A visit to this lovely tearoom is a must when in the beautiful town of Rothbury. Great quality homemade food and drink are served by the very friendly and welcoming staff. There is also the bonus of a good variety of gifts to browse through while you are there.

A lovely tea room in the heart of Rothbury run by its owners who really take care about the service and their home-made food.

I cannot praise this tearoom enough! I visited with my blind mother aged 83 and have never experienced such caring treatment. I rang ahead to book a table requesting it to be near to the toilet. On arrival we were actually met at the door by one of the staff, who immediately assisted my mother to her seat and helped to remove her coat. Mam felt very confident enjoying a beautifully freshly made sandwich and pot of tea, in a beautifully designed tearoom.Small but spacious and littered with quality gifts and jewellry. We will certainly be back!!!

They say everything is better with a good cup of tea and at Harley's that couldn't be more true. Quality tea's (and so many to choose from) and excellent food beautifully present. And that little something extra, the people, Ron, Kath and Vicky are the most warm and welcoming people you will meet. A visit to the area is not complete without a visit to Harley's and a cup of tea at Harley's is never just a cup of tea.

The Earl Grey (loose leaf, prepared in special cafetiere-type pots) is particularly good (you can buy supplies to take home too), and I can peronally reoommend Vicki's special Lattes. Food is traditional, always top quality (I reoommend the Thai cod fishcakes) and the atmosphere and service are unbeatable - friendly, calm, lots of jewellery and beautiful things to look at and buy... a haven.

After a busy day sightseeing we were hot and tired when we entered Harley's Tea Room. It was like walking into a little bit of heaven, cool, calm and very pleasant. It also had some great little gifts!

Superb food, superb service and superb ambience. We visited two years ago with our pen friend from Canada. She was so impressed that when she visited us again this year it was one of the first places on her itinerary.

This is our favourite Northumbrian Tearoom. Over the years we have enjoyed returning on many occassions and you are always assured of a friendly welcome.

They serve a good range of loose leaf teas here, which include a good range of fruit and herbs teas and a delicious Earl Grey, these are all served in a teapress. There is also a good pot of humble teabag tea if you are less adventurous in your taste.

The food is hearty, fresh and tasty, and we would recomend it.

If you are visiting or live in Northumberland Harley's Tearoom is must.
