Communitea is Long Island City's first tea-house offering a wide selection of organic and premium loose-leaf teas from all over the world. Not only do we serve a great 'cuppa' but also roasted whole bean coffee, fresh made sandwiches and panini, savory soups and salads, and weekend brunch as well.

Looking for a treat? Stop in for our in house-baked scones, sweets and savories- a special treat for you and a guest! Ask about our vegan and gluten-free sweet-treats as well.

If you are new to the world of tea we can provide you with tips on how to infuse a proper cup of tea. We can assist in setting you up with a Teapot or infuser. Need a gift for a tea enthusiast? A tea infuser paired with a bag of loose whole-leaf tea will sure to please!

      I live very close to this place. Its more of a coffee shop than a tea house but it has a great selection of black, green and herbal teas as well as some nice blends. The atmosphere is very nice and a great place to plop down with your computer and work

      I've been to comunitea twice so far as a new resident of long island city. Food is great, the servers are disinterested, and they make all the tea with boiling water. So, if you are a true tea drinker, you can't drink green or white tea from here. They do time the steeping, which is a plus. They don't have different size cups.

      coffee drinkers vastly outnumber tea drinkers here, so aside from the kitchy name, I wouldn't really consider it a true tea house. Breakfasts are good.

      Nice decor, OK food, fast internet but stay away from KIM, her rude attitude really spoils this friendly café.

      I almost started working for this little shop when I moved to the city. I had to turn them down because of scheduling stuff, but I've gone out of my way to go back a few times because I believe in the business so strongly. Awesome!

      I Just moved here a few months ago from fl. and was afraid to even venture out of my apt. for the first week. Communitea is right down my street and was the first place I felt welcome in such a city so large. Thank you for making me feel welcome Communitea.

      I JUST LOVE THIS PLACE. I've been in LIC about 4 years and started to come here a year ago. What was I thinking for the other 3 years. Everbody is just great there. I love you guys!!!!!!

      I'm here at LIC for 1 month and a half to study in New York, I come with my labtop, and this cool and kind place really makes feel at home. Thanks communitea! I really recommend it for everyone passing from around Hunters Point (line 7 at vernon blvd)

      Love this place! Fun tea choices, great food, cozy environment that still makes you feel like you have your own space, nice staff and WI-FI. Easy to find just a few blocks down Vernon from the 7 train.

      This place is perfect for long-term studying. The food and drink prices are reasonable and other patrons are considerate of those who are studying. Great music - never too loud. The staff is excellent.
