All the women in my life go to the Brown Palace for tea every Christmas season, and not once has it disappointed. Great selection of teas (caffeinated, herbal, etc.) and crumpets and service! It's a tradition.

Treated my Mother to High Tea at the Brown Palace Hotel, and it was absolutely lovely and worth the hype. Sitting in the Dining/Atrium under the stained glass ceiling, Antique fixtures and unlimited charm.

THIS WAS GREAT. I loved the atmosphere, the tea was delicious, the food was good... having Afternoon Tea at The Brown Palace will forever be one of my favorite memories. I cannot wait to go back!

Absolutely the best tea room in Denver! On par with the best tea rooms in London and the rest of the world! Large variety of tea, delicious food, and impeccable service in a gorgeous setting. It doesn't get any better anywhere!

Perfection! No matter your age, 5 to 95, feel like a little girl being pampered at her tea party.

This is a very high-end tea experience. We had a wonderful afternoon in this beautiful, historic hotel. The food was gourmet and delectable. I would definitely return.

Although more expensive than other tea houses - $32 - $38 (Sept 2011), it was very nice with a piano player nearby. We had the tea with the champagne and truffle ($38) and really enjoyed it the egg salad sandwiches were the best. We had pumpkin pecan scones and brought the buttermilk scones home. So much food we could not finish it all and we were offered more sandwiches. A nice selection of teas from caffeine free, black teas to green teas. They did not offer any decaf black teas however.

The service was excellent. She was on top of it always coming around to provide more hot water for tea and she even brought me a little carrot cake in honor of my birthday. Very nice. Wonderful experience!!!

I have enjoyed High Tea in the Lobby of the Brown Palace hotel several times and have never been disappointed. It is the perfect place to relax and spend a special afternoon with girlfriends. Everything is wonderful from the linens, silverware, china and of course the music. The tea selections are delicious, the sandwiches fresh and the decadent desserts melt in your mouth. Always a wonderful experience.

You're paying for atmosphere with this tea room. The music is what makes it. The tea and food are average and not worth the money but add in the atmosphere and it is a nice treat. The staff is cold and uninviting, just doing their job. I would only do this on a very special occasion. To expensive otherwise.

I have been to tea at least 6 times over the last few years. I have always had excellent service. I highly recommend Marina as a tea hostess. The food has always been wonderful. I love the buttermilk scones, and all the chocolate yummies. I recommend the Brown Palace 7 layer treats. Each time I have gone they have had different finger sandwiches, but my favorite has been the seafood one. I always look forward to trips there for tea, and I haven't found a place that I like better. The only thing that I wish was different was their ability to host large tea parties.

I took my beloved family to this highly acclaimed palace of tea and was... suprised. I took one bite of the food and was continualy disappointed. The food was poor. I was not impressed in any way. Also, I loved the atmosphere for nothing else than the 'Brown Palace.' The service I experianced was nothing but crude. I felt very uncomfortable with my server. However, one upside to the meal was the very lengthy tea list and the gentleman playing the piano, an elegant touch to a meal. However the long and short of it is, it was not as valuable as my money is and I can always take the tour to experiance the ambiance of the hotel.

This was my favorite tea place until a recent visit. While they have improved their selection (especially when it comes to decaf/herbal teas), the menu has become less innovative and more expensive. One of the cucumber sandwiches was even a little soggy. This is a place I took my bridesmaids before my wedding. I considered the Brown the very best, etc. Now, I'm looking for a new favorite spot.

The atmosphere is still lovely (live harp or piano; elegant setting), but I am not planning to return soon.

I'm heart-broken about this, but the Brown tea isn't what it used to be. The unique scones have been replaced with traditional dry, crumbly ones. The innovative, ever-changing sandwiches and desserts have been replaced by traditional cucumber sandwiches, etc. AND to add insult in injury, prices went up from $23 to $29. What was once one of the best teas in the country, is now just mediocre. Bummer.

Five friends went on a Sat afternoon and it was delightful. A little pricey, but had a great server, and even more sandwiches were brought to us. I love the ambience and the service was very good, plus the tea was hot...as a tea drinker that is a must.

We attended the Christmas Tea after an afternoon performance at the Buell. It was extremely nice and beautifully decorated. We were very well attended by the waiters. I was extremely disappointed in other customers who attended the tea. Very few left a tip but expected 5 Star service. Tacky!

Our Red Hat Group went here during the holidays and was put on the second floor alone and ignored. Basically the refreshment were brought to us and no one else ever showed up again. When we went to have a photo taken in the main room the desk clerk made the comment that she could not believe we were coming in there. Very distastful for a high class establishment. I don't believe we paid less than the other guest. Very disappointed.

Definitely one of the best places in town for afternoon tea! Too bad it's so hard to get into! My friend tells me she books her holiday reservations a year in advance! In any case, I love going here for my birthday! The atmosphere is gorgeous, the food is delicious. They feature my favorite lemon curd in the city!

The Brown Palace is my favorite tea place. I go there often and the presentation of the food is beautiful, the same tea lunch (i.e. chocolate) comes with different sandwiches each time I'm there (and I've never had just all open face sandwiches served to me). The desserts are unique and tastey (favorite is the chocolate tea cup). It is a place to go for a leisurely tea expereince (1-1/2 to 2 hours). It is pricey but, in my opinion, worth every cent. It truly is a 5-star place.

I was dissapointed in my visit to the Brown Palace. I was looking forward to a special presentation. The scones were very sugary and ordinary. The sandwiches were 4 open face squares of bread. 3pieces of miniture sweets that were not very tasty. The price is high and you get very little for it. This is one to skip.

Someone recommended it as a great place for me and my little girls. I went on off hours just to be safe with a 4 and 5 year old. They were perfectly behaved, but despite that they put us in a hallway and then basically forgot about us. We had 4 adults and 2 kids and apparaently not high brow enough for them. Needless to say, we were all very turned off at how they shunned us. I have tasted tea all around the world and Brown Palace just isn't worth it. Their service is horrible, their food is average - why would I ever go through that again? The Holiday Chalet and Victorian B&B has much better tea, food, and presentation and their service is amazing!

We went to celebrate my friend's upcoming marriage and I've rarely had such poor service. We had to flag down our waitress and then when annother in order to order our food, which was tasty but nothing amazing, and then had to wait 30+ min and multiple requests to get our bill. I wouldn't recomend this tea room to anyone beyond just the fun of being at the Brown Palace

A fun experience but the quality of the tea doesn't live up to the food. Definately worth it though, for the great service and traditional afternoon tea atmosphere!

I was fortunate enough to have my friends throw a baby shower for me at the Brown Palace tea room. It was such a special experience, made me feel like queen for a day. This is a wonderful place to escape to for a very peaceful, relaxing few hours. Don't come in a hurry, you'll want to savor the special teas, wonderful food and elegant atmosphere. Be sure to make reservations in advance, though, especially around the holidays.

The Brown is elegance to the inth degree and in the ranks of Victoria's Empress or Bath's Tea Room. A wonderful annual tradition for tea that I began years ago with my friends and family.

Truly one of the finest tea rooms in America. Service can be uneven, and I object to the policy of requiring large groups to select only a few teas and then providing them with bagged tea. Smaller groups receive a pot of loose leaf tea for each customer. Food is excellent and is generously replenished. Ambience is very special.
