What a truly delightful tea our group enjoyed at Central Perc! Positively recommend....and remember to ask about the “secret ingredient” used in the tea sandwiches 🥪.....along with the “mature, white cheddar!” The teapots are refilled, and the tea choices are plentiful and delicious. We will definitely return.

I've had the afternoon tea twice and the food is really good. And you get way more food than Remember When Tearoom. ! 2nd time I went the place was packed so the desserts we received weren't as elaborate as my first visit there but still good. Love the scones!

English owners who know what afternoon teas are.The only correct menu I have seen in this area.Everything is home made and delicious.Proper tea in a teapot.A full menu of other delights are also available.Desserts change daily according to the bakers whim all fabulous.A great experience that never disappoints your taste buds. I should know I am English and this food cannot be faulted.

This is the most authentic British afternoon tea experience around. The food is the best that I have had at any tea! We went on Saturday and it was an amazing experience!

Nice British folks, great fresh scones with all the trimmings. Afternoon high tea is good!

Sort of traditional place, where you can enjoy tea and friends. Also home made salads, sandwiches, desserts. Tea by the cup or pot with sugar lumps and cream.

The casual atmosphere at Central Perc is ideal for passing an enjoyable afternoon without having to fret over formalities. The tea and sandwiches served at high tea are delicious, and the scones are some of the best I've ever had in the US.

Sort of wonder about Donna's review. I have been to British Tea Rooms in London and Westminster and Bath.

Central Perc is right on the mark. Now you can go to more expensive and Elegant tea rooms, but not get much better. Good family type atmosphere. We have been there about 8 times, brought guests 3 times [who loved it] and will continue to go.

Go and make up your own mind though.

Two visits and both times the service was horrible and the food lackluster. Certainly not what you would expect from a 'tea room'. Decor doesn't come close to a providing a calming or elegant atmosphere to make up for the hurriend initial service and then non-existant follow-up service (unless you like serving yourself refills). Skip it and go elsewhere.

We've been going to Central Perc for a couple of years now. Every time has been just wonderful. The owners and staff treat us as if we are old and dear friends. The food is the best and I've yet to have a tea I didn't like. They really make you feel at home here. Even though it's over an hour to get to, my husband I try to make it at least 1 every couple of months. It's worth the travel time.

We plan to give this tea room another chance. We were there when it was very busy during lunch. The cheese and onion sandwich (their specialty) was very good. We also tried their salad sampler, soups, cheese tray, tuna sandwich and scones. One of the teas we had was simple bagged tea, the other a loose leaf. We didn't feel the owners were very friendly, but they were very busy filling orders. Our server was very nice. They seemed to have a lot of regular customers and next time, we will know what to expect. They also offer an afternoon tea with reservations we would like to try.

I have afternoon tea there about 6 times per year. I love to introduce novices to the 'afternoon tea'. Even the teenagers I've brought -love it. I seek out tea rooms all over the US and Europe. This one is not fancy like the Ritz-Carlton Hotel but its more 'typically British'.The scones are authentic -not at all like the 'triangles' that Pantera and Dorthy Lane Market pass off as scones.

I can't disagree more with the earlier review... you must go to the counter to place your order, and then they bring it to you. If you seated yourself and waited for service, it's no surprise it took a while before anyone noticed. The tea and food is excellent and the hosts are very amiable.

My husband and I have been going to Central Perc for over 10 years, and even though it's a bit of a drive for us we still go at least 5 times a year (more if we can!). Mike and Rose are terrific hosts and the High Tea they serve is scrumptious. The pasteries are delightful! I highly recommend Central Perc.

I took my granddaughter for tea as it has become a tradition of ours, and we were very disappointed. Service was horrible. We were totally ignored for at least 20 minutes before anyone came to our table, and then another 30 minutes passed before our tea and food came. We will not go again.

A great place for a REAL English High Tea! You will not leave hungry or dissatisfied. It is a casual and cozy environment. Service and food and tea all excellent so it always has a full house.

Best scones outside England - by a pastry chef from Liverpool! The afternoon tea is delicious, generous and a bargain.

      Great spot - easy parking.

House blend of leaf tea plus many others - top brands. decaf and herbal too. Also excellent coffees.

Homemade soups and salads as well.

This is a nice place to stop for afternoon tea. Tea is only served after 2:00pm-a little late for lunch for us midwesterners, but authentic. The owners are from the U.K. and the offering for afternoon tea is very generous. Great finger sandwiches, excellent pastries with fresh fruit and perfect scones with heaps of strawberry preserves and whipped cream. They will even prepare an afternoon tea for take away if you call in advance. Unfortunately, they are usually terribly busy at teatime and the service can occasionally be spotty.

All in all, however a real treat.
