I was here July 27, 2011.....THEY HAVE REOPENED under new management. Good food, great earl grey...my favorite. Building not barrier free - three steps up. Metered street parking. Serves lunch, dinner, full tea. There guiche and scones were outstanding. Tea didn't require a reservation. GO and TRY THEM

I made reservations a month in advance, and closer to the date I needed to add a person, I called back left a message and no one ever returned my call. I called 3 times.

This is one of my favorite tea rooms. They are very accommodating to each and every need. With a beautiful Arabian Nights flair you can't help but leave feeling like a sultan...

I'm almost tempted to not add my review of Sharazade's because I feel that it's my own little sanctuary and I'd hate to see it become more crowded. But I love this place. It's my favorite of the tea shops I've visited in Md and WV. The loose tea assortment is wonderful, with some great robust selections. The food is consistently delicious (though I'll admit I stick to my favorites: Spanakopita and the excellent frittata). And the atmosphere is so warm and cozy, I'm always tempted to stay the whole day. Regarding the service: Sharazade's is a small shop with a very small staff and is *very* popular. I generally visit during off-hours and get wonderful service. The *only* time I've ever had slow service was on a day during peak hours when every table in the shop was full. And now my secret is out and I'll never be able to get my favorite table again...

I have been to this tea room a dozen times over the last year. Every time the service was timely in comparision to how many people were there. The staff was always helpful and polite. My favorites are the scones, turkey basil sandwich, and the rooibos provence tea. The portions are not big, you pay more for the taste than the quantity. Still fairly priced though in comparision to every other restaurant between Shephardstown,WV and Winchester,VA.I been to 6 others in that area, all were terrible.

Our high tea adventure turned sour. We had reservations...the table was marked, we placed our orders: grilled sandwiches for 5 adults, (mine was to be eggplant, mozzerella, tomatoe), fruit & cheese plate for two children to share with some crackers...then I ordered 1 full high tea service as it came with 6 desserts, assorted mini sandwhiches, and scones (enough for all)....90 minutes later.....we had nothing...the kids were getting antsy...my four year old granddaughter kept saying 'where are those crackers'....people coming in after us were served, we tried to flag the waitress and she ignored us...My daughter errupted and said...let's go....it was terrible. Then suddenly the owner appeared...and what was the problem...we told her...then she told us to find lunch someplace else! So we left...then she followed us outside and said what about the food that was sitting in the kitchen...and I said...it should have been on the table...we waited 90 minutes, had reservatins, other people came in after us and were served...then she said we should have compassion...we said we should have had food.....so we left and went to a burger place and had food for all in under 20 minutes... so that was our very memorable ... Sunday Memorial day....

This place is a lot of fun. It has a Turkish ambiance. Food and tea selection are good. This is a nice place to kick back for a snack and conversation. Portions could be more generous. You pay enough for a meal but really only get a snack, and I always believe that tea pots should be refillable, which it is not here.

My wife and I go to this tea room about once a month. It is enjoyable to and share a pot of good tea and just to take time and relax. The variety of fine teas offered is limited but the offerings they have are exxcellent. They do not have a first flush Darjeeling. The munu is very nice. One can order light tea snacks or grilled sandwiches and salads to make a good meal. I highly recommend this establishment.

My husband and I ate here not realizing it would be a tea room. Overall, our experience was fine, but I've been in better tea rooms. I did like the seating arrangement here though. It was very quaint.

I found this completely by accident while visiting with my family. I came across one of the owners walking her dogs along German street and stopped to talk with her. I found her extremely pleasant and she invited us to have a cup of tea at her restaurant. What we found was bliss. The non tea drinker of the family seemed to enjoy himself the most! The menu is ecclectic with something even for fellow vegetarians, and the service is prompt, friendly and even dress the part. It's an absolutely wonderful find and I would encourage everyone from older people looking for a relaxing cup of tea to the trendy crowd looking for a different place to hang out with friends and to taste something exotic.

This is a rare find, and such a great relaxed lovely environment. I drive from Baltimore to have a cup of tea and nejoy the deserts. It's a great place and very unique...

With an interior straight out of Shaharazade's magical tales, this is a sparkling gem in one of the most intriguing little towns anywhere. We had a small party there (about 10 people), and though it's a tiny place, they made everyone feel warmly welcome, and thrilled every tastebud, even the vegans'. The tea presentation includes expert brewing and unusually lovely tableware.

A truly magnificent treat. The atomosphere is cozy and the decor is lovely. The tea was a true delight and well as our lunch. They have a vast selection of hot and iced teas as well the formal tea sandwiches & pastries. In addition they serve breakfast, lunch & dinner.
