Rooibos tea was delicious, ambiance was nice. Especially the back patio in the fall. When visited, they had a time limit on how long you could stay at a table, unsure whether that is still occurring or not. Would go again.

Trident, like most of the coffee shops in Boulder, seem to get their teas all from the same place. Judged by the constantly crowded room, Trident is considered a Boulder institution.

The Trident hands down has the best selection of tea at the best prices. Been going there for years and not one of the newer tea places can compare. If you're looking for a tea house or swanky modern look-at-me kind of place then go elsewhere. If you want a community coffee and tea house you can't find better. The wood stove is a plus!

Although better known as a coffee shop, Trident offers a surprisingly diverse selection of loose tea packed behind the serving counter. The cheerful staff will prepare a pot of tea for you, but you should be clear about the portion size before brewing, as there is a tendency to put too much in the filter. People-watching at the outside tables or reading inside are common activities with an eclectic mix of Boulder's population. Pastries are fresh and service is brisk at this landmark Pearl Street Mall site.

I'd guess about 40 choices of loose leaf: whites, greens, oolongs, pu erhs, and blacks, plus herbals. Mostly China and Japan. Lively room, attached to small bookstore, Some outside seating.

The Trident is a Boulder institution. But (while it serves tea) it is really a coffee shop and bookstore.
