What a wonderful 'Tea and Friendship' experience I had with my girlfriend/neighbor at Belladonna Tea House! The Victorian atmosphere is elegant & girlie feeling. We wore our own hats and knew that if we saw one in Donna's collection (the lighted display under the stairway) we could have worn a vintage hat. Most enjoyable was the agony and the ecstasy of selecting THE tea to drink from her 5 page menu! As much detail as Donna gives to the wide variety of tea selection, she also serves a delectable 'Tea Lunch' (Saturdays only lunch is served, not just the scones). The scones are freshly baked (a choice of 2-3 flavors) and served hot at the table, then the luncheon plate of salad greens with pecans & cranberries, surrounded by Tea sandwiches and a couple gourmet tasting open-faced petite sandwiches: one cool cream-cheese & cucumber, & the other a mini-toast with warm tapenade. We finished with a small plate of bites representing an international selection of sweets (like Baklava), all delectable! My friend and I heartily recommend that if you and your friends like touring all the tea houses in your geographic vicinity up to 100 miles... then THIS place is worth the trip. Donna is a warm and amiable hostess, and our server Ann was attentive and sweet. I'll go again and again!
It was such a delight to see you and your friend enjoying your time together over tea. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and praise. Hope to see you again soon, Donna
