My Dad, step mom and I had a wonderful relaxing afternoon tea today at Kate's! I had not been in a couple of years....what was I thinking????? This is the BEST tearoom in the area! Also, this was the first time I ever had tea with my Dad who is 80 years old. :) Such a special afternoon! Food: The scone was warm and flavorful--just delightful. We all had the Chicken Salad sandwich which is yummy yummy yummy! The 'house bread' is DELISH!!!! The tea choices as always are amazing....I had apricot decaf and Mom and Dad had Raspberry--hot, wonderfully brewed--perfect. For dessert--bread pudding...again--a winner! GIFT SHOP: And I have not even raved on and on about the gift shop which has so many delightful tea items. Plus you can buy any tea that is on the menu and take it home with you. :) SERVICE: Amazing hospitality! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. You really do feel so pampered, not rushed and like you are having tea at a good friends house. Do yourself a favor...and come up to Columbia Kate's! You will not be disappointed.
