The Willow Tea Room
The quintessential tea room experience for those who admire the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Being in this space is a very different experience than seeing isolated pieces of his work in a museum. We had a wonderful time, and we truly appreciated the use of traditional elements with a nod to contemporary expectations reflected in the menu and the service. Several nice teas were available, including proprietary blends, and the traditional tea tower of sandwiches, scones and sweets was beautiful and tasty.

Patisserie Angelica
I am picky about high tea, having had some fine ones over the years. This was an exceptional tea experience. They serve Mariage Freres tea, which is excellent, although they were out of a couple of blends when we visited. The tea room is cozy, and the variety of lovely china cups is a nice touch. The sandwiches and savory bites are delicious, but the desserts are outstanding. Plus the bakery counter is right there, so you can buy something sweet to take home. This is a great place to go with friends, to sit and nibble and chat, and the high tea is a terrific way to mark a special occasion.
