Lovely tearoom. Warm service. My husband and I both had Posh High Tea ($24/person). It included a pot of tea, 2 blueberry scones, 4 kinds of tea sandwiches (egg salad, tuna salad, cucumber, and turkey & strawberry cream cheese with sliced almonds). It was supposed to come with mini fruit tarts, but they ran out of them when we were there. Instead, they gave us two choices of their desserts. We picked tiramisu and carrot cake, which were both huge slices! The blueberry scones were excellent. The cucumber and turkey sandwiches were very good. I wish they offered smoke salmon sandwiches also. Their teas were more dessert teas. Would like to see them offer more regular teas. Overall, a very charming place.

My husband surprised me with an afternoon tea luncheon at your lovely garden tea room. What a delight and relaxing time. I am looking forward to our next visit when we are in town.

My husband & I own a timeshare in a rearby San Clemente resort... and... A stay there is never complete without at least one lunch and/or 'Afternoon Tea' at the Posh Peasant... The food is creatively yummy... and... The service is attentive & friendly...

I have nothing but good things to say about this tearoom. I went with my two sisters-in-law, husband and niece. The food was beautifully presented, delicious, and plentifull. Two of the five have never been to a tearoom before and I am glad they went to the Posh Peasant. The service was good and Kim the owner was friendly. Thanks Kim and staff for a wonderful time.

This was the MOST OUTSTANDING place. Decorated perfectly from the front to the back. We were even commenting on how cute the Powder Room was. Those cute paintings and saying all over and lavender and fun pictures in each table. They have private rooms, perfect for a mother-daughter tea or open up for a large party of 15 like we had last Saturday. We spent about 3 hours there and the time just flew by. This was a wedding shower for a very dear friend. Every need for our large party was tended to. The Posh Peasant was just a delightful atmosphere for our event. The service was impeccable -- Nothing was overlooked. I'm so picky about good service and I NEVER had to ask for a thing -- it was always there waiting for me. My tea was never empty and we were served each course at exactly the right amount of time intervals. Our plates were even picked up in a timely manner as soon as we were through -- EXCELLENT SERVICE! This was my first visit and the presentation of the food, the servers, the ambiance all the way down to the dessert was just fabulous. We had so much fun and I would HIGHLY recommend this quaint little sleeper that I never knew was there to anyone who wants to just have fun and relax. I must have passed it 100 times on my way to the Pier. Can't thank our servers enough for making our day so memorable!!!!

I cannot attest to anything but the dreadful and blatant unprofessional customer service of this establishment. As a hostess of a bridal shower, we scheduled well in advance to use this venue. At first Kim was friendly and accomodating to us and we were excited to use her tearoom. However, 2 weeks before the event, after all of the invitations were mailed and everything was set into place, Kim cancelled on us unprofessionally and rudely, leaving us scrambling to find a new place. It turned out she had a larger party she wanted to serve instead of our 'small' bridal party of 15, even though we had an arrangement with her already in place. That is just not done, and by no means ethical or professional.

I emphatically do not recommend you do business with this tearoom under Kim's management.

We made memories! It was an awesome afternoon tea/lunch experience. Kim Bennett, owner since December 2008, chef and server, treated us like royalty in the charming, intimate Garden Room. Each table was adorned with a vase of fresh flowers and each course of 'High Tea' was delicious, very fresh, creatively served and beautifully presented on lovely china with rose petals and berries. Even our small, warm, freshly baked melt-in-your-mouth scone was the center of a 'rose' on our plate. I recommend any of the lucisous desserts and the fruity vodoo tea. My ten-year-old granddaughter and her friend chose to wear house tierras instead of hats, liked the cream brulee tea with cream and special honey and raspberry lemonade. It was a perfect place to celebrate! Thank you Kim!

Fun and whimsical place with excellent, helpful service. The food was good and there was enough that you didn't leave hungry. Large choice of teas, especially caffeine free and decaf which I often have a hard time finding. Loved the whole experience.

You must try this place it is wonderful. They gave us bruschetta right after we were seated (delicious). The blueberry scone was fresh and soft. I agree when you first get your plate it may seem small but I left full (I had the Tea Sampler). Kim is SUPER and has a very warm personality. I love the decor its very cozy and I'm sorry but I don't agree with Eve the flowers give the place the authentic feel it has. I will be back for more! P.S. Try the Tomato Bruschetta Soup. =)

The tea sandwiches were tasty but miniscule, as was the lemon tart... about 2 inches across. This would have been a more pleasing tea experience if the portions were a little bit bigger. The cheese, crackers and grapes were a nice touch. Fresh roses on the tables, very nice. The tea (Buckingham Palace) was great. I had not tried that tea before.

Service was very good. (Hint to owner: suggest paring down on the artificial flowers in the tea room.)

Food was excellent we had panini sandwiches which were outstanding the salads had an amazing touch of flavor the only downfall of our experience was the service our waitress which will remain anonymous however she had shorter blonde hair and glasses was rude and disrespectful and due to these circumstance we would recommend the posh for the food and tea but NOT for there service and we will be sure to spread the word

I patronized this establishment in mid afternoon on 9/13 and again on 9/16, going back due to the superior blueberry scone and escellent glass of iced tea with a splash of pomegranate which I ordered both times. The hostess, Rebecca, was warm and friendly. This indulgence may become a regular occurrence due to the feeling of peace and serenity I get when I am there.

My daughter and I have been at The Posh Peasant many times. The atmosphere is charming. The food is always good. They will make you a fan of tuna sandwiches. Last time we went, their lavender lemonade wasn't offered to my daughter's disappointment. Almost always a good experience although sometimes I feel they could be more attentive.

This place is absolutely darling, the service is great and the food delicious. We had a few people order regular lunches and a few orderthe traditional tea. The regular food was fantastic and the scones and clotted cream were the best I have had in the US. A definite stop for a nice afternoon, truly a wonderful experience.

The Posh Peasant is the cutest tearoom I have ever been to! I had a wondeful time having tea with my dad and step-mom! It was perfectly delightful! Awesome 'Strawberry fields' salad and pear pound cake! They had an extensive selection of tea and menu items. The decor is the cutest, quaintest I have ever seen. I would love to come back to this establishment! Had a wonderful time in our own private little room with a mural, hats, old fashioned screen door, roses, vines! Great server, great food. The only thing I would have changed is the strawberry preserves and creme fraiche for lemon curd and devonshire cream with my scone.

I feel compelled to defend this tea house to the 'shower guest' reviewer who attacked it. I myself have organised a party to be held at this tea house. What this reviewer doesnt realise is that the host of the party selects the sandwiches, choice and number of teas(the sandwhiche choice was over 12!). The desserts are also the hostess choice and I was given a prefernce for my music. My group was younger ladies and I was asked if they would prefer jazz or something more 'pop' for them to enjoy. How stange to leave a bad review when you were a guest and not even paying for the experience you didnt enjoy. I enjoyed the Posh Peasant and will be back.

Friends took me for my B-Day and it was wonderful and memorable. I have been to several of the teahouses listed, and this is my new favorite. The food was delicious, great service and we sat in a darling room with great ambiance. A definite must try.

I wish I could offer some glowing remarks besides the fact that the place is decorated very warmly and ecclectically. But that's the nicest thing I can say. For a party of 22, we were offered two teas period - one regular and one decaf, and only two pots for the entire room! The lid was chipped on one of the pots, and of course two pots for 22 ladies really slowed the service. Sadly, the tea sandwiches were dry and tasteless - 'regular' tuna and 'regular' egg salad, and something undefinable that one lady at our table thought was peanut butter with cinnamon. not a cucumber slice or fresh herb to be seen. They also ran out of desserts, and served my table 2 tiny lemon bonbons for all 7 of us, while the other two tables in our party had a 3-tiered service of desserts. Ambiance? At one point I heard the Eagles' 'Hotel California' playing on a radio. Under-staffed and under-attituded. The company was wonderful, but the tearoom a significant disappointment.

I love the warm atmosphere and the selection of teas. I love the private sitting rooms in the back. The palor is my favorite room and it felt like I was in a castle and I was a queen. Services is friendly, polite, and know their teas. The tigers eye was my favorite and the blue lady. I love the fact that I can buy the teas in bulk and will think of you whenever I drink my tea at home. You can definitely count on me being a regular customer.

The Posh Peasant is an enchanting, delightful Tea Room. The food and presentation are exquisite. Love the specials. Love the decor, which is now undergoing a metamorphosis. Every week something new is added, the chairs are more comfortable, the new drapes & florals are simply divine. Barabara Dorber is the new owner and she is doing an excellent job.

This place is the cutest little 'gardeny' tea spot around. The salads are AMAZING (no seriously... they're the best I've ever tasted).. the tea is okay, not the best, the scones are great. The only thing is that they seriously need to put on better music. But a lovely place in generaal
