Truly a Victorian Experience. The house opened Mother's Day Weekend 2010.

The R. L. Wilson House is located in the Historic District of Noblesville, Indiana just south of S.R.32. Noblesville was nominated as one of the "Best Small Towns" in America. This town is full of charm and historic buildings especially on the Town Square.

It has taken 3 years to renovate this wonderful home to what we have today. The interior of the home is beautifully decorated with antiques and period furniture. Each room has its own uniqueness and its own name. The grounds have over 700 plants bushes and bulbs and are scheduled to bloom through the spring, summer and fall seasons. The R.L. Wilson House was built in 1864 and is on the National Registry of Historic Houses. We received the "Community Pride Award" from the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce in May of 2010. We were also honored to receive the Enterprise Award for Excellence in the Renovation/Construction category from the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce in October. Thank you Noblesville Preservation Alliance for awarding us with the Josiah Durfee Award in 2011. This is a very coveted award among historians and preservationists. This is given for excellence and for a significant project that has a very strong impact on the community. Very proud to have received this award. Think about hosting your event at the R. L. Wilson House whether it is a rehearsal dinner, shower, birthday party or any special event.

We host two Specially Themed Teas each year. We pair loose-leaf or pyramid bagged teas with the themed teas. Individual infused bags are also available such as Egyptian Mint, Earl Grey, green and many more. I personally like herb, and roolibos teas.

Each table will have its own table-scape with various bone china, crystal, silver and eclectic accessories. Beverages are served in Silver Tea Pots or cold servers. Desserts are served on tiered trays.

Spring is almost here! The Mad Hatter Tea is almost around the corner and we will have a fabulous time. Spring's coming and blooms will abound. Rejoice in spring!! Our annual Mother's Day Tea is also just around the corner. Invite a friend, sister, and of course, your mother. Wear a hat, laugh, this will be a talked about tea. Reserve now as we are almost always sold out!

Parties can be scheduled anytime for groups of 25 or more. Our phone number is: 317-770-9399. We pride ourselves in serving fresh, made from scratch, and seasonal food. We grow our own herbs for use in our recipes. Heavenly Sweets owns and operates the R. L. Wilson house and has been voted "Best Fancy Cakes" by Indianapolis Monthly and Named in Indianapolis Dine as one of the best chefs for desserts. Along with wonderful cakes we have all butter scones, moist banana bread, homemade preserves, devon cream, lemon curd, strawberry soup, dressings, etc.

The next big event will be our Mad Hatter's Tea March 15, 2014 at 11:30. Check out our website: www.rlwilsonhouse.net

I attended the Mother's Day Tea this year 2013. I was very impressed with everything from the decoration to the food presentation. The staff definately puts a lot of time and consideration into their events. The tea was served properly and the waitress was very pleasent and had a smile the whole time. I will definately be back to another tea. I hear the Mad Hatter is a hoot!

Very disappointing appointing for the price! My wife and I have been going to tea rooms for the past 15 years to celebrate special events. First we thought we would be having a nice intimate tea together, but when we got there we had to sit at a 'friendship' table. A nice way of putting us with total strangers. The room was packed full to the point where I even questioned if we were within fire code regulations. To go to the restroom it took a series of events because the chairs behind us blokes me in. If that wasn't bad enough I had to constantly help the server by passing everyone's food and drink to them. I even explained all this to the owner who seemed unphased. She then went on to explain to me that they only have teas twice a year, which was painfully obvious.

Came here for the first time for the Mother's Day Tea event on Sat. May 11, 2013, the menu was light & scrumptious. The Chicken Velvet Soup was awesome (recipe please). I particularly enjoyed the Ayres' Chicken Salad in Filo Cups. The long anticipsted dessert pairing are coming and I know they will be delish. Truly one Heavenly Sweets Day of yumminess.

The wonderful decor will enlighten the young and old on the older victorian times. I have been to a tea and luncheon both to which I had a great experience. The tea's and food are exceptional, and the pastries are just that 'heavenly sweet' ! The ladies are very nice and always have a smile on their face.

My high school girlfriends and I met last Saturday at the R.L.Wilson House. They were having their Christmas Extravaganza that day. It was our first time there and it was so nice we decided to return in March when they have their 'Mad Hatters' event. The service was great as well as the peppermint tea and scones were out of this world! I highly recommend visiting. The only drawback was they were so busy it was hard to hear each other and carry on conversations.

We made reservations in March for the mid summer tea leaving our credit card info to res as we wanted to try the #1 tea room in Indy and it was over a 200 mile round trip. She didn't bother to call us to cancel when she apparently got a better offer for a private event. I don't belive that tearooms deserve to be rated if you can only partake if you have enough for a private event or can change their schedule to suit them instead of honoring their commitments and ads. I had to make 3 subsequent calls to get some comfort that the credit card info that I had left was secure and she suggested to cancel my card although she trusts her staff. I reccomend Ruby Pear that is great and also in Noblesville.

I hosted a bridal shower tea party at the R.L. Wilson House for my best friend. The atmosphere was a delightfully traditional. Heavenly Sweets Cakes presented us with superior quality tea (Wild Encounter), food selections, and services during our party. I would highly recommend this location for a private party and would book another party myself with out hesitation.

My mother and I attended the mother's day tea. We were both very impressed and had a wonderful experience. The house itself is beautiful and decorated true to it's style and time period. Very traditional> table deocrations were pretty floral. The food was elegant and of course the cake is the best in town. The service is excellent, it was such a treat. Tea served was a citrus chamomile, mild and very smooth and paired well with the first courses. A berry blend was served with desert, full and sweet. Both were prepared perfectly. We had attended the Mad Hatter tea in March and enjoyed it so much we came back for mother's day- we were not disappointed!

Deaf Red Hatters attended Mad Hatter tea party. It was a blast! Very colorfully and tasetefully done. The decorations are awesome to make us feel we were in the Alice in the Wonderland. Servers and consumers were dressed in character. Mad Hatter gave me an autograph,' How dreadfully awful it was to meet you! Mad Hatter! He did a wonderful job being the host of this awesome tea party. Food were sooo delicious. We ate Cheshire Cat! It was actually called Cheshire Cat Apple and Peanut Butter Grins as a second course. I subscribe to the R.L. Wilson House/Heavenly Sweets email list, and read that there would be a First Annual Mother's Day Tea, and that space was limited. My family has adored anything Tanya Marshall attaches her name to, so I called immediately to make a reservation. I figured I would be directed to an answering service, but believe it or not, at 5:00 A.M., Tanya herself answered the phone! I was mortified at first, but soon realized that Tanya is the hardest working, most gracious host! My mom and I emphatically agreed that we would make this tea a part of our Mother's Day celebration each year. It was nothing short of phenomenal.

I received word about the Christmas Tea, I called and scheduled a reservation (this time, during normal business hours!), and for a month and a half, my mom and I must have mentioned it several times a week how anxious we were to see the House at Christmas, and sample all of Tanya's amazing treats.

Yesterday was the 'Big Day', and we had such an incredible time, as planned! The staff is highly attentive and personable, and we felt as if we were being treated like dear friends by the ladies.

We were a bit worried about the snowfall, but Tanya and her crew are as meticulous about the snow removal and salt on the sidewalks as they are about culinary arts.

Thanks again for the hospitality, and we greatly look forward to seeing you soon!

I attended the Mother's Day tea and didn't know what to expect....it was my first tea. It was and is one of the most memorable experiences I've had. The decor is Vicorian with soft colors and unique accents and beautifully decorated. The atmospher was warm, inviting, charming and welcoming. The tea pairings was exceptional! A different tea was served each course. They ranged from light and fruity to bold and full flavored to mildly sweet and spicy.

Each tea accompanied different dishes from soup, to the most delisious home made salad dressing I've ever tasted to a wide assortment (five to be exact) of finger sandwiches to an extronary array of heavenly sweets.

I have and will continue to recommend the R. L. Wilson house to rave about my experience to everyone I know.

Fantastic cozy and cheerful environment. Attention to detail (tea, china, table, hats, decor, service) from start to finish. Enjoyed meeting several out of state visitors at our table. Also really appreciated staff accomodating last minute addition of 4 year old little one due to a family hospitalization. Tea at R L Wilson will be my new secret weapon to treat myself.

'What are these wonderful spices in the food?' 'Why does this taste so much better than I can make at home?' 'How can they prepare this much delicious food for ALL these people?' 'I bet they do not own a can opener.' All these things were heard being said at our 'friendship' table. Which is exactly what it became. We were placed at a table with several other different groups and before we left we all knew each other as if we had been friends our entire lives. The tea room was packed full of what I believe were all 'friends' before they left. Laughter and joyous conversation radiated throughout the rooms. How does it get any better than good food, good friends, and good conversation? I will tell you. Great service! Our day started with being greeted at the door and escorted to our seats. Followed by a handsome gentleman filling our water glasses and introducing himself. As the service progressed, we met several of the servers. You could tell this team of servers was just that - a team. Not a glass went dry or a need went unmet. And every server was beyond pleasant and kept a smile on their faces throughout the entire day. Our food arrived in courses one right after another. A variety of teas both hot and cold accompanied the different courses. Dessert. A subject these folks have perfected. I agree with the lady in a previous post about licking the plate. I did not lick my plate but I was certainly scraping the crumbs! If you are looking for the perfect tea house in Noblesville, this is THE place. My husband and I have tried many in several states and this one beats them ALL!

My daughter and I had the pleasure of dining in the RL. Wilson House for lunch today. There really are not enough kind words to describe our experience. We both enjoyed the quiche. The best quiche I have ever eaten. And I have certainly tried my share of quiche. For dessert I endulged in the 'wedding cake torte'. It was beyond incredible. My daughter went with the strawberry shortcake. Let's just say that if we could have licked the plates without looking immature and ridiculous we certainly would have. Not a speck of food went to waste at our table. The house is stunningly beautiful. The service and hospitality is truly unmatched. I have dined in many quaint restaurants in my time but this particular one will become my new favorite. Thank you to staff and the chef.

Last Saturday's Tea at the beautifully restored Wilson House made summertime memories that will last a lifetime. The warm personal service and the attention to detail made every dish a delight. On the same note I will totally disagree with anyone who has anything negative to say about Saturday's tea. The food was fabulous. The amount of time between courses was perfect. A tea is supposed to be for savoring and socializing. Which our party certainly utilized. The time you have spent decorating and the love that has gone in to this beautiful house is apparent. I was fortunate enough to visit the RL Wilson House for their MidSummer Tea this past weekend. It was one of the most prestigious experiences I have ever endured at a tea house. Every tiny detail was thought of. The food was incredible tasting and certainly plenty of it. The table settings were beautiful. The service was unbelievably attentive. Our glasses never went empty and not a single need went untended. Best of all every server had a smile for us every time they interacted. I sincerely felt welcome in their home. My experience at the R.L. Wilson house was great. I enjoyed the sevice, the atmosphere, and everything overall. The ancient building was a good surrounding for a tea house. The soup of the day was mushroom and cream and it was the best soup i have ever had. The strawberry shortcake was homeade and was scrumptious. But, the soup is the motive for my return to the house. I am so excited about the Friday lunch service. I attended the Mother's Day Tea with my daughter & daughter-in-law. We had a fabulous time & the food was delicious! That was no surprise, though, since Heavenly Sweets had made both of their wedding cakes, a baby shower cake for my daughter, & a wedding cake for a vow renewal for my husband & me that they so graciously helped pack for us to take to Florida. Our only complaint was the very small bite of cake on the dessert tray. Although ALL the desserts were wonderful,(especially the lemon bars), nothing surpasses the cakes. Imagine my delight at finding cake on the lunch menu! The house is beautiful & we enjoyed looking in each room at the very different decor. I will definitely be attending more teas & lunches!

Not your typical tea room experience. Most have come to feel commercial and almost desperate. Not here. This is a tea room in the truest sense. As you enter you cannot help but notice the beautiful victorian decor. The harpist playing softly in the background lets you know you are in a place that is calm and inviting. The food served was delicious. Some of the things served were: cucumber sandwiches; homemade soup; a salad that was fresh and pleasing to the palate; banana bread with brie and strawberries; hot scones and marmalade; chocolate covered strawberries; lemon bars; brownies; cake; mousse cups; imported chocolates. We lost count of how many types of the pyramid tea that was served. Several varieties each delightful. Overall I found this particular location to be outstanding. I have and I will continue to recommend to anyone and everyone that they visit the R.L. Wilson tea house. I, myself, will become a regular. I love a place worthy of being on the tea map. No pun and pun intended.

The R.L. Wilson House felt like home from the moment we entered the doors. The decorations within the home are heartfelt and cherished items and the atmosphere is one of contentment, joy, and love. I travel surrounding states visiting tea rooms and this one will stay at the top of my favorites list. The food was stunning in variety, flavor, and assortment. These folks also own a bakery from what I understand and it must be a real moneymaker based on the food served. I enjoyed my every moment spent at the R.L. Wilson House. I hated to see the afternoon come to a close. I plan to return as often as my health and the establishment allows it. If you are a tea lover, a food lover, or have a seldom cured sweet tooth, this is your place. Thank you to the staff for such pleasantries and the owners for going above and beyond. You do not see that much these days and it is very appreciated when you find a place with such impeccable standards.

Wow! No other word quite describes the R.L. Wilson House. I have long heard the outstanding reputation of Heavenly Sweets. Life has kept me in such a tailspin that the Mother's Day Tea was my first opportunity to experience anything that came from Heavenly Sweets. I now know why they have such a fabulous reputation. The food-- unbelievable. We were served an enormous amount of food. Every single bite of that food was incredible. Perfect flavor, taste and even a delightful blend of texture. I could go on about the food for days. But to be fair this review would mean nothing if I did not tell you about the desserts. Each one seemed to melt in your mouth and be even more delightful. I think I gained 20 pounds in desserts. And the cake-- if you have not tried their cake you are missing the reason the bakery is called Heavenly Sweets. 'Heavenly' is the only way to describe their cake! The service at the tea was unbelievable. Not a tea cup went dry before being refilled. No one could have possibly had a want or need that day. The smiles provided were worth their weight in gold. From the time we came in and were greeted by the kindest gentleman to on our way out the little redhead clearing tables-- we were made to feel like we were a treat to the staff rather than they were treating us! And the decor--- stunning. It is a house full of love and everyone knows it. I have attended many teas in my day-- never one that came close to the one here at the R.L.Wilson House. I will become a regular. I am telling everyone I know if they haven't been they MUST go and if they have already-- call me I will go again and again. Outstanding job to this facilities owners and staff.

menu was impeccable! The sweets made

us feel like we were in Heaven! From

the time we entered until leaving

the staff was ever so gracious and

      the service was outstanding. What

a lovely touch for Tanya to be present and go around to each table

to introduce herself. We have been

to many tea rooms but the Wilson

      Home by far exceeded our

expectations and made for a beautiful Mother's Day remembrance.

Not a single detail was missed. I

      certainly will return with other

friends to this delightful establishment and continue to sing

      the praises of Heavenly Sweets.

We thoroughly enjoyed the R.L. Wilson House's 1st Annual Mother's Day Tea. From the harpist to the table settings to the tea and food to the service to the beautiful restoration of the home, it was all top notch!!! It was a Mother's Day celebration that we will always remember. Tonya, you did a fantastic job! We look forward to the next event that we can attend!
