This little tea room right next to the Cos Cob library has mismatched tables and chairs in a small but airy space. They offer afternoon tea with cucumber, chicken salad and egg sandwiches, a delicious scone and tiny pastries. Also offered are sandwiches, homemade soup of the day and salads. The food, prepared in a tiny kitchen, is remarkable, fresh and tasty. Service is friendly but erratic.

We had to wait over an hour to be seated and then were ignored at our table for another half hour. Then our food arrived and it was average at best. Add that to the definite feeling that the staff wanted to rush us out the door to seat more people and it was an overall unpleasant experience.

I have never had such dry scones in my life. The 'clotted cream' (from a jar) was sour, I actually had to spit it out. The desserts were mushy. Granted, the sandwiches were halfway decent and the atmosphere was pleasant enough. But all in all, I wouldn't recommend going if you actually know your teas and expect decent food with good service.

I love this place! Such a great escape from the frantic pace of life. Going to The Drawing Room is like flying to Europe for the afternoon. The atmosphere is great, service is excellent and the food is to die for! They also have a wonderful boutique filled with gifts, furniture, home accessories, jewelry and more. Whenever I am in town I make it a point to stop here. Try their latte or wonderful loose tea (Hot Mama's my favorite)

Just visited for my mother's birthday and had a very nice time. The iced teas were delicious as were the scones accompanied with artisan jam. I wish there was a bit more variety in both the finger sandwiches ( only three kinds) and the desserts, for they were all tartlets. Fruit of some kind would be a nice addition! The service was excellent and I do recommend this tea room, however for 25 dollars per person, I think more variety would do the trick!

My daughter & I had lunch at this charming spot yesterday. Wonderful experience! We enjoyed the pot of chai tea, fabulous tea sandwiches & a salad, but the real show stopper for me was the clam chowder. It was the most flavorful, rich, yet light cup of chowder I've ever had. I will look forward to returning to The Drawing Room on my next visit to Greenwich. I also love that they carry KHall products...their diffusers are the best.

The tea sandwiches were delicious, the tea wasn't prepared with a timer and there wasn't a great selection of teas. That being said, the sandwiches were the best I've had in the area. A totally fabulous experience despite the negatives.

The Drawing Room is unique in a way that is seldom found in a mass-market world. The owners have gone a long way toward putting their stamp on their teashop and boutique, and every last detail has been considered. The teas are phenomenal - I especially like Black Mango and White Melon. Their food selections are also enjoyable - try all of the tea sandwiches, especially the chicken salad. If you have a few minutes afterwards, the boutique is well worth a browse.

The Drawing Room is one of the best kept secrets in the area...its own little getaway to the South of France. They carry exceptional teas..Hot Mama and Waves of Joy are my favorites. And yes, the egg salad is exceptional. It's so refreshing to be in a place that has real character, artistry, and vision beyond the mainstream.

Quite a special and unique place...Food is fantastic including the egg salad sandwich which is the best in CT and NY. Wonderful atmosphere, and beautiful artwork on the walls of the cafe and boutique.

Outstanding! A real hidden gem. Love the space and the food is divine! Great destination spot - they even have a boutique in back. Can't wait for the patio to open in spring. This place is my new favorite.

I love this tea room. The service is so friendly, the food is excellent, and the place is charming. My only complaint is they are closed Mondays!

One of the things I love most about Greenwich, along with walks at the Audobon after work & the beach, is this place. It's a cozy, friendly & relaxed environment, a real comfort zone.

I adore 'takig tea' and this tea room in Cos Cob is a wonderful place for a 'cuppa'. The day I called to make a reservation for very late in the day, in fact 1/2 prior to closing time, I was told that even if I arrived 5 minutes before closing I could still be served with a smile! They were so right as I arrived about 15 minutes to 5 and was treated with graciousness, charm and an array of very appetising sandwiches and the most delicious scones! The ambience was stellar (I sat right next to a babbling brook outside my window) the food so tasty and my very lovely French server was professional, patient and so welcoming. The shop that is connected to the Tea room is not to be missed! I picked out a stunning portrait of the Father of our country to give to my husband for Father's Day! I am so amxious to return to The Drawing Room.

The most wonderful and peaceful tearoom I have ever been to. Such care goes into every customer. The atmosphere is so pure and relaxing, a wonderful place to spend the afternoon!
