Golden Tea Garden
The Golden Tea Garden is a gem in Downtown Hayward! The ambiance is so wonderfully relaxing and beautiful. The moment you step through the doorway of this teahouse, you are enveloped by this soothing, whimsical indoor garden-- complete with a huge, lovely garden mural, 'grass' under your feet, a stunning running fountain in the dining area, and white wrought-iron garden furniture (some chairs are even shaped like butterflies). Each table has a beautiful lace tablecloth or runner and fresh flowers and there is beautiful instrumental music playing. This is definitely a place to slow down, relax, think, read ( if you are by yourself) or enjoy the company of others if you want a special place to be with family and/or friends. The finger sandwiches are excellent and the desserts, such as the Red Velvet Cake, are spectacular! You also will be amazed and delighted by the impressive array of teas to choose from (from whole leaf to tea bag, from holistic to fanciful to practical)! You should definitely make a reservation before going because this Teahouse can be very full and is already very popular! The proprietor and her staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Enjoy!
