The last 2 visits that I made were very disappointing. I was coming home with 2 friends from Virginia and decided to stop for tea. When we arrived we met the very nice Reverend who kindly sat us down at a table. Debbie, the owner, came out from the kitchen and told us in no uncertain terms that she would not be able to serve us because she had a small party of women, about 6 of them. I explained that we were just there for tea and scones. She proceeded to remind us again of how unwelcome we were at the time but permitted us to stay. My mother and I recently stopped by for an afternoon tea around 3:10 only to be told by the owner Debbie that she closed at 4:00 and that she could only provide tea if we wanted. I just think that if you are going to stop serving people at 3:00 then you need to adjust your hours. Again she made us feel so very unwelcome and I do not ever plan to patronize her business again. I also will inform my friends and family that it is not a place that they would want to stop for tea.

    Tearoom response:

I apologize for you feeling that were treated in such an unwelcomed way, and I hope that you will come back again and allow me to make things right. It was my fault in not explaning that we only take reservations. Having tea is about taking more than just a few minutes to stop for something at a cafe, it is about sharing an hour or two with a friend or family member. I always want to provide a pleasant experience for all my customers and by having a reservation I can provide a time just for you (two hours or more if you wish) with everything you desire. With a reservations we serve all of our Tea Services up to 4:00. _Tea and Scones are available until 3:00. I am truly sorry for the inconvience this may have caused you. My sincere apology-Debbie
