Having visited this tea room in March, we enjoyed their Irish themed menu which included an Irish Blend tea with the meal. They offer a new themed menu each month. The tea selection is limited to what they are serving that day. The tea room is beautiful, the Luncheon Tea menu was presented well, and included a nice variety of flavors and tastes. Our group enjoyed the afternoon at Greentree.

Love this place! The food is delicious, and the service impeccable. Their scones are to die for. We try to go every month, as the menu changes.

Greentree is THE Lexington tea room with real Southern hospitality and a charming feel of the Bluegrass. My daughter and I treat ourselves regularly and are never disappointed. They always offer my avid vegetarian a wonderful entree option if necessary and the service is impeccable. Lovely and a delight always.

My wife and I were looking forward to starting off our exploration of Lexington with a stop at Greentree. From the online description, the place sounded right up our alley. When we got there, we found a cute tea room with ample parking, not far from downtown. However, there seemed to be a lot of commotion. Apparently there was a large group that had arrived there before us. Because of this, we were ignored by the staff and after 30 minutes of not being able to get anyone to talk to us, we got up and left. It was very disappointing. From what we could see on other people's tables the food was well presented and those who were eating it seemed pleased. I am not likely to give it a second chance, but I'm sure that this place has some potential.

The only suggestion I can make to Greentree is to add a small selection of teas. One featured tea is usually served and there are no addt'l varieties advertised.. Otherwise, Greentree is the best tea room I've been to in KY since the tea room in Perrysville closed down ; (

We have been going to Green Tree Tea Room once a month since it opened. We absolutely love it. The tea is delicious, the food is OUTSTANDING and the service is perfect. They frequently have vegetarian entrees. There is always a fantastic soup, light and delicious scone with a curd or jam and Fayette crea. Then the entree which is always unique. Following that is the serve yourself sandwich and dessert table. 3 choices of sandwiches, and 3 desserts. The atmosphere is serene and there are always fresh flower on the table. You have to try it if you love afternoon tea!

Our afternoon tea had a charming setting, lovely food displays, good service. February desserts were a little unimaginative and average. The menu changes every month. You need reservations. It's worth the trip.

Greentree offers delicious food. The tea rooms are elegant. The servers only add to the elegance .

Each month offers a different tea, but another is available upon request. I do not care for Earl Grey tea.

The Greentree Tea Room is a treat. We try to go every month, since their menu changes monthly, as does the tea. They only offer one kind of tea each month, but it is always an excellent loose leaf variety, usually organic. You can also bring your own tea and request a pot of hot water. The menu offered is very substantial, and satisfies even my husband's appetite. They start out with soup, then move on to one of my favorite things--scones. I've had scones both in the United States and Europe, and these are some of the best I've ever had. Then there is an entree, beautifully served on the plate. Next there is a buffet of several different tea sandwiches, and several delicious desserts. One of the owners usually circulates personally to make sure everyone is enjoying the meal. The staff are attentive and friendly. If you go to Greentree, expect a relaxing, pampering experience in an elegant atmosphere.

I was very disappointed with my first and only visit to Greentea. The tea was Darjeeling which is one of my favorites but this one was bitter and weak. For what was served it was overpriced at $20. FYI - a biscuit is NOT a scone. The waiters were very nice and the chilled fruit soup was great but overall it's not worth the price.

I have been there several times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the food superb! I will be returning many more times.
