Dori's Tea Cottage
Our mom Connie brought us in to her favorite little tea room, and to enjoy what we would call the best scones we've ever tasted! They are made so differently from the many scones I've tasted in many tea rooms in Calif. They were softer/chewier almost like a thick, fresh baked cookie, and the Apple-Cinnamon ones they were serving that day were sooo yummy! So good, that on the way out of town the next day, we had to stop by and get a bunch to-go for the drive home, along w/ a a couple teas from their to-go hot and iced tea selection. We like the Black Currant black flavored tea. They have many teas to choose from, and we just wanted a snack before dinner..so we had the 'Maiden Marilyn Cottage Tea' which came w/ two scones, small pot of tea, tea biscuits and lemon curd. I enjoyed the classic chai tea w/ mine. It hit the spot. Atmosphere is very quaint w/ a small shop for tea paraphanalia. I recommend everyone stopping here for bite, tea, or scones on the way to Yosemite! Though a small tea room, the 4 of us were able to get seated toward the late afternoon w/o a reservation.
