Alice's Tea Cup, Chapter I
My husband and I had weekly 'dates' at Alice's when we lived in NYC. It is a wonderful place with tasty treats and an amazing assortment of teas. They even have a tea of the month club you can join! Sometimes the service is slow, but the charm of the setting outweighs the wait. There are a few rules that can make it hard to have large groups on weekends (must be over 6 to make a reservation but 8 or more must get the Mad Hatter, etc), but weeknights are terrific. Brunch is delightful and the scones are unmatched. I long for a Los Angeles equivalent to Alice's.
