Wonderful and interesting selection of loose leaf- Employees friendly and VERY knowledgeable. They do not have a large variety of foods to choose from but the tea is outstanding!!

This was the first stop on my cross country tea trip.and a great way to start too. This shop is a great place with a very local feel. When I came in one of the regulars suggested the tea tasting and it was a great tip. Try a few things before you buy so you know your happy with your tea. Glad to have stopped here first for this trip. Next time I'm ever in the area I will come stop by again.

I was visiting San Diego and went in search of a great Tea place. I loved this one. The regulars sitting at the tea bar were friendly and the young man who served us was a pure delight. I felt right at home and brought home a new tea to enjoy.

Really great place for tea purists. Japanese style tea house. They'll spend time with you, & educate you. They also have tea masters visit from Japan. A really wonderful little place.

Searched the Web for a local San Diego tea shop that would carry a variety of teas back in 2005. I came across Infusions of Tea and had the pleasure of meeting the tea house's two very friendly and knowledgeable tea connoisseurs, Emily and Ron. The selections of tea are great. Emily and Ron are quite informed in the world of tea. Finally, a terriic place to enjoy, sample and learn about tea culture.

When I was visiting my cousin in San Diego, I wanted to find a good tea house. I looked on teamap but most of the tea shops in the San Diego area were the Victorian - white glove - society lady type of tea houses. Those places are cool if you want to make an event of having tea but not when you just want to have a low key, no frills cup of tea. From what I read online, Infusions looked like a chill place with a great tea selection. We found that what we had read was true. My cousin, her husband and I went in and sat at the small counter and tasted about 10 teas. The tea tasting is very inexpensive and the owners were very accommodating to us. They were knowledgeable and very sweet. They stock a selection of teas that covers the well known fine teas of the world with some rooibos', mates', herbals, and blends. We especially liked the second flush darjeeling, the imperial pu erh, the rooibos (with orange and vanilla), and the confusius blend. They have some very tasty pastries that they make themselves. They also have a great selection of gifts. This place is great for everyone: tea connoisseurs, casual tea drinkers, and people looking for something different.

Ron and Emily really made this little tea shop great. They are always honest, humble if they don't know something, and try very hard to converse and remember each and every customer they encounter. They offer tea samplings, and thoroughly explain all they know of tea, no reserve.
Tea is the focus here, not food, not sugar syrup, not boba/pearl/tapioca. Tea selection is great, the shelves of tea tins says it all, although I hope they can carry dried flower petals, too (rose buds, sakura, chrysanthemums, lilies buds, etc). Served hot or cold, they always make it right, just how you want it. They also sell leaves, and can do a simple gift-wrap for you.
I would recommend this tea shop to anyone. Their tea is far more superb than next-door Starbuck's, and it is done just as fast, plus cost about the same. It is really worth going.

This is my favorite tearoom in the area. Emily and Ron are wonderful 'hosts', always inviting us to sample the latest tea, always giving us valuable tea information, stocking their beautiful space with wonderful tea-related products, and, most of all, giving us a Zen space right in the midst of San Diego hustle and bustle. I love it there and I highly recommend checking it out for a truly great tea experience.

I was so excited to find this little gem of a tea shop. Not only is the shop warm and inviting, the owners are delightful to talk to. What I appreciated is their knowledge about teas and the extra bonus of being able to taste test prior to making my selection. They have an excellent selection of teas in which to experience. In addition to the store they also make their products available on line.
