Amelia's is housed in an 1844 home located on Main Street in historical Mullica Hill.We serve full lunch as well as afternoon tea Tuesday through Sunday. Our tea served is loose leaf tea, with over 45 varieties to choose from. Our afternoon tea consists of seasonal tea sandwiches, scones, tea bread, and miniature desserts on three tiered dishes; all our food is homemade in our kitchen. Adjoining the tea room is a gift shop filled with many tea items for sale as well as all of our loose teas. The tearoom's elegance and intimacy provide the perfect setting for all your special occasions including showers, children's birthday parties, holiday events or any other occasion you have to celebrate. Catering is available as well either for take out or at your location. Reservations are recommended, as we tend to fill quickly. A HUGE thank you to all our customers who voted and won us the honor of 'THE BEST OF GLOUCESTER COUNTY 2009 and 2010'

I had heard lots of good things about this tea room but was very disappointed when I celebrated my anniversary there with my husband the tea sandwiches were not fresh very soggy and squashed and the mini desserts were nothing special at all thought it was very expensive for what we got we definately will not be going back.

I was impressed by the fact that they used loose teas and the immense selection. I am a bit of a tea snob thanks to my husband. It was a lovely setting in a Victorian house. Intimate without the feeling that you were sitting on the lap of a stranger. Enjoyed the tea (& the teapot), the sandwiches and bite size desserts. My eyes were bigger than my stomach and I should have ordered something smaller than the Queens tea option. My husband was happy to dig into my take home bag though.

Amelia's has been a favorite of mine for years, and now I am so enjoying sharing this wonderful experience with my young grandchildren. They are served a special Princess Tea with little teapots just their size, and are gently instructed by the gracious server in safe pouring techniques (they chose pink lemonade) while Grammy enjoyed orange spice last week. The tea selection is outstanding, the water temperature is always perfect, and the food is absolutely lovely! Tomato basil soup, chicken salad, egg salad, quiche, are all so good!!!!My daughters bridesmaid luncheon was a very special affair there, and every time I look over at that larger table, I have sweet memories!

We love going to Amelia's tea house with our two little girls. They have the best time there. There is a wide variety of teas and they are all brewed to perfection! The service is outstanding. The tomato bisque soup is our favorite. We try to go twice a month to visit our friends at Amelia's tea house. It's such a wonderful experience. Every time we leave we all have a big smile on our faces. Thank you to the staff for being so amazing!!!

What a wonderful tea room!! I visited Amelia's with friends, and we were greeted by warm, inviting staff, the room beautifully decorated with lovely teapots on display. Our server explained all the teas to us and we each chose a different one. The tea selection was extensive, our teas were brewed perfectly. The food arrived on a beautiful tiered tray for each of us, and was fresh, and delicious. The chicken salad was the best I have even had, and the desserts were adorable, my favorite was the strawberry mousse flowerpot! I have already made plans to return.

This was a beautiful classic tea. We brought the grandaughters here for their first real tea. Everyone loved it. The atmosphere is perfect, like stepping through an Alice looking glass. The food was wonderful as was the tea.

I have been to Amelia's Teas & Holly twice this month now; once for my birthday with my sister treating and once for our wedding anniversary with my husband. These were our first visits to this wonderful Victorian establishment. Our chairs were so comfortable and relaxing, and the atmosphere so calming that we didn't want to leave. The loose leaf teas and the presentation of sandwiches and treats were truly outstanding. Pots of tea were very large and the Winter Mint and Winter Palace Marzipan teas were steeped perfectly. I wound up buying both on our way home. They were out of this world. Six varieties of generous and well-filled tea sandwiches were served, one more delicious than the next. The cranberry orange scones and tea breads served with clotted cream and jam were divine as were the sweet tea treats. A large, fresh orange wedge and pineapple chunks were also served. We thought the tomato basil soup was the best and creamiest we've ever tasted, and the vegetable and spinach quiches were absolutely wonderful. Everything is homemade and you can taste it. Our server was a lovely woman named Gemma. She was very friendly and accommodating, and you could tell that she really enjoys working there. We have left other tearooms still feeling hungry...not so here! We have decided to frequent Amelia's as our only tearoom in the future for its wonderful and delicious food, great ambiance, comfortable seating, calming atmosphere, and friendly staff. It was also a pleasure speaking with Bonnie, one of the two sisters who own Amelia's.

A friend of mine told me about Amelia's Teas & Holly and said how nice it was so I decided to take a friend there over the weekend and all I can say is WOW! We ordered the Queen's Tea, what a beautiful presentation. The quiche was outstanding as well as the assorted tea sandwiches and the desserts you could tell, all homemade, and just absolutely delicious. I didn't want to leave. They have a great selection of retail products like tea pots and different kinds of tea and they even have a Christmas section with lovely holiday tea pots!! The staff was great, server was very friendly and the food was excellent. I already made a reservation for one of their upcoming events in December. If you've not had the pleasure to visit this tea room yet, please please wait no longer, you will love it:)

I've been frequenting Amelia's Teas & Holly for the past 4 years because I love it so much. The victorian style atmosphere immediately puts a smile on my face. The food is so fresh and wonderful, my favorites are the quiche, chicken salad and the homemade desserts, who am I kidding, I love ALL the food! You're made to feel like family during your visit, the service is excellent, not intrusive like some places I frequent, it's just right. Lovely music in the background is very soothing and my absolute favorite tea that I now cannot live without, Winter Palace Marzipan, it's out of this world. Thank you ladies for a truly wonderful experience each and every time I visit.

Reading all the wonderful reviews I really expected this tea room to be great and i agree it is a very pretty tea room but the food was very disapointing there was plenty of it, it just was that it was not very appealing the tea sandwichs did not look freshly made the bread was squashed and all the contents were coming out the side they were very dried out and the desserts were really nothing special, the quiche was good and the service was good but most of the food we did'nt eat I would not come back again, I have been to many many tea rooms and for the price of $50.00 for afternoon tea for the two of us I think i would go somewhere else next time. Also just a note the purfume worn by the waitress should not over power the smell of the food that you are being served.

My daughter and I enjoyed our second visit to Amelia's Teas & Holly and once again we were delighted. We chose the queen's tea and enjoyed a delicious variety of tea sandwiches, vegetable quiche, fruit, and miniature desserts beautifully arranged on a three tier serving plate. Also included was the best tomato soup I have ever tasted. The tea selection is amazing. I highly recommend the angel's dream. We plan to return again and again.

This was our first time at Amelia's Teas & Holly and the experience was wonderful. We were treated like queen's! The food and the service were delightful - featuring some unusual flavors and textures. The The peanut butter brownie dessert was the best I have ever had and my daughter loved the white chocolate cup tea cup with mousse. The maple scone was tender and delicious. The blueberry tea was just right! I definitely recommend it!

having been doing tea for about 10 years with my Granddaughter and my family. We have been to every tearoom hotel in Philly. Some in N.E. Philly. Yours is on the top of my list. Loved the little store lots of neat things to buy and I'm not a shopper. The ladies running the place were great. Our waitress couldn't do enough for us. The tea we had good choices the desserts were different. Liked the white chocolate tea cup filled with mousse very different. The tea sandwich's were really good and filled. The atmosphere was perfect. The waitress took a picture of all the family. A great way to celebrate Christmas tea. Will come again.

Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality. When my friend and I walked in the door, we were greeted with such warmth, like old friends. The atmosphere is welcoming and very comfortable. We had the Duchess Tea. Scones, clotted cream and delicious sandwiches, and lots more, reminded me of a Tea I had in London. Great Food, Great Service, no one rushed us. It really was the best. Thank you, we will be back again very soon.

I had the pleasure of bringing two of my dearest friends for afternoon tea, and could not say enough about Amelia's. The food was so delicious, as was the tea. The service was excellent and I can't wait to revisit this wonderful tea house. My friend and I have been to many teahouses and this is by far, the best overall. My one friend had never been to tea before, and I am so glad I found Amelia's for her first tea experience. Oh, my. My sister-friend &I played hooky on Wednesday. We found this tea room while actually looking for another one. OH,MY!!! What lovely,COMFORTABLE chairs, nice setting, interesting things on walls and shelves to look at, but not cluttered! The tea selection is one of the best I've ever seen--and they actually had everything we asked about, which is somewhat unusual. Very impressed by Royal Bengal Tiger-black, rich, fruity, lotsa staying power. Would make a good iced tea, too. Food was plentiful, nicely presented.. We could substitute salmon (which I don't like) for ham rollup with no problem. The raisin scones are to DROOL over!!!!!I wish I'd brought a few home. The minicarrot cake was delicious. You can even get the teas to go--nicely packaged, double cupped to stay hot. Amelia's is up for a 'Best of Gloucester County' award, and it's easy to see why. Amelia, I'll be back, and I'll be bringing friends!

This is a lovely little tea room. The ambience is wonderful--beautiful and very comfortable chairs surround elegant tables; lace curtains adorn large, sunny windows; and beautiful teapot collections strategically placed on the walls provide visual interest without being too cluttered. I also like the fact that the little gift shop is separate from the tea rooms so as not to crowd patrons. The food was excellent--nice variety of flavors and textures. I especially loved the sweets offered--the dark chocolate truffle was divine, as was the luscious almond square--fabulous! The tea sandwiches were very good, though I would have preferred the egg salad with pimento on a softer bread rather than a hard toasted bread. The strawberry scone was crumbly but good, especially with the accompanying almond cream and strawberry preserves. We loved the tea selection. In conclusion, our server was very pleasant. We hope to return soon for another delightful afternoon if we are in the area.

      Tearoom response:

First and foremost, we are sorry that you were made to feel this way. This is extremely distressing to hear; all of us take pride in our treatment and care of our customers as this is our primary concern. No one here would intentionally hurt our customers so I must believe this is quite a misunderstanding that must be rectified immediately. Unless we are informed as to what happened, we cannot confront the problem. Please, please call us so we can understand what happened as this is very upsetting to us all.
Since I have had tea here before, was greatly surprised of my next experience. Reservations were made six weeks prior - requested that all members of my party be seated together. Left several phone calls two days before tea; never received phone call back. Our group did not seat together, service was rushed and sandwiches were stale. Needless to say, It was not the pleasant afternoon that our group shares once a year.....

      Tearoom response:

      Dear Rosalie,

I am so sorry to hear that you were disappointed yesterday. Before you arrived, I spoke with several members of your party and was told that they didn’t need to be at the same table because everyone likes each other and would have no problem sitting separately. Also, after you arrived, I recall having a conversation with you and offering to put tables together for your group. However, you said that it would be okay, your group would play “musical chairs”. As to the phone calls, I told you in our conversation, that our phone lines had been down and we did try calling you but the phone number we were given was an incorrect number. I wish you would have spoken up during our initial conversation, especially since the rest of your group seemed to be having such a great time and enjoying their meals. We can’t be aware of any problems unless they are brought to our attention. Lastly, the sandwiches are made fresh every day so I am at a loss to explain why you felt they were stale. Our customers are very important to us and we strive to take care of our customers needs. I would be happy to speak with you further about your experience so that this does not occur again.
Living in the DC area, I have been to some of the nicest tea rooms our country has to offer, however none of these establishments come close to offering the ambiance, exceptional service, menu options and atmosphere at Amelia's Teas and Holly Teahouse! I joined my mother and toddler daughter for lunch there this week. My white peony hot tea and my mother's iced tea were both served in gorgeous tea kettles, the classical music playing and delicious sandwiches and sweets made it an afternoon we won't soon forget! My toddler even had a wonderful time - they were so accomodating! The atmosphere was charming and extremely relaxing. I felt like I could just take a deep breath - and being a mother that doesn't happen too often while eating out. I didn't want the afternoon to end. We look forward to having lunch at Amelia's Teas and Holly Teahouse everytime I am back in the area! Thank you ladies for a very special afternoon.

From the time I stepped into Amelia's Tea and Holly, I felt as if I had taken a trip back in time. The atmosphere is so charming and relaxing. The service is excellent. The food is delicious. My favorite is the tomato basil soup. I loved that each tea pot is different. This is the best tea house I've ever been to.

I hosted my daughter's baby shower at Amelia's and I can't thank you all for a more perfect day! The food was so delicious, the people most attentive to all my guests. All our needs were tended to from the minute we stepped in the door. I would recommend this tea room for any special occasion; it CANNOT be beat! Just beautiful! Bobbi

What a great experience! This was my first time at Amelia's and definitely will not be my last. From the minute you walk in you feel all your troubles leave. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the chairs are so comfy. The food was delicious - you could tell everything was freshly made today. And the soup was the best I have ever tasted. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more attentive. I highly recommend a visit to Amelia's.

My family and I just loved the tea house. It was quaint and the tea selection was astounding as well as outstanding. We all sampled each other’s tea as there was so much to go around. The tea sandwiches and dessert was delicious. We were fortunate enough to have been there during the Christmas season to hear the beautiful live harp in the background. We highly recommend Amelia’s and will definitely return.

I'm a regular there...I recommend the Dutchess for first timers. It has all those cute little sandwhiches and fruit and desserts. It also comes with a pot of tea. I love the music they play and then you can walk through the stores and the other stores in town.

What a welcome oasis in my hectic world! A wonderful place to sit and chat with friends and not feel rushed. We have such a great time choosing new teas each time we go from the large variety of teas offered. The food is all freshly prepared and delicious. The presentation entices you to really indulge. The service has been excellent on all my visits. You can tell upon entering how much care was taken in selecting the furnishings (especially the chairs!) to make this tea room such a charming spot. Highly recommend a visit.

What a beautiful tea room! The owners have taken great pains to provide an authentic Victorian tea room experience. We've been to Amelia's for large parties and for smaller, intimate lunches. Each and every time the owners and servers have been very friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent (you have to try the tomato bisque soup!) and the variety of teas to choose from is overwhelming! The tea shop and Christmas shop are adorable. We always find something wonderful to purchase and we look forward to visiting Amelia's again and again.

We're tearoom hunters and this little treasure was a special find. We ordered two 'Queens' for the adults and two of the 'Dutchess' for the the young ladies in our party. Tea was wonderful, food even better. The day we arrived had tomato cream soup on the menu. Decor was lovely, and the chairs were oh, so comfy. I would say this tearoom is formal, however not stuffy at all. Casual dress was fine as many customers were shopping for antiques in the area. Parking lot is tricky, may be best to park on the street out front.

The afternoon tea is always wonderful. The scones are homemade and served warm. They offer a wonderful children's tea that is served in juvenile tea pots filled with warm chocolate milk and PB&J sandwiches...my granddaughter prefers grilled cheese sandwiches and they were quick to oblige us...how's that for great service!

One of my favorite places to 'Take Tea' and I brought a newbie along. My friend was so impressed with first the victorian atmosphere of the tearoom itself and the art of tea presentation. We enjoyed the Queens Tea (which allowed many leftovers to take home). The hostess was both friendly and helpful in presenting our lunch options. We never felt rushed-in fact we lingered with our tea for quite a time after lunch was finished. A wonderful afternoon where we felt welcomed and pampered. Thanks Amelia's we'll be back!!

My husband and I enjoy visiting tea rooms and since it was my birthday, I asked him to take me to some new tea rooms as a way to celebrate and Amelia's was one of my choices. When we walked into the tea room we were very cordially welcomed and to me that's when my first impression starts. The rooms and tables are decorated beautifully in a Victorian style and the chairs are so comfortable. Our Queen's Tea, including soup, tea sandwiches, scones, desserts and of course a pot of tea was delicious. When they found out that it was my birthday, they presented me with a teapot ornament as a remembrance of a wonderful day. Amelia's is on our list of return to Tea Room's and bring a friend.

After reading the reviews my daughter and I were excited about visiting Amelia for lunch. We were very impressed with the tea room decor. However, we felt that the Dutchess Tea was over price for what we received. Our soup was very salty. We felt the presentation of the tea sandwiches did not live up to the review and were very skimpy. It may of been an off morning however, we will give it another try.

This is by far the nicest Tearoom my sister and I have visted. We make it a point to have tea together every month and we found Amelia's on the tea website and could not believe that such a gem was in our own backyard. I am planning to go again and have invited my Mother-in-law who is flying in from Califa. for a girl's day out. The service and tea were wonderful and it was by far the prettest place we have ever been. You must go.
