We serve a very British menu in our warm and inviting tearoom, including homemade jam and clotted cream, baked beans on toast, steak and kidney pies,British pork pies, ploughman's and tea sandwiches. The shop is open daily, except Tuesdays and is located in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut and is now located on Rt 169 in South Woodstock, Connecticut just across the street from the Woodstock Fairgrounds. We would like to announce a complete renovation of the interior of Mrs. Bridges' Pantry! The tea room is now more spacious and pretty. Our menu is also larger and more varied. Our remodeled gift room is still stocked with British foods, fine teaware and unique gifts. We carry over 275 fine teas, loose, bagged and sachet, from purveyers such as Harney & Sons, Taylors, Republic of Tea, Metropolitan Tea co., Harrison&Crossfield, Teatulia and others.

My visit here was my first visit ever to a tea room. I had nothing to compare it to but I was taken back from the moment I walked in the door. The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere which is so warm and welcoming. The service was friendly, the food delicious. I'll be back soon.

I am very pleased with the renovated tea room at Mrs. Bridge's Pantry - the room is bright and more spacious and the wallpaper is gorgeous. The atmosphere, service, and food were great as always. Well done - we'll be back for many more lunch dates. My mouth is already watering for a delicious lemon square.

I have been here several times and also when it was located in another location in CT. It is a true English tearoom with a true English lady running it. Its great fun and she has a variety of item to purchase as well.

For the past year or so, me and my best friend have been itching to make a trip to Mrs.Bridges Pantry. The past saturday, we finally made it a demand we go and it was for sure worth it! Coming from Rhode Island, we made the trip and were impressed with the shop, the selection, atmosphere, and staff. We first started off trying 'cream earl grey', in which one of the wonderful girls at the shop recommended. The tearoom was very busy but the waitress attended to all our needs! After fulfilling ourselves with beef and onion pub pies, we squeezed in a couple delicious scones! I didn't want to leave! I had to take a few scones home with me ! Thank you so much to the staff at Mrs. Bridges and the marvelous environment ! We will be back!

I stop by Mrs. Bridges every few months to pick up some food staples but have never eaten there. That changed this past Sunday, my sister and I decided that since it was such a cold afternoon we would stop for some tea and scones. It was delicious!!! We had only wished we had gone in for lunch because the food being served at other tables looked and smelled fabulous. We both promised ourselves we'd be back again to try the soup and quiches for a sisters only lunch. I give the service and food an A+.

My first trip to Mrs. Bridges occurred about four years ago, my English friend Marge introduced me to tea in the afternoon. We have tried other tea shoppes but always return to Mrs. Bridges because of the friendly staff and delicious food, not to mention the tea. Today I purchased knitting instructions and some yarn to make socks, I have wanted to do this for a very long time and at Mrs. Bridges they always encouraged me. Also, we enjoy the antique shoppes in the area and although I say I really don't need anything, I usually come home with at least a cup and saucer! Thank you Mrs. Bridges!! Mary

This tea room is absolutely charming and the owners are delightful. Being from England they give an authentic feel just like we have experienced in UK. Much of the food is made from scratch right in the shop and you can tell that their recipes use only the best of ingredients. Don't pass this gem buy.

I love Mrs Bridges. I like to take my book and read while I sip my tea and eat my lunch or goodie. The owners are delightful and very talkative.Staff is grea too. We even swap the latest paperbacks. Loaded with tons of tea room stuff, candy, you name it they have it. Small but cozy.

The tearoom is one part of a diverse enterprise in a small building (food shop, gift shop, ice cream sales, tearoom). The tea area consists of 4 little tables in a small alcove, with cute linens (though sticky and crumb-y) and fake flower decorations. I did not find it to be a relaxing environment, and on the day I visited the staff seemed overwhelmed by the various demands on their time.

      Tearoom response:

We actually have six tables. sorry you didn't like our silk flowers and that your table had crumbs on it. But, more importantly, how was the tea?

I went there before noon and had cold service from the staff. I hope it's better later in the day!

      Tearoom response:

Our apologies for our 'coolness'. Sometimes we get a little preoccupied first thing in the morning, before the lunch-time staff arrive at noon.

This tearoom has an extensive selection of teas, yummy tea sandwiches, as well as a variety of scones. Scones come with a side of clotted cream and fresh strawberry jam or lemon curd. There is also a shop in which you can buy all kinds of British foods. My husband and I enjoy visiting this tearoom, but prepared to wait for a table to clear.

My girlfriend and I drove almost 2 hours to go here for tea and lunch and we were not disappointed. Both were delicious and the staff was very friendly. The weather was dreadful that day and we almost didn't go...we are glad we did and we will be back

I brought some friends to Mrs. Bridges Pantry for lunch and tea. It was quite nice, although the service was a bit lacking. Yummy french onion tart and black current crumble.

      Tearoom response:

Our apologies. We pride ourself on our service - assume the tearoom was full and the girls were working full-out. Tell our counter asst. if you ever have a problem. Veronica and Diana
