In two words: ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!Had this been my first tea room experience, I don't think I'd ever try another.Definitely not worth the 66 miles and 1/4 tank of gas.On a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being poorest,I'd rate them as a -7.The 'fresh' food, cheese and fruit, looked like they were pulled from a buffet that was over 3 days ago.Strawberries had soft brown, over ripe spots, pineapple pieces were either dark and shriveled, or parts of the core. Way too many sweets, small cupcakes with white icing and blue sprinkles.. um did you pick these up at a food lion? Mini sandwiches were so-so. Egg salad was runny with mayo, cucumber sandwich..was on 'crusty' white bread...altho minus the crusts. The waitress' finger nails were dirty and she couldn't explain the foods on the trays. She made a comment,'oh you'll figure it out'.The waitress came to our table with a purell bottle and cleaned her hands in front of us at the table. Hands, not fingernails...try some running water next time. Not to mention that her black uniform was dirty. There was a wet/musty smell that got worse when the a/c turned off. The only decent part of this fiasco, was the tea. Although good, was disappointed that it was only Harney & Son tea offered (bagged tea) and they were out of many of the flavors they 'usually have'. Oh, and the price? Way too much..$18.99 became $23.xx with tax and added 20% gratuity. Yes, THEY ADDED the 20%.The waitress seemed surprised that we didn't want to take the two tiers of sweets home.Oh please,we had put ourselves through enough gastrointestinal disappointment and distress. The tea 'room' was actually part of the restaurant that was separated by an accordian-folding type of divider.

I loved my afternoon tea at Cozy's. The scone was one of the best I've ever had and the soup was delicious. The Harney tea's are such good quality. I would definetly return.

Knowing the Cozy as a country-style family restaurant, we were not sure what our tea experience would be life. We were very pleasantly suprised. The tearoom is set apart from the rest of the restaurant, and decorated in a kind of vintage cottage style - a comfortable elegance. The selection of Harney & Sons teas included herbal, green and black teas. Full tea started with a small salad, followed by berry scones right out of the oven and clotted cream - they were light and delicious. Sparkling pear juice was served in champagne flutes to cleans the palate. The tiered server included lovely savories - light on the bread - including crab puffs, a ham and cream cheese roll, fruit & cheese, and tiny lemon meringue pies, cheesecakes and petite-fores. The tea was finished with a berry trifle. The food was delicious, presentation was lovely and we had excellent, attentive service. It was a bit of a drive from Montgomery County, but the combination of the beautiful ride through the country and the lovely tea proved to be a delightful respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I am definately going to return.

I did not realize until lately that Cozy Restaurant in Thurmnont had a tea room. I picked up the brochure while dining there with my husband and booked a tea. The ambience of Cozy's Tea room was very relaxing and also includeded a pituresque view of the pond. Harney Tea was served with a large selection. The aspargus lemon soup was very tasteful and unique. The amount of savories were very generous compared to other tea rooms I have visited. Cozy's Tea room was a delightful treat.

My friends and I have visited Cozy Tea Room twice now and both times we left with a feeling of having spent of the best times in our lives together. The atmosphere was charming, the service was excellent, the food was abundant and very well prepared, and they went out of their way to make us comfortable. I would recommend this tea room to everyone.

Cozy's Tea Room offers a really nice young girl's birthday tea--my daughter had her 10 yr birthday 'Tea Party'at Cozy and the staff did a little speech about the proper 'Etiquette' . I was very pleased with the whole experience..
