Staff all seems so happy to work there and love to talk tea! I generally just tell them whether I want something iced or hot, caffeinated or non-caffeinated and let them make/blend me something! They always come out delicious and once when they made me something fruity (yuck) I told them I didn't like fruity and they have always remembered :)

This place was awful. Horrible service and overpriced less than outstanding food. We will never go back.

There is a great selection of teas and the staff is very knowledgeable. When I told them what was ailing me they offered a special blend of teas that would help. Not only did it help but it tasted amazing! The menu is great, good selection but not overwhelming. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It was crowded when I went. Staff very busy. I was not acknowledged. After standing for about 10 minutes, I left. Place was a little dirty

Very nice service with a wonderful attitude. The tes are delicious and the apperence is a very upbeat and cheerful one. Could use a little more variety on food but this is by far the best vegan food I've had.

The environment is wonderfully cozy, and it is good to have fresh, quality food with your tea. However, the menu is lacking in variety.

Last time I listen to Orlando Weekly. I can make the same 'quality' veggie cuisine at home. Too much hype, no delivery...

Food is far better than service! While tasty, the girl behind the counter seemed to be upset I came in the store. Tea selection was good but presentation in plastic left a little to be desired. Overall B- but definitely worth a try.

Great decor and wonderful tea infusions. The tasty sandwich (nutterfuffer or something like that) and veggie chili was perfect, and did not overwhelm the tast of the tea infustion. Bravo!I've been a couple of times, and I'll go again. However, Chris & Julie, remember that the person behind the counter can make or break a customer's experience so please try to get some friendly people behind the tea bar so I'll have a new place to dine! God Bless & thanks for adding to the cultural map of Orlando!!

Like others, I listened to the hype, but great marketing falls very short at this place. The two workers were more interested in talking to each other. Only Infusion from now on, at least they seem to appreciate my business.

I went to this place shortly after it opened, excited that there was a new tea shop in town because I loved going to Infusion. However, it wasn't really a tea 'shop', since you couldn't buy loose teas, which was a huge perk for me, since I don't pass by many tea shops in my daily routes. I'd rather have my own tea to brew everyday at home than have to stop somewhere. The tea itself was okay, I didn't really notice anything special about it. I had some pita and hummus and that wasn't too spectacular either, but it wasn't bad. I like the decor of the place, but that's about it. I wouldn't be opposed to coming here again, but I wouldn't be against it either. If I wanted to go get some tea, I'd always choose Infusion.

this is my second review. i did dandelion another chance, and another, and another, and i was happy. the food is really really yummy. the staff is cheerful, and the barista who served me was very accomodating to a very simple problem I had (which was mostly my mistake, incidentally). when i go, i usually get the liquid yoga tonic. the atmosphere is also pretty cool. i'm sorry, i wish i could withdraw my first review.

Dear owners of Dandelion, don't worry about Dagny's comments. Dagny is to busy bashing the majority of local tea establishments in central florida and promoting just one. Not to hard to figure out. I can tell you, I've been to your tea room and it is very unique and the tea is very tasty with a very friendly atmospere, and relaxing.

I've given this place over five chances, for tea, beer and food, because I live in the neighborhood. The tea, which I’ve not yet liked, is also customer-steeped in the same plastic container I will not even use at home anymore. This goes for hot or iced tea. Also, I’ve yet to visit a place in Central Florida that serves tea of such a diminished quality of quantity. As far as the management of the business, I've seen a consistent trend of magnified lip service. They do an amazing job at marketing, updating their website and other things an excellent graphic designer should be doing, which makes sense as the owner as a degree in graphic design. However, their expertise in tea and customer service skills both made low priority on the list. This place is a grandiose idea with an emphasis outside good business. It continues to bother me that a place that has no idea how to sell tea comes into the picture claiming to have great veggie food and tea, when the Infusion has existed all along. Infusion, who does not have paint their establishment lime green and blow a bull horn everytime a free local publication votes them “Best of,” has been doing what Dandelion merely attempts to do only with precision and high quality business skills. Sorry, folks. I really want to like you, but I have come to see that the 'Communinitea' is a clique in which I cannot fit.

Dear Tea Lovers,<BR> <BR> We stand behind the excellent quality of over 30 exquisite organic, loose leaf teas that we lovingly serve with filtered, energized water, including several locally blended herbal tesanes by Orenda Herbal. We are typically quite busy since the foodservice side of the cafe is much larger than a typical teahouse, which seems to be leaving some tea-lover's in search of a more intimate discussion about tea wanting more. In response to the reviews on this site, we are consciously evaluating our tea service & doing more to educate our hard-working staff about the many nuances of the different varieties of tea. <BR> <BR> We've had to juggle a lot since we've gained such popularity so quickly (we are almost 6 months old), and we are trying to be careful about our growth so that quality and service are not diminished. <BR> <BR> We encourage those of you who have not been in to please come have a free cup of tea (print out the coupon) and experience for yourself the happy & honest energy that exists at Dandelion. We welcome your feedback & if you experience anything less than fabulousness, please let me know during your visit & we will refund your money & will learn what we can do to improve our service at the same time.<BR> <BR> If you would like to read reviews reflecting a different customer experience at Dandelion, I encourage you to check out this site http://www.happycow.net/reviews.php?id=6979 <BR> <BR> Thanks for taking the time to read this & giving our small mom & pop shop with eco-leanings (and business degree's!) a shot.<BR> <BR> Sustainably & peacefully yours,<BR> <BR> Julie & Chris, Owners

If I go back to Dandelion it will be to order their chili to go. When I ordered an iced chai latte, I was asked if I wanted milk with my tea. I thought that is why it is called a 'latte.' I ended up getting a very watered down drink - basically an iced chai with a spash of soy milk. Anyway, the employees seemed more interested in collecting their tea timers than checking to see if their customers are enjoying their tea. Our table did not have enough tableware and the bucket had a bug in the bottom. Ugh! This cafe is the perfect definition of a work-aurant.

I normally go to Infusion, but was in Thornton park visiting friends. I will continue to go back to Infusion. The two people working were more interested in talking to each other than helping me and the other three customers. I like the atmosphere, but it didn't make up for being ignored and given luke warm tea.

I have only been to Dandelion once, but I am looking forward to returning for many more visits (I planned on dinner last Monday with friends, but the cafe was closed). The food was excellent and so was the service. I found the environment to be relaxing and most enjoyable.

decent selection of blacks and herbals, but lacking in the greens and oolong. mostly the re-naming of the teas steered me away. so i picked a tea that was one of their premium blends and it was no good (but that's not their fault). my tea came out steeping in one of those plastic things with a mug. after the timer goes off you're to have the plastic thing dump the tea into your mug. i have the very same plastic thing at home and it's fine for when i'm in the mood for ice tea, but i don't want to pay $3 for something i can do at home with a better tea. i saw they were hiring 'cheerful' people on the website. the guy at the counter was anything but. however i will be back to try the food, unfortunately i didn't get the chance during my visit.

      Tearoom response:

Hey John,<BR> <BR> My name is Julie & I'm one of the owners of Dandelion. So sorry that you had a less than lovely time at our cafe & I do hope that you had an opportunity to come back and try our delicious food. We've had nothing but rave reviews from other folks, so it must've been an off-moment for us to score so low on the scale. I'd love to make it up to you - next time you are in, ask for me and we'll find you something to love. Until then, peace, love & light my friend.
