The Whistler Tea Room (3 reviews)
I have loved this tea room for years (since before it moved to its current location, back in the 90s!). However I went with my mother the other day and they were less than smiling and welcoming. My mother ordered a sandwich and the bread was soggy and damp, as if just defrosted. I asked them to change it, which they did, to more soggy bread! There was no effort to acknowledge or solve the problem, so we might defect to the newly opened Tea on the Green! It takes years to build up loyalty in a customer but only one instance of bad service to lose them!
Haha!yes i agree. Go somewhere else if I were you.Food alright but nothing special.pretty soulless.
I went there last year, and the food was ok but not great, and my wife had to ask 3 times before getting a top-up of her drink again. The staff only seem to be friendly to those that know them from OUTSIDE the tearooms..I noticed they didn't take other customers seriously and one young waitress with red hair was useless, and looked bored silly.Food was ok but avoid at all costs. We had only just noticed the place was there, and now we don't need bother going back.Ever heard of friendly service?
