I recently went to Emma's for a tea party with my step-sister and my mother in-law. I was completely shocked by the service! The servers were so sweet and offered everything on my mind. The variety of tea was simply amazing and the menu was so large I just couldn't decide! But I finally decided on a pumpkin spice which tasted so great I had to have two large pots! When the food arrived shortly after I was amazed at the artistry that was used on each and every sweet. The quality of the food was simply perfect. It could almost compete with a New York bakery's sweets and I think my taste buds were surely celebrating in my mouth. Of all things at this time in the economy, the price was kept at a very low price for the special occasion. I will always remeber to stop by Emma's on my visits to my old town where I grew up. I sure wish it had been there when I was a child! And I totally disagree with Cassidy, I think she was at the wrong Emma's!

We visited Emma's recently. We enjoyed the tea selection, and the staff were lovely. Unfortunately, the food was pedestrian at best. The aus jus was salty and tasted like a package, the sandwiches boring and vending machine quality. We really we expecting a special time, and were very disappointed. Being the only tea room in Huntsville, we think they should 'step it up' maybe do some research into what other tea rooms do. If somebody opens a competing tearoom in Huntsville, emma's would be in trouble!

On the day after Thanksgiving, I joined my sister, Marie, to the Annual Christmas Tea! It was one of the most delicous meals I have ever tasted! With over 60 varites of tea, I could not choose! It came down to Strawberry Kiwi, which I strongly recommend. The service was very nice and Marie and I extremely enjoined! The seafood and 'christmasy' foods were so delicous! It felt as if I was at a Gurmet Resturant, yet I still felt as if I as in the Charming house in the lovely and elegant Five Points area! As I was visiting just for the week, we decided to go there for lunch, which was very great! I recommend the Sampler Salad, as you will get each of Emma's most 'known for' salads!

My daughter and I had lunch at Emma's on my birthday. And we both loved it! Everything was decorated in teapots and teacups. We loved the atmosphere of the old bungalow. We had a light lunch and tryed 2 different teas! They both were wonderful! We will definately go back!

Emma's Tea Room is located in a charming bungalow in the historic Five Points district. It always offers its patrons a wide selection of loose-leaf teas well-brewed in china teapots in a series of pretty rooms with finely appointed tea tables. Light lunches are served during regular hours, with afternoon tea served on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for groups of 4 or more with prior reservations. It also offers special event afternoon teas, one of which I just enjoyed this past weekend for an early Mother's Day Tea. If you ever have an opportunity to attend one of these special teas, I heartily recommend that you do so. For Mother's Day Tea, Emma's served a choice of 4 delectable teas ranging from Pomegranate Green Tea to Rooibos to regular and flavored-Darjeeling. Food courses began with a fresh-from-the-oven, melt-in-your-mouth lavender & green tea scone accompanied by a sinfully delicious lemon curd and cream. We were then treated to a cup of delicately-flavored and refreshing strawberry soup. Following this course was a trio of absolutely beautiful and artistic tea sandwiches that offered a variety of delicious taste sensations. We then partook of the lightest, most refreshing homemade watermelon sorbet. Magnificent! (And I don't even like watermelon.) Finally, we finished this 5-course meal with 4 delicious and dainty sweet treats. My favorite was the mocha-flavored mousse served on an ornate white chocolate shell. Sinfully delicious! Rebekah, thank your for offering your patrons such an exquisite afternoon tea!!

This is a very charming and relaxing place to go with a few friends. The owner is usually on premises and has always gone out of her way to make sure customers are happy. The food is very fresh and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the afternoon tea served by a very friendly and hospitable staff.

I love this tea room and visited it on at least three occasions. The food is delicious! The curry tuna salad is delectable and one of my favorites. I also thoroughly enjoyed the creamy seafood salad - the first I had ever really enjoyed. Everything is perfectly prepared. You can't go wrong with the desserts here. The trifles are always fantastic - but they go quick! I loved the decor and the service is quite good. The only time you have to wait is when you pay you bill. That's usually because everyone is in the back creating and assembling more delicious goodies. Reservations are strongly recommended and they are easy to make. Sadly, I've moved away from the area, but if I get a chance you can bet I will be back and hoping that the wedding cake trifle is on the menu!

This was simply a delightful tea. The staff was kind and the setting was decorated with little fall touches. The owner asked us if we could smell the spice scones baking as we entered. The chicken salad sandwiches with dried cranberries were delicious. The food was so good and looked so pretty that I actually took a picture of it. What a wonderful memory for me and my daughter! Next time I'm in Huntsville it's on the top of my list.

I really enjoyed my visit to Emma's Tea Room. I was in Huntsville on business travel and decided to stop in after seeing the building from the street. I ordered the chicken salad on a croissant and had the wedding cake trifle. It was such a magnificent experience, I immediately told my friends whose husbands are from the area so that they could be sure to visit the next time they are in Huntsville. Keep up the good work and please consider opening a tea room in Nashville. You'd be quite successful. Thanks again for the great food, service and ambiance. I hope to visit again some day.

We had a delightful experience at Emma's Tea Room. It was decorated in a charming, whimsical way. They made us feel very at home. The Italian cake was OUT OF THIS WORLD. My mark is whether I'd go back and the answer is yes and with friends!

Very much enjoyed a lovely lunch at Emma's with a friend from out-of-state. Lovely setting, but a bit crowded (MAKE A RESERVATION!) and a little pricey, but very nice for a 'treat'.

This is a delightful little nook, in a quaint district of Huntsville, Alabama. Located in an old home in the historic 5 Points area of town, it is customer friendly and charming in a low key, not haughty way. The waitress was informative and paid enough attention to us to let us know she was there for any need, but not so much as to be annoying. The desserts were to die for. I loved it!

I have just visited Emma's Tea Room in historic 5 points. What an experience!!! I have never felt so relaxed. The food was FANTASTIC!! The service was great!! My mother and I just visited Emma's tea room. I must say it was not a good experience. The building was cold ,service was slow , no smiles or personality from staff, overpriced($20 for 1/2 sandwich and a salad) , decor was tacky. I was so quite , I felt like I was in church. Sorry!

      Tearoom response:

I'm so terribly sorry to hear of your bad experience. We try very hard to create a warm and inviting atmosphere and to be sure that every customer leaves happy. Please come again and let me know who you are so I can 'make it up to you.' Rebekah

I just took my wife to lunch at Emma's Tea Room and it was a wonderful experience. She said the quiche was the best she has ever had! I had the chicken salad and it was great. The tea menu includes over 50 teas including a lot of green teas, rooibos, white and herbal teas. The atmosphere is very calming with fresh flowers, nice china and soothing music. The place isn't even a year old, so I can't wait to see how many teas are on the menu next year. It is kind of a girly place, but a great place to take your wife or girlfriend on a date!

What a AHHHH moment it is to eat at this lovely tearoom. A sweet lunch at a reasonable price, beautifully prepared, and served in a wonderful atmosphere. When I visit Huntsville again, Emma's will be high on my list to repeat.

Refreshingly elegant...this is so true! Huntsville needs a place like Emma's Tea Room. I enjoyed the food, especially the muffins served with the chicken salad. The food, service, art, and overall dining experience earns an A+ with me.

I have been to Emma's Tea Room for both lunch and Afternoon Tea several times and I have always been extremely pleased. It is true that sometimes the place is packed which is why they have gone to reservations. I have ALWAYS had very good service and have ALWAYS found the staff to be exceedingly friendly. Chicken salad is some of the best I have EVER tasted and the prices are good. Fresh flowers are on every table and gifts are made by local artists which add a unique atmosphere. I think Emma's is a perfect place to take a client!

I visited Emma's Tea Room for the first and last time in June with some out of town clients. I was very disappointed. The staff was very unfriendly, the service was slow and bathroom needed cleaning. We waited forever for a table. I wasn't offered any tea or even told what was recommended. Also, be sure to bring some change for the tip. They won't let you put your tip on your credit card. I've been told Jeff Sikes is opening up a very classy lunch spot down town that is sure to be upscale. If you want to impress your clients, don't take them to Emma's!

      Tearoom response:

I am so terrible sorry you had such a miserable experience when you visited Emma's. If I had known about your disappointments, I would have done my best to make your experience better. I try to make it around to every table to check on customers so that I can address any problems as they arise. Although it is true that when we first opened we could not add tips to the credit card, I am happy to report that we can now. I certainly hope that you will give Emma's another chance in the future.

I had such a great luncheon experience at Emma's! It has a beautiful, flower-filled atmosphere and the table settings of real silver and china make it feel like home on a special occasion. Best of all, the food is absolutely delicious and very moderately priced. There are not too many places these days where you can get a fine lunch, artistically presented, for under $8. The only problem I had with the dessert was deciding which one to get! My friend and I finally ordered different ones and split them. The Italian Cake was yummy and the pecan pie trifle was to write home about. The gift shop items are also unique and moderately priced. I got a head start on my Christmas shopping with gifts I haven't seen anywhere else.

Yesterday I discovered Emma's Tea Room in Huntsville, AL. I didn't know such a place existed until I read a rave review in the Huntsville Times. They were were so right! Emma's is beautiful. A lovely old house, filled with fresh flowers in a sun-filled atmosphere, makes it a delight to open the front door. Tastefully arranged art, antiques and gifts are a joy to the eye. But best of all, is the dining experience. Moderately priced (I ate last week at Quiznos and spent the same), the sandwiches and salads are super-fresh, homemade, and delicious. The desserts are to die for. The tables are well spaced so one can easily talk to one's companion, and the food is served on lovely china with real silver by friendly waitresses. Emma's was a thoroughly delightful experience and one I intend to re-visit often, bringing friends and family.

The food is good but too expensive for what you receive. The service is not what I expected as the server obviously didn't know much about manners. The owner, I assume, was more helpful and much friendlier. I would suggest having a menu of what teas are available as the server was not 'really sure, just a lot' as she stated.

The place is beautiful! The china was beautiful as well! However...you MUST have 4 people to enjoy the tea. Also, they had no milk to serve with the tea, just half and half. I had to ask for plates. We were not given a menu for the types/kinds of tea, so I listed average above as I have no idea of their selection. The server was nice, but not overly helpful or attentive. The woman who was clearly the owner was much more helpful. The food was excellent. However, I felt it was a tad expensive for what we recieved.

      Tearoom response:

I am very sorry about your experience the day you visited Emma's. It is true that we request that you have four people to experience the elegant afternoon tea because we make our delicious treats fresh for each party. Guests dining alone are certainly welcome to enjoy lunch or tea and cake/scone at any time. We now have a tea menu offering 48 teas.

This new tearoom is wildly popular with Huntsville residents. And for good reason! The food is delicious and there is a wide selection of teas. All of this is presented beautifully on fine china in a chamring location in the historic Five Points district. Emma's serves both lunch and, with advance reservations for parties of at least 4, an elegant afternoon tea. They have it all: great food, extensive selection of teas, beautiful location, and friendly service.
