This is my favorite of all tea houses and I have been to many. What sets it apart is the amount of room they have to work with. This was originally a fire house and the bays where the fire trucks parked have been turned into beautiful areas for tea. One is a Teddy Bear room with a wall full of teddy bear decorated window boxes. They change the outfits and themes in the window boxes for each holiday. Another area is the Whimsical Room with a custom made purple chandelier. It also has a wall of window boxes with tea items such as teapots in them. They have a beautiful round booth that looks like a fancy tea cup from the outside. It is deep red velvet on the inside. There is a huge selection of tea. It is loose and available for purchase. The food is amazing. They start you off with a small shortbread cookie and sorbet. After that comes the soup and the salad. Then they bring out the 3 tiered server loaded with sandwiches, scones and sweets. It is an hour drive from my home but I went back 3 times in the first year after experiencing it. The service is wonderful. There is also a wonderful gift shop. I am totally hooked on their tea hats for sale. I have purchased 3 so far. If you want to visit on a weekend make sure you have reservations. Weekdays are much quieter.

Beautiful Victorian Tea Room, a great experience for my girls and I. Magical décor, delightful Royal Tea with all the extras. Scones were tasty and moist, ideal with the clotted cream and jam. Tea sandwiches and desserts were well worth the cost. We will be back soon.

This is a beautiful tea room. The food was tasty, the service was good. If I lived in the area this would be come a regular spot, without question. We made reservations and sat in the giant teacup... VERY fun for my little girl. Great experience, highly recommend.

At 89 years old I've been to many different tea rooms in my day. Oh my word, years ago you wouldn't go without your hat and gloves. Nowadays anything goes, so despite the fact that this is an upscale tea room, with a plush interior, in this case you could dress up or down, and still feel comfortable, which is fine by me. (Where did I put those white gloves anyway?) Although I've always opted for the 'Royal Tea', they seem to have a large selection of lunch items, so if you have someone along, such as a husband, who doesn't want the dainties, it would be perfectly fine. There is even wine on the menu, should you want a sip with your luncheon. I appreciate the versatility, although I'm probably going to stick with the tea, since it is such a treat. By far, this is the best tea room I've been to. The staff is attentive, the adorable decor changes with the season/holiday, it is very clean, comfortable & the atmosphere is serene. Everyone makes me feel right at home, and the nice young man, John, is a true gentleman. He holds the door open for me, and since I use a walker now, that can take awhile. I've never been to a tea where you received sorbet with a shortbread cookie, then salad, let alone soup, then the tiered tray of sandwiches, a large vanilla scone, & desserts. The food is plentiful & absolutely delicious. I've always had to ask for a box to take my treats home, & they package it so prettily. My favorite salad dressing is peach, and I love either the Ginger Peach tea, or the Winter one. Having been several times now it is clear the tea sandwiches and goodies change constantly, as does the soup. The only repeat has been the cucumber sandwich & vanilla scone. On my birthday I was given a lovely teacup & saucer with a ribbon around it & a crown. What a nice surprise! (I was grateful that they didn't sing 'Happy Birthday'.) Hint: For a special occasion, ask ahead to be seated in the 'Teacup Booth', which is a giant beautifully decorated teacup. It's so fun and plush! This is a hidden treasure in Dixon, and worth going out of your way for. My only complaint is that I don't get around as well as I used to, so I have to wait for a younger friend to drive me, instead of popping by at will. (She is also posting this on my behalf, since I am not computer literate.) Considering the quite reasonable price, I would recommend Linde Lane at any time, not just a special occasion. We all deserve some extra attention, and to feel pampered, for no particular reason. Also, it is more economical for two to have the full tea here, then it is to go out to a restaurant for lunch. I highly recommend Linde Lane Tearoom. Enjoy!

Went to this lovely tea room for Mother's Day. Everything was fantastic, from the food (which was plentiful and extremely tasty), to the excellent service, and the amazing decor. It made for a very memorable Mother's Day. We will absolutely be back!

My goal in life it to go to all tea rooms, and I have been to many. Linde Lane is darling, well appointed decor both for adults and children. Lovely touches, and gift items. Wonderful hats for sale, very elaborate. We all agreed it has a wonderful feeling when you walk in. They first served sorbet with shortbread cookie to start followed by a very good clam chowder AND a lovely salad with mixed greens.Perhaps the sorbet should have been served after the soup and salad We then had wonderful scones. They served one per person but two different types. I would suggest making them either the same kind or much smaller so that you could taste each. We split ours so that we could taste each one. Up to that point it was wonderful and creative. For me and my friends, there were 7 of us, the only negative was the sandwiches. Tiny, with not much filling, however we were served plenty to start with. But we wished they had followed through. The egg was just regular egg. Crab had too much filler and should have been warmed, cucumber a little soggy desserts were okay. But again, all in all very nice, just work on the sandwiches

Nice selections of teas. I told them I liked mine strong and they put two bags in the pot! Delicious. Food was good. Brocolli and cheese soup was delicious and the salad was fresh and crisp. Bread on the sandwiches might could have been a bit fresher but still the filling was good. The overall experience was pleasant. The staff were helpful.

Beautiful setting and good food. The senses are overwhelmed. The setting is Victorian, but the staff makes it feel fun and cheery. We were invited to look around and see everything. The food was good and plentiful. At no time did we feel rushed. We've already booked our Christmas tea here. Don't think I can wait that long. This tea room is a must to see and experience. You won't be sorry.

This is a fabulous tea room, definitely one of a kind! Magnificently decorated, with not even the smallest detail overlooked. They have a broad assortment of high quality teas, served by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food is equally good (they serve probably the best scones I've ever had, almond poppyseed), and large generous portions are given. All in all, I highly recommend this place, and can't wait to come back again!

I took a group 25 Red Hat ladies for our Holiday celebration this weekend. This tea room is a delight and our servers were outstanding. Kristina Wiley has an excellent staff and a lovely place. As Red Hat ladies can be, our group was loud but they were having a wonderful time and loved the experience. This is the 2nd time the group has been there and I'm sure they'll want to revisit again next year. So glad this tea room is doing well.

My almost 91 year old mother and I had lunch today. Was she ever impressed and telling everyone about how much fun we had! She has been to Tea Rooms in other places in the world, but she was so excited with this one. Our server was Shelly, and what a doll she is. My mom felt pampered by her. We'll be back with her lady friends next. Maybe her 91st BD seated in the tea cup? Thank you for making our day!

We were pleased to find Linde Lane on our way home to Oregon from the Sacramento area. We stopped on Sunday, Aug 21 and were just delighted with the atmosphere, staff and menu. Unfortunately, we had a decent breakfast so only had room for tea and scones . . . As a former tea room owner, we have high standards/expectations and Linde Lane met them with flying colors. The scones were real scones! Our questions and requests were answered fully, with a smile. We will be sure to return next trip with an appetite!

      Tearoom response:

Thank you for your kind words. They mean so much, especially since you used to own a tea room. It is so much work and we try very hard to make sure everyone has a special visit. When you come again, let us know so the owner can come meet you!!! Linde

I have been to the Linde Lane Tearoom several times and each visit is such a wonderful experience! Today, I went with three first-time tearoom visitors...it was their first time to visit any tearoom. They absolutely loved it! Everyone is so attentive and helpful, the decor is beautiful, the tea choices are limitless, and the food is delicious!! The soup today was tomato basil...sounds plain?? No way!! It was absolutely delicious! Honestly, the best I have ever had! The quiche was like a little taste of heaven and the scones were delicious as always! I recommend this tearoom all of the time to everyone. If you want to give yourself a little gift, go visit the Linde Lane tearoom!

This tea room is a special place. Almost magical. I came here with my sisters and we sat in the teacup. The service was excellent. My favorite part of the royal tea was the pate. It is my understanding that the menu rotates, so I am anxious to see what comes next. But that pate was the best I had ever had. And mushroom soup....that was really good. And the little cheesecake mousses. Those were good. Everything was good. Just a great afternoon of fun.

Once again Linde Lane has exceeded our expectations for a glorious tea experience. today we had time restrictions in our group, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely and met our time quota. the food, service etc was 5 star and its a shame that the lady from vacaville was so unkind in her remarks. she must have been wearing blinders. linde lane is the best tearoom we have ever been to anywhere, and we definitely will be going agin.

I have gone to several tea houses of the bay area and you always are seated at the table for two hours. So, when our tea and food today kept coming quickly and our bill to our table within one hour--I felt rushed and the experience was somewhat lacking in what it should be... While the ambience is quite good and unique, the service and food is just good...

If you don't live in Dixon you should take a drive and try this wonderful tearoom. My girlfriends and I made the drive on Saturday and we think it's one of the very best tearooms we've ever been to. The tea was steaming hot and the tea selection plentiful. The service was excellent and the staff were attentive & friendly. But the food...the food was just too good! They had me at the scone. The scone was 'perfect'. The raspberry sauce was delicious. Everything was homemade and artfully presented. The daily special asparagus salad with homemade Dijon vinaigrette was sooo good! The desserts that came with the Royal Tea tray were unique and so fresh and I want to try them all again; especially the bread pudding with a vanilla custard sauce and the shortbread cookie topped with key lime. If you like tea and tasty food and a beautiful clean atmosphere you're going to love this tearoom. You won't feel odd if you go alone, you can find a corner if you want privacy and it's a great place for a large group. They have it all. Thank you Linde Lane, and especially Lauren, for a really special teatime. We'll definitely be back soon. Nicola

While visiting northern California from Orange County, I spent a most delightful rainy afternoon at Linde Lane Tearoom in Dixon, California. The ambiance of the tearoom is warm and inviting, with rich deep colors, beautiful, comfortable antique chairs and sofas, and touches of whimsy in the displays of teddy bears, hat collections, and the iconic teacup booth. I loved the varied seating areas for groups. There was a baby shower happening in one area, a young girl's princess birthday in another, and a 'girls' afternoon out' in yet another space. Everyone seemed to be having a grand time.I thought the tea and food were excellent. I had the Royal Tea with Ginger Peach tea. Delicious! The food was wonderful, from the scone with clotted cream and raspberry curd, to the sandwiches - egg salad and chicken pesto. (I applaud leaving the crust on. There is enough senseless waste in the world!) The small molten chocolate cake and lemon cookie were to die for!! The staff was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The owner happened to be sitting nearby and I saw her go over to the young birthday girl and give her one of the tearoom's teddy bears as a gift. That personal touch was the best part of all. I can't wait to bring my granddaughter here for her fourth birthday in August. We'll have a real tea party and she will get to be the princess! And we'll be sure to reserve the teacup booth. Thanks to Linde Lane for a lovely rainy day!

Much more substance then most tea rooms. This tea room has its own style, and I think it is for the better. Best scones ever!!!!! The hat section of the retail store was really cool. I had a wonderful first 'tea time' experience at Linde Lane. I went with my mother and we ordered the Royal Tea for two. I had white peony tea with my meal. The food was simply delish! I have never had anything that tasted as good as the scone with clotted cream and jam. The service was great and I appreciate all the attention to details. I drove 60+ miles in stormy weather to experience Tea at Linde Lane even without a reservation! I was most pleased! After being seated in the 'parlor' in a very comfy chair, a delightful lady came around presenting different tea hats and a brief history/description of each one..very fun! I chose 'gold rush' tea..fragrent, floral, delicious. The menu items were creative in flavor & presentation. Very good quality. I loved the decor and especially enjoyed seeing the various teddy bear window boxes and the 'tea-cup' table-booth. I'll look forward to going back!

My mother, daughter and I enjoyed Sunday afternoon tea service here and we had a wonderful time. The staff was welcoming, the service was friendly and efficient and we found the pace of the meal to be just right. We loved that we were able to smell all of the loose teas at their 'tea bar' before selecting from the menu and there was a great selection of herbal teas for my 6 year old. She finally settled on Chocolate Mint and just loved it, my chocolate chai selection was great as well, as was my mom's passion fruit. The tea was served in a very generously sized tea pot. We ordered the Royal Tea, the Teddy Bear Tea and the Ravioli and we all enjoyed our selections, though the Royal Tea and the Teddy Bear Tea were a bit heavy on the sweet selections, I will probably try one of the traditional lunch offerings next time. That said, I LOVED their scones with raspberry jam and clotted cream, SO good! The tea room decor is really very special. Both my Mom and I remarked that a lot of care and attention has gone into the details, from the window boxes filled with tea accessories and teddy bears, to the booth shaped like a giant tea cup, it is charming and eclectic and just feels like a special place to be. My daughter especially loved the pink and black ladies room! The gift shop that you pass through on the way to the tables has a fantastic assortment of gifts for little girls and big girls alike and is worth the trip if you are looking for a special gift for someone. All in all we had a wonderful time on our visit and are looking forward to coming back for our next special occasion. Thank you Linde Lane Tea Room!

I was so shocked when I heard a beautiful tearoom opened in Dixon! I am a resident of Dixon and I am proud to know the most beautiful tearoom I had ever seen is HERE. My Mother and I love to travel to enjoy and experience the many ways tearooms service their customers with beautiful decorations, wonderful food and special teas. I have to say, I was disappointed with the food. I feel it was just average. We ordered the 'Royal Tea' and I was surprised vegetable soup was served, the salad was just greens with a vinaigrette. The sandwiches were just ok. I felt as if, I made it at home with lunchmeat, and bread with crust. (Perhaps with the reason for not waisting the crust, you should cut it off and make croutons with it.) I miss the traditional beautiful and delicious petafores after you finish your tea with your meal that are not served here. One of my favorite tearooms is in San Francisco and is called Love Joy's. They start you off with your choice of a bottomless pot of tea, and we order the Queen's Tea. It comes with salad, coleslaw, crumpets, scones, clotted cream, lemon curd and a homemade jam, a shortbread cookie, and fresh mixed fruit. It is finished with a pedafore. My Mom mentioned she felt rushed with our server. I am going to give it another try, because I want them to be a success. I hope you take some of my suggestions to heart. Your tearoom is so beautiful! <3

Being a man, I wasn't sure how welcome I would be in a tea room. Needless to say, I loved it. I had the shepherds pie, which was hearty and rich. Filled me up. My wife had a pastry filled with creme brûlée which tasted so rich and divine, I stole it from her plate. She didn't mind, she just wanted me at a tea room. The decorations seemed to be intended for the females of the bunch, but I found myself really enjoying them. The colors were bold and the holiday decorations were amazing to say the least. I really felt like I was at my grandmothers house. Lastly, I had to visit the little boys room. What a surprise! A men's library in the bathroom! I couldn't stop laughing and had to drag my wife in there for a peak. Great job on this tea room. Perhaps now my fear of tea rooms is cured!

A little too pricy for store bought foods served without much flair and crusts should never be left on tea sandwiches. Never. A little too over the top on trying to be whimsical with their decorations also.

      Tearoom response:

We do leave our crusts on to conserve waste. We are more then happy to remove it for you if you ask. However, we will not change our policy on this due to the amount of waste and our countries economic status. I'm not sure how to respond to the comment about store bought food. We have a 1500 sq. Foot kitchen where all the food, and some of the breads are prepared.

The Linde Lane tea shop is one of the best I have ever been into. I especially loved the Christmas decorations and the Teddy bear tree. The tea selection was huge, but my favorite was the Ginger peach tea. After finishing my delectable tea I milled around the cute shop at the front of the tearoom and saw the Ashley teacup which was extremely cute and bought a whole case of them. I am hoping that Linde Lane will be a huge sucess and will be around for a long time. The day my friend and I went was a rainy Sunday, and I was surprised that we were one of only three tables being served. Our experience was very positive though. We had the Royal Tea which includes everything. The tea selection was large, the food was very tasty and the presentation was nice. I have never eaten a better scone in any other tea room, except maybe in England. I was surprised to see crusts on the sandwiches, but they were delicious anyway. I thought the tables could use a votive candle since the inside is rather dark and it would have added a nice little glow to our surroundings. Our small salads were a bit wilted, but, all in all it was a lovely experience and I hope I will always have this tea room nearby to share with friends.

      Tearoom response:

We,too, hope to be here for a long time! I would like to comment about the crusts on the bread. We do know the traditional tea sandwich is crustless. We believe the crust should stay on to conserve waste. The owner supports many organizations, including shelters for the homeless, and can't bring herself to support the wastefullness of food. If, however, you would like the crusts removed, please inform your server next time, and we would be more then happy to accomodate you.

Our Red Hat ladies met for our Christmas luncheon and gift exchange. What an elegant, special venue. We were treated royally and loved the whole experience. Cannot wait to go back. The Whimsical room was 'purplelicious' and beautifully decorated for Christmas. A truly delightful experience.

Went to the hat fashion show. I was so surprised at all the sophisticated hats. So beautiful. The models were gorgeous and explained all their hats and jewelry they wore. The pot pies were to die for. The scone had white chocolate and melted in my mouth. We had buttered rum tea which tasted like dessert. There was a warm pear salad that was so delightful for a col afternoon. The whole event was top notch and can't wait to enjoy further visits.

We had the pleasure of having tea at Linde Lane on Saturday, November 20th, and it was wonderful. The tearoom is beautiful! There were 13 of us and we were just amazed that it use to be an old firehouse. They offer an excellent selection of teas and the sorbet with shortbread is such a special touch. The staff was friendly and gave excellent service. It was really busy that day, but the time was taken to tell us the history of the firehouse and planning of the tearoom. One of our Tea sisters purchased a beautiful hat. Not only do they have unusual and lovely hats for sale, but a variety of wonderful items to purchase and enjoy. We will definitely visit this tearoom again.

      Tearoom response:

Tea Sisters Society, we are blessed to have such wonderful customers as you. We look forward to visiting with you in the future!

This is my 15th trip to this wonderful Tea Room, I am frequently at meetings in Dixon or working lunches and Linde Lane Tearoom is always my #1 choice. But on this particular day we had the distinct pleasure of meeting the owner Kristina, what an awesome lady. She took us on a tour of her Dental Office upstairs and I must say the decor is an extension of downstairs. I have always been fascinated with this tearoom because I spent 20 years in he United States Air Force and 'high tea' was a tradition in England also I have been to various tearooms in the bay area and none compare to this. I just had to ask Kristina 'where did you get the idea for this facility' and very patiently she explained it was a 6 year dream of hers. The story was so beautiful, I think Kristina should include the story in the menu. I love watching people come in and the expressions on their faces. She has a shoe in her office upstairs and I will be duplicating that concept for our Banks 100th Year Christmas Dinner/Dance - Thank You Again Kristina for the wonderful tour and your loving personality. I missed Michelle that day, but Lourdis and Jeanette where there, wonderful ladies.

Had a wonderful time at Linde Lane recently. The scones were DELICIOUS; as good as I've had since stopping in Edinburgh, Scotland only a few short years ago. I made reservations for afternoon tea for a friend and I today. She arrived about 15 minutes before I did. She said she walked in and waited for a while in the foyer but was not greeted by anyone. She then went to a seating area and waited a little longer. She had just been sat at our table when I walked in. The server, Lourdes, was very nice and took our order for two Duchess Teas with soup. My friend ordered a pot of Genmaicha and I had the Orange Blossom Oolong, both of which were served undecanted. Our afternoon tea began with orange sorbet and shortbread, which was quite good. We then enjoyed a flaky cream scone with a mock Devonshire and a spiced blueberry jam, Very nice. Then our server came back to say there was not enough soup for two, so I ordered a salad instead. Both the soup and salad were good. I didn't care for the orange blossom oolong tea, so I ordered a pot of sencha and asked for it to be decanted. The pot arrived with the bag of tea still in it, so I took it out myself. Lourdes saw it sitting on my plate and apologized. The sencha was very good. Our tiered tea service included two tea sandwiches, one a turkey cranberry and the other cucumber with cream on a small split muffin. They were both good. There were 3 thin slices of apple and grapes, as well. Too much lemon on the apple. The cookies were about the same, but one had a key lime cream on top and the other was a nice lemon glaze. They were good, but too similar. Overall, the food was good and quite sufficient. Then came our bill. Very reasonable for a nice afternoon tea, but unfortunately we waiting for 20 minutes and our server seemed to have disappeared. Finally, a woman who was busing noticed we were waiting, as well as a table of young women who had been sitting for a while and had not even ordered. She went to get help. We eventually paid our bill and spent some time browsing the gift area, which is very nice. Overall, the food was good, the tea was good, our server was very pleasant. Though it is nice to enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea and not be rushed, the wait time to be seated and then to pay our bill was not good. I think the service needs to be improved, but I will go back. It is a lovely tea room, beautifully decorated and comfortable. They have only been open three months, so I believe they can get the service issue in hand. I like the fact that they donate a percentage of their tea proceeds to Safequest Solano, a non-profit organization for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault victims.

OMG! Just had lunch with two of my friends, this is an experiance that I will never forget - it was wonderfull. When I walked in the ambiance and decorating made me feel like I was being decadent just knowing that I was going to spend a couple of hours there having a good time and great lunch. My friends directed me to the tea table where you can see and smell the loose leaf teas that are offered to you. It was alot of fun to pick our own tea. We each chose something different and then shared with each other. Kudos to the chef for having a very inventive pallet. The sandwiches this week were raisin bread apple and turkey cranberry. Both of these were above and beyond what I expected. I will definatley return and bring new friends with me to share this experiance.

Linde Lane is a wonderful experience for young and old alike! On my recent visit I enjoyed the Royal Tea, which this day featured clam chowder. The chowder was delicious and the potatoes were like little dumplings that just melted away in your mouth! The tea room was very busy this day, but the wait staff and management kept everything flowing along and still took the time to visit with each table to be sure everyone was having the best possible experience. I was lucky enough to visit while the exquisite tea room was decorated for Halloween and it was delightful! It was also fun to look around and see the wide variety of people enjoying tea...from the Red Hat Ladies, in their fancy attire, to the local business women on their lunch break, to a Mom with her little children in tow... Linde Lane Tea Room is a lovely experience all around. I would highly recommend a visit, and for people traveling through to Reno or beyond, it's a wonderful way to break up the trip. I'll definately be coming back! Can't wait to see the tea room decorated for the holiday season and to enjoy the additional fall menu selections!

      Tearoom response:

Paula! Thank you for your wonderful review, we just love our Halloween theming throughout the tearoom, just enough to get into the spirit, but not over the top. The appointments are exquisite. Christina has been meticulous in her decorating. Everything from the tea sets to the paper towel holders in the restrooms has been selected with great care. She has an impressive selection of teas, many herbal varieties included. The one I chose was cinnamon apricot. It was lovely. My 2 girlfriends were equally as complimentary of their choices. The entire lunch was flawless. What fun to browse the many hats, jewelry pieces and other treasures available for purchase. We shall be returning for more delightful tea parties in the near future. Thank you Christina for your dedication and vision in creating this wonderful experience. FYI, the Linde Lane Tea Room is located in the old Dixon Firehouse. The entire bldg. has been totally redone, inside and out. The tea room occupies the entire ground floor. The second floor is occupied by the owner's dental practice,( also very beautifully appointed), a law office, and a salon.

      Tearoom response:

We certainly take pride in our attention to detail as we strived to keep the tearoom as true to the Victorian period as we could without overdoing it. When our customers comment their appreciation we are happy knowing that we did our job well.

My 7 year-old son, Scotlan, my Mom and I had tea today at Linde Lane Tea Room. We loved it! Scotlan, with his debonaire hat and nice clothes was a hit among the ladies there, as well as the customers. One of the owners was even having her own tea party and bought some whip cream for her daughter, but shared it with Scotlan. He ordered the Chocolate Chia tea, and she made it special for him with whip cream. He said he loved it and wants to go back to sit at the tea cup table. The food was delicious and the tea was divine. The ambiance was exquisitely done. I love the attention to detail in the shadow boxes. I love that it's spacious enough where you can walk around and not feel like you're going to knock something over. I love that they pay homage to the old firehouse building, by labling the tea pots with mini fire hydrants. Not only does it help you to remember your tea flavor, it helps remember all the men and women who worked to save lives and buildings in Dixon. If you don't ask, you wouldn't know the history, and it might not make sense. But, if you are aware of the surroundings, and ask a few questions, you understand. Maybe Raychelle in Vacaville ought to try taking in a little history lesson. Or stay in Benicia. Who needs you here anyway! Thank you, Linde Lane! You made a nice day into a terrific memory for all of us. We will return as soon as we can!

      Tearoom response:

My friend and I visited Linde Lane on Sunday for my birthday. We travel to all the tea rooms in the state. We drove 75 miles each way. Linde Lane is one the most beautiful tea rooms I have seen. The attention to detail is wonderful. The food was outstanding. The soup, salad, and scones were yummy. The sandwiches were good however would have liked more protein. The dessert were very good. For a tearoom that has been open only a month, they are on their way to being great! The management was very open to ideas on improving. We will be back for the October event.

I visited linde lane tea room on thrusday afternoon and I drove from San Francisco and let me tell you it was the best experience I ever had. I am from Manchester ( England) and let me tell you that you cannnot compare linde lane with one of the rea rooms we have over there because it is one hundred percet better, and I was amazed with their friendly service and all the attentions that they gave me and my family; the server was on top of everything even if we did not ask for things she was super, and my mother in law was happy of the service because she is diabetic and they made some arrengaments for her they made special scones for her and the waitress explained everything to her and all the things that contain sugar on it; and she helped her to order the right thing for her. also the owner I hear she is a dentist and she was taking really good care of us too, giving us differents to try without a cost, so let me tell you that it hard to find a place like this and nobody is gonna give you anything for free. And I read a review of a lady of Vacaville I hope you know the difference of the Devonshire Cream and Cream cheese in London we call it Devonshire Cream because that is the town that produces this kind of cream that it is the reason why we call it like that. I am so glad to say that I am a big fan of Linde Lane Tea room and I congratulate them for all the effort they put on everything.

      Tearoom response:

Geraldine we've had so many customers come into our tearoom and witness their look of surprise. Everyone comments that our tearoom should be in San Francisco, but we're happy to be here in Dixon and offer a unique tea experience to the community. I have gone to tea since I was a little girl. I have never been to such a beautiful place as this tea room. We sat in a room surrounded by Teddy Bears, making my friends and I feel like little girls again. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We mentioned to the server that we would love to try an herb scone, and before you knew it, she had brought me one to taste. Hmmmmmmm. So good. And they didn't even charge us. I felt like I was on a vacation. My every whim was catered to. The food was incredible. Best scones ever. The sandwiches were so good. I spent the last few hours trying to figure out an excuse to go back.

I have been to the Linde Lane Tearoom with my wife on two occasions, and the many positive comments I have read regarding Linde Lane are 'spot on!' The elegance, decor, quality of food, and service certainly warrant a five-star rating. Unfortunately, one brutally irresponsible and caustic rant by one who had virtually nothing good to say about Linde Lane is so far from the truth that one wonders if she has some personal axe to grind. In tortured vitriol she proceeded to paint Linde Lane in a most unjustifiable negative light. Linde Lane is the end result of an extensive renovation of the old Dixon firehouse. In honor of the firehouse's history, Linde Lane has included as part of its decor miscellaneous items related to the building's historic place in Dixon's history. If you are a connoisseur of tearoom dining, I believe I can say without fear of contradiction you will find Linde Lane and undeniably rewarding experience.

It's unfortunate that ANYONE would rate this tea room below 5 stars. Any negative feedback is absolutely absurd. This tearoom is AMAZING and tops every other tearoom around here. So why waste gas driving 30-40 miles to the Camellia Tea Room in Benicia? The venue is the perfect size, allowing room for special gatherings such as birthday celebrations, baby/bridal showers, etc. If you prefer a more intimate atmosphere, they have tables for two and a LOVELY, gorgeous tea cup booth. The tasteful victorian style brings you into a whole other world. The interior design is phenomenal! Our server is always very friendly and knows her work well. Then there's the tea selection! There are so many different choices. I love the fact that they have a cute fire hydrant tag on each tea pot that labels your tea, that way you don't mix your tea pot with another person's at the same table. I was impressed with how the tea room honored the history of their building by using fire hydrant tags, as it used to be a fire house. Now onto the food. It's delicious! Your course starts off with the best sorbet I have ever had. The scones are baked fresh and served with clotted cream and jelly. Their sandwiches are very filling and flavorful. From the main course to the sweets, everything is top notch. Their presentation of the food really tops it off. Needless to say, dining at Linde Lane is worth EVERY PENNY! So again, why waste time and money driving far to another tea room that doesn't measure up to a delightful Linde Lane experience? If you choose never to return (or go to) Linde Lane, that's your loss! It's nice to see people of all ages and income brackets welcome to enjoy Linde Lane tea room!

Based on all of the reviews I read prior to visiting this tea room...I was excited. What I found however, was lackluster and extremely disappointing. I have been going to formal afternoon tea as long as I can remember with my mother and grandmothers...and I guess my standards must be different from everyone else's. To start...the venue is too large. A tea experience should be intimate and delicate...not over decorated, tacky and merchandized. There was an attempt at a victorian style...but the giant Disneyland tea cup made into a booth ruins that right away. Not to mention the complete lack of taste in most of the attempt at interior design. Our server was friendly, but not very familiar with the menu and we had to ask for the soup course, which came with the 'Royal' tea. The tea selection was average and when we received our tea it was not loose, but in pre-made bags. The tea pots were adorned with ughly fire hydrant shaped dog tags on chains that listed what flavor of tea was in the pot. The first course was 'sorbet', which was essentially store bought rainbow sherbet and a shortbread cookie. Next we were served cold, plain scones with NO DEVOSHIRE/CLOTTED CREAM but instead a sweetened type of cream cheese (similar to cheesecake filling) and a 1/4 tsp of jelly. Scones are served with clotted cream....no exceptions! I was appauled to find cream cheese. The sandwiches were horrible. The worst I've ever had. They had limited selection, and the bread was poor quality, dry and still had the crust on it. There was a traditional cream cheese and cucumber but it was on a dry mini muffin and the cucumber was sliced much too thickly and there was NO FLAVOR or herbs. One 'open-faced' sandwich had a slice of turkey sandwich meat (yes, like a cold cut) and a slice of swiss cheese that our served described as parmesean. There was a cheddar and olive combo that was nothing more than grated cheese mised with chunks of green olives and mayo. The sweets were nothing special...some store bought biscotti and a 'key lime tar' that was lime flavored cream cheese fillling (yes more cream cheese) piped onto a store bought shortbread cookie. The fresh fruit on the top tier was a few grapes, blackberries and pieces of kiwi. The presentation was so poor...no doilies or mint leaves and the grapes werent even left on the vine for serving. The soup was 'tomato bisque' which tasted like it was from a can and could have very weel been watered down pasta sauce. But if you decide to visit this disaster of a tea experience...you can pay a low price of $24 for one Royal Tea. For similar prices I would travel the extra 30-40 miles to Benicia and visit the Camellia Tea Room. ALthough small, that place knows what afternoon tea is all about. Their food and tea is amazing! I will NEVER return to Lind Lane. The atmosphere seemed to cater to geriatric, tacky old women who think it's acceptable to wear a velour sweatsuit with a goofy Kentucky Derby style hat and sit in a giant tea cup.

I went their with my daughter to try it out right when they opened. The server offered us a great selection of teas. I felt I went to try something different, so I ordered the pineapple mango green tea, and a piece of key lime pie. The tea was AWESOME!! The pie was one of the best I ever had; the crust was thick and yummy. We also enjoyed the elegance and decor of the place. We especially admired the one of a kind teacup booth. My daughter wants to come back and sit there. The staff was very friendly; really great service. Highly recommended.

My wife drags me to tea houses all the time for me to 'enjoy'. I have to say Visting Linde Lane Tearoom was The Best one I have ever gone to...by Far! The food was great, the tea was great - and the atmosphere really made it worth the drive to get there. This tea room, I will go back to when my wife asks me - without a doubt!

I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience. The tea was delicious, the key lime tart the best I've ever had. I would recommend this tea house to anyone looking for a place to dine. The staff was friendly, and always there for your smallest needs. I will be back again soon.
