I have been to Wisdom Tea House numerous times and they do not disappoint. I recently took my 88 year old aunt for her birthday and was concerned about her being able to conquer the stairs if there were no seating on the lower level. But it was such a lovely day that we sat outside and the flowers outside were beautiful creating a cheerful atmosphere. The each got salads and they were fantastic. They offer a nice variety of teas and desserts and they have a number of gluten free items on the menu. The building is quaint and features art from local artists. My aunt and I labored over which tea cups to pick and when the owner found out we were celebrating a birthday, he told my aunt to pick a packet of tea as a gift. All in all, it was the perfect birthday treat!

This is one of my favorite tea houses to visit. The atmosphere is warm and friendly with many different seating options, the food is always excellent, and the tea is delicious. I love having a tea house that caters to everyday customers and is not only available for parties and events.

The last time I went and the reason it was the last was because they added ham into menu items where it wasn't listed as ingredients. i cannot have ham. When mentioned, they didnt know it was put in there except for the owner. This tea house does not cater to haivng young girl scouts or birthday parties so don't count on bringing kids... I really wish it would accomadate them and have better menu items and care... I was really ecited when they moved into monument....

      Tearoom response:

Hi Mimi,<BR> Sorry you did not know there was ham in a menu item. Our menu lists the ingredients of all menu items. I'm sorry our staff member was not knowledgeable. We train our staff to know the menu items and ingredients. Regarding having young girl scouts or kids' birthday parties, we have chosen to cater to our loyal adult clientele and have made the tea house an adult retreat. The tea house ambiance, antique furniture and antique china are more suitable for our adult customers. Thanks again for your comment.

This is a fabulous place located in a quaint little town just off the interstate. Wisdom has a variety of teas, and will let you smell before you choose. You choose your own tea cup when entering the shop, so dainty English china to the most robust American style huge mug can be found. The food is all freshly prepared and real - nothing frozen just great soups, sandwiches, quiche and desserts. They also serve high tea with a reservation and have a special Christmas tea with crackers. Overall a lovely place in a historic house. Patio is nice when it is warmer and the parlor style area is fantastic to curl up with a great read and a cuppa.

I sell tea for a living and Wisdom Tea House is doing it right! Everytime I think of their Chai I want to make the 20 minute drive. The owners are awesome and it is always a pleasant experience. It is a quaint modern space with ART on the walls that you can purchase. They have music on the patio some evenings too! I tell everyone I know that loves to to check out Wisdom Tea House!

Visited for the first time recently on a Saturday and it was disappointing at best. Our friends highly recommended it and were so embarrassed by the unexpected outcome. Extreme delays in receiving our food only to have it delivered incorrectly (2 of 4 meals) and THEN have it brought back a 2nd time incorrect; we were both worn and out of time and received it as delivered. All four persons agreed, it was as though we experienced, live, a 'How Not To' run a teahouse drama unfolding. Sent follow up email to management only to receive a 'yes, we indeed had compounded staff problems that day and should have done better' response. Thanks for the first and last visit.

One of the best ones I have been to. What I loved was the big collection of tea cups and saucers that you got to chose which you wanted to drink tea from. Also enjoyed the timers.

I took my daughter here for her very first tea outing and we had such a nice time. The service we received was excellent! They had a wonderful selection of teas to choose from and the food was very good. We especially enjoyed the tea infused truffles and scones. The atmosphere was not a traditional tea setting, but it was still very nice. I especially appreciated the personal interest they took in making my daughter feel special. I will definatly be returning!

One of the most pleasant tea experiences we have had. A great addition to Monument cuisine - and the Colorado Springs area. Can hardly wait to get back. Debbi Jahaaski
