My sister and I took a break from our travels and stopped for Afternoon Tea. We chose a wonderful place to visit. The food was excellent and presented on a 3 tier stand. The sandwiches, savories and scones were all excellent. The selection of tea was good, advice was given about the teas, if needed, and we were given individual pots with plenty of hot water refills for our loose leaf teas. I look forward to returning the next time I am in the area. The antique store was a bonus, as well as many items for sale in the tearoom. The atmosphere and room decor were outstanding.

My sister, Robin, and friend, Deanna, and I loved our visit! The scones were yummy. The Devonshire Cream was outstanding! We wore our own hats and gloves and had a blast just relaxing and being girlie. Thank you for the beautiful establishment where girls can be girls and can be proud to be feminine.

My first impression upon walking in was not a good one as our hostess greeted us wearing old and stained clothes that were far from professional and in my opinion, unacceptable for the atmosphere. We were seated in the sun room, and welcomed by a beautifully arranged table. The room itself was gorgeous, but had too many tables/decor stuffed in it. Lots of windows, allowing sunlight in, but the scenery outside was nothing special. You either have a view of the field, the road or the field and the road. Some landscaping would be a great idea. Our hostess was very informative about the teas, sported a never-ending smile and had a most delightful demeanor. Although the teas were delicious, I did not care for the assortment of pastries and tea sandwiches, however in their defense, I blame it on my own palate. Personally, all of the pastries were too rich and the sandwiches were quite bland. The prices are good and I enjoyed looking though the items they have for sale. Although the pros out weigh the cons with my experience there I don't think I will return.

I took my daughter here today for her Birthday. Although I have visited the shop several times, today was the first time I had lunch there. I don't think there is a tea available that they do not serve! We had the three-tiered lunch consisting of warm scones and creamy butter, a wide assortment of finger sandwiches which were delicious and too much for 2 people to enjoy and a tier of an assortment of desserts which melted in your mouth! We had to take some food home ~ You will not leave hungry! DO NOT LEAVE without visiting Holly at The Mercantile Shop next door! Tell her Carol sent you:) I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHOP! If you need a gift for someone or just want to treat yourself, I guarantee you will NOT leave empty-handed! Her prices are very reasonable! Take a drive and partake of this wonderful experience! You'll be glad you did!

Have visited the tea house on many occasions. The fare is always wonderful and the staff, always charming. With regard to the 1/3/10 reviewer...the price is clearly stated on the menu and includes tax and gratuity. Additional tips are never added on in my experience.

I ended up calling last minute for a reservation for an early Mother's Day Afternoon Tea. The first time I called they had two spots open but I had to check to make sure the time was ok for my mother. When I called back they were booked. About five minutes later, they called me back to tell me there was an opening and we took it (I was not expecting the call, so I was very pleased about that). When we got there we were sitted within five minutes. A few minutes later, a group with a bunch of young girls came in and sat next to us. We asked if there was another place for us to sit and even though they were busy they were able to move us. The tea was delicious (I had strawberry green tea and my mother had cherry rose green tea), as well as the salad (very yummy strawberry vinaigrette dressing, we bought some) sandwiches, desserts and scones. They gave us a box to take home the leftovers as well. I will be back and soon for my Nan's birthday. I will recommend this place to others!

We visited this tea house in Feburary and the afternoon tea experience was absolutly wonderful. We can not wait to return. We also went to their Valentines dinner event and the food, the live music, the service, everything was magical. I would highly recommend the White Linen Tea House to everyone!!!!!

Very disappointed with the service . We were told we should make a reservation next time. Gratuity of 17 % was added to the bill by waitress. Total bill came to $52.00 including the tip for 2 people - home was beautiful though. Won't return.

My family and I visited the White Linen Tea Room for my grandmothers 94th birthday. We had so many wonderful memories to take back home with us. We felt so pampered and cared about. We were truely relaxed and felt so good inside. The food was excellent, the presentation was so beautiful. We could not believe how many choices there were to choose from for tea or coffee, and there were even other beverages besides. We can't say enough about the service, it was excellent. You can tell everyone really cares about you and if you are happy. I will always recommend this tea house to everyone I talk with. The price of the tea is a great price for what you recieve, the gratuity is included and is 17% which we thought was very fair, and the tax is 8%. When I was looking at the reviews and I saw a review that wasn't happy about the gratuity I couldn't understand why they were upset. The bill clearly states the cost of the tea, the gratuity, and the tax, everything is included. So maybe they just didn't look at their bill well enough to know the gratuity is already included. This tea house is a hidden treasure. -Lorraine Gulczewski

Went to the The White Linen Tea Room in December 2008. It was a very nice experience. The table settings were just goregous and the presentation was very well done. The food was very fresh and delicious. My little cousins just loved the quaint table settings with the little spoons, sugar cubes, tea bag holders, and little containers. However, I didn't enjoy the large price tag. The actual price per person is fair, for all that they do and the quality you get it is worth it, but the unexpected gratuity was NOT so fair. I was floored by that little surprise and that they expected a tip on top of it? I think NOT, that would be my only issue with this tea room, other than that we had a very lovely time. I would highly recommend it, but be prepared for a little extra something when the check comes.

we visited the white linen tea room in june of 2008 and could not have had a more delightful time! the request for a vegetarian version of high tea came with a smile as delicious finger sandwiches of red pepper and cream, tomato basil mozzarella , cucumber dill, fresh strawberries with peanut butter. asparagus and sweet pepper were presented along with traditional chicken salad, egg salad etc. the pots of tea were amazing as we all shared between loose leaf and bagged tea varieties, and purchased some to come home they were so good. the tray of fresh fruit and sweet delights such as lemon squares, cheese cake, chocolate p. butter squares, pecan nut tarts etc were perfect . the extra surprises such as the appetizer to start and the chocolate tea pot sucker upon completion sealed the deal.... we will be back! :) there are antique barn co ops behind the tea room for browsing as well so you can easily make an entire afternoon of this adorable. immaculate. soothing. destination!
