Lady Mendl's
Lady Mendl's was a great disappointment. The ambience is fabulous; the old home is gracious and welcoming. The food was lacking. The first course consisted of greens heavily coated in vinegar. The sandwiches proferred were uninspired; most tea houses provide a variety of little morsels, Lady M's offered only a couple of large sandwiches - the sandwiches looked like large school-lunch bag sanwiches, cut in half with the crusts trimmed off. Would not recommend...there are so many better tea rooms out there!
