I want to thank you for years of wonderful food and service. Your tearoom is charming and I am actually grieving at it's closing. I have come here for all the important events of my life recently. I love you like family and I pray that all goes well. No tearoom has been or ever will be as perfect as yours. You paid attention to every detail including the garnish on the plates. I know of no other restaurant that people at other tables were talking like old friends by the end of the meal. You had something special; a haven so-to-speak in a very hectic world. I just thought you should know. You will be sorely missed. You were the queen of tearooms.

I visited with my daughter-in-law today. It was her first time to a tearoom for lunch. We were both terribly underwhelmed. The flavored iced tea was good enough, as was the food. But I was very disappointed in the dingy decor, dirty rug, the unkempt area of the ladies' room, and careless service. I said to my guest that I wished it was cleaner and friendlier. She said it needed a whole lot of '-ers'...neater, better... I won't be back.

Judy - Your fellow classmates, John, Carol and I are so glad that we took the time from our 50th reunion to visit your tea room. We really did enjoy it. The food was delicious and the history of the antiques that you have are so interesting and fascinating. I have raved about it to my friends and relatives and have found that several of my friends already know about your tea room and am told how much they have enjoyed it, also. That's when I get to brag about how I know the sweet person who runs it. I will be returning with more friends so they can have the same enjoyment, too. It was great meeting your family, also. Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality. See you soon.

I just attended the Haunted High tea with my friends last Sunday! We had a great time. The food was delicious and fun. We even won a door prize. What fun!

My mother, grandmother, and aunt went to the tea room to have lunch and they could not stop raving about it. They loved the food and they said the service was wonderful. My mother was able to drink a flavor of tea that she had not been able to find since her honeymoon, almost 20 years ago!I've been there once or twice and can't wait until I get to go back again!

We enjoyed a beautiful lunch this past week. Even though the tea room was very busy, the ladies were delightful, and the food was scrumptious. You have to check out this tea room, as it is so quaint, and is decorated beautifully. We did see some men in the room, too, so don't be afraid to bring your husband. They were just as delighted as we were! Everything was fresh, clean and yummy! And what a fine selection of tea!

From the vast array of teas available to the full menu, this tea room is like no other. Where else can you hear poetry with lunch. I adore this tea room! Becky, Judy and Barb have made it a destination to visit time and time again.

I am a man. And to all the other men who believe that tearooms have a scarce amount of food and only serve dainty dishes, I can say the St.Louis Tearoom is an exception. I am a frequent visitor and am pleased with my stay each time. Each entree' offers something new and exciting, as well as high quality you can taste. I prefer the steak medallions with a brandied sauce. I recommend coming here if you want to be amazed.

I frequently visit. I like to sit in the pink room and imagine I've stepped back in time to a slower pace. I can forget about my stress for awhile. And while I am there I feel rich. The friendly servers and delicious food is a bonus. I often order the special on the menu because it comes with dessert.

I live near Peoria, IL. The first place I look forward to do when I go to St.Louis, MO is to eat with friends and family at the St. Louis Tea Room. The food is original and fresh, the service is very efficient, and the ambiance is as light and fresh as the food.

My best friend, Gail, introduced me to this tea room. She raved about how wonderful everything was so I had high expectations. The food was exceptional, the presentation was very appealing and the gift shop was full of treasures. I didn't have room for dessert so I have to return soon! The readings are quite unique and add more charm to an already endearing experience. Thank you!

This is a lovely tea room semi-Victorian in style in St. Louis, Missouri. It offers a quaint environment, great tea and food at great prices. Their scones are marvelous and served with a variety of spreads. Dishes on which you are served along with the tea pots that are used are different at each table. The day we went happened to be the first anniversary of the establishment at its new location, and they treated their guests to a piece of cake. The servers are pleasant and helpful. St. Louis Tea Room also provides various items for sale. Highly suggest you go.

The St. Louis Tea Room is like stepping back in time to an era where life wasn't so hectic, and people enjoyed simple pleasures like tea time and poetry. The food was superb, the tea delightful, and the service was pleasant. I especially loved hearing the hostess read an Irish folk tale, she was the highlight of my afternoon.

So I grew up in this area and I was driving around the old neighborhood when I came apon the tea room. So I decided to stop in and see. I was greeted at the door by and very nice hospitalble woman who I later learned was the owner. I was sat promptly at one of the cute little tables. Soon I was approached by a very cute waitress named Amanda who suggested a wonderful Cherry Almond tea which I enjoyed very much. She then brought me some wonderful warm scones with all the fixins you would need to really enjoy the scones fully. Yummy. I then asked Amanda what she would suggest for my lunch and told her to suprise me she smiled and told me I would not be dissapointed. About 10 minutes later I was served a beautifuly presented plate of Chicken salad with a small house salad on the side. It was so pretty I almost didn't want to mess it up. I was hungry so I did. The chicken salad was wonderful and the house dressing for the salad was delicious. I finished my lunch and another glass of tea then proceded to the gift shop where I found some scented homemade votives. All in all I was very impressed and greatly enjoyed my visit to the tea room and I will definetly be returning often.

The tea selection is always excellent, and the decor is lovely. The owner can be grumpy, though, so look out. I brought a large group there last year & the owner shouted at one of my guests so rudely that he swore he would never return. Then she turned and yelled at me when I told her that one of our other guests couldn't make it (we had about 15 people there) & with a raised voice told me that 'she had reserved the entire room for us,' which was clearly not true since there were several full tables in there before we even arrived. It's too bad, in a way, because I liked the place, but I'll never go back again. Their service is uneven; sometimes really friendly and sweet, and other times just plain cranky.

'When one encounters scones so perfect, the only acceptable is to reaction is to remorselessly gobble them covering them with cream, butter, wine jelly then to compliment the flavors with a sip of lively tea.' Along with the best scones I've ever had, excellent tea and unique atmosphere, the lunch sandwiches were satisfyingly good as were the sides. I will patronize this establishment...a lot.

I have been to many tea houses throughout the US and the St Louis Tearoom is a complete delight. Their attention to detail is splendid and makes all the difference in creating a memorable experience. I have to comment too on the people that complain about service . My advice, give them grace and there are plenty of patrons that could simply learn to be patient. This isn't a fastfood establishment. St Louis Tearoom is a truly wonderful experience and anyone would really be missing out to not come and enjoy it for themselves.

I have recently visited the St. Louis Tearoom with a small group of friends. We absolutely LOVED it!!! Where else do you get a poem or a short story read to you while you eat? It was my friends birthday, and not to ruin the surprise, she got a decadent gift in her beverage. The tearoom is a place of serenity where you can block out the rest of your busy life and enjoy the moment with friends and tea. I highly recommend patronizing this establishment!!!!!!!

I had been there several times only because the food was so good. The service was terrible but I was hoping it would get better. The last time I went there, I was left standing in the front area waiting for a table. The older woman (who usually gives the lousy service) saw me, caught my eye and then proceded to begin to read a poem to the diners already seated. No one else came to see if there was anyone waiting and so I decided to leave. Everytime I was there before, I had to wait to be seated (even if the place is almost empty) There is never anyone in the front area to see if anyone comes in for a table. Such a shame because I love the food.
