A visit to Patisserie Angelica is a quick trip to Paris! Parisian trained pastry chef Condra Easley with her sister Deborah Morris have created a magical environment for your tea experience. Their "West County High Tea" takes their artisan approach to baking and it shines though in their savories, scones, sandwiches and sweets. All of the accoutrement served are house made, from the raspberry preserves, organic Meyer lmeon curd to the Devonshire cream. Condra worked in a tea room in Paris and was introduced to the extraordinary Mariage Frere teas 25 years ago! Mariage Frere teas are a perfect match for their pastries. Tea is served Friday,Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 4 but private parties of 10 or more can be accomodated on other days. Enjoy this perfect time to relax with friends. Serving Magical Christmas Tea. Everything was divine! The choice of French teas was delightful. Every little morsel of food was scrumptious. The cream scones were blissful (thank you, Emma!!), the little tea sandwiches yummy and the desserts I had to save for later. The accompanying jam, lemon curd and cream were just right, too!! The atmosphere was busy as they were having their holiday tasting but everyone was so friendly and we had a few tastes before we sat down for tea. Looking forward to a return visit!!

The most woderful tea experience ever. The scones were so light and yummy. Absolutely amazing, with the home made lemon curd, jam, and cream to top them off. Sandwiches melted in your mouth, and oh boy those little bites of dessert! This tea house is rated #1 in my book. Go as soon as you can. What a memorable experience, and the owners make you feel like you are visiting in their home. So warm and welcoming! Can't wait to go back.

I am picky about high tea, having had some fine ones over the years. This was an exceptional tea experience. They serve Mariage Freres tea, which is excellent, although they were out of a couple of blends when we visited. The tea room is cozy, and the variety of lovely china cups is a nice touch. The sandwiches and savory bites are delicious, but the desserts are outstanding. Plus the bakery counter is right there, so you can buy something sweet to take home. This is a great place to go with friends, to sit and nibble and chat, and the high tea is a terrific way to mark a special occasion.
