Steeped In Comfort
We had a lovely afternoon tea and sat by the fireplace for warmth. Steeped in Comfort lives up to its name by brewing a perfect pot of tea. They even add a tea cozy to keep your tea at the right temp. They started us off with a home-made fruit tart which had a flakey crust and soft custard topped with ripe strawberrys. The afternoon tea came with a bacon and cheese quiche which was baked to perfection. There were four types of finger sandwiches which was more than enough to fill a hungry tummy. Normally, I never eat the sweets because they are boring and overly sweet. However, this time I wanted to finish all the sweets-pecan pie, sugar cookie, chocolate cake and pumpkin bread. The best part was the scone. The scones were described as 'melt in your mouth' It was a perfect description for those heavenly scones. I highly suggest this tea house. If you want a place for relaxing and enjoying a perfectly brewed pot of tea and delicious scones then try Steppped in Comfort. I have tried several tea houses- including Fairmont high tea- and this is my top pick for tea in the Seattle/Tacoma area:)
