Wonderful experience from the food to the home itself that is rich with history. Your group would have a magical time celebrating any occasion at Promont for an afternoon of high tea and Victorian nostalgia.

We took our Chop Ladies Ministry to the Promont House for a Tea Party! We were very excited and never been to tea parties not sure of what to expect. Everything from the tea to the beautiful fresh cut flowers to the table setting, the service and tour. Everything went way beyond our expectations. We were very impressed. The food was so delicious and pretty. We really felt like royalty. Mary Ann and the wonderful team at the Promont House were so awesome. Their hospitality was wonderful. A very memorable event for all of us! Thanks again! We will be back!

Mary Ann, Just a note to let you know how wonderful the tea was today. The food was delicious and the service exceptional. The table and room were decorated so cute. I know Gerry really enjoyed herself. It was a real treat to be surrounded by the history of Promont and relax in its beauty. Thank you for your efforts. It was a delight. Barb

Promont House is really special and having the tea there was just wonderful. The volunteers who prepared, served, and gave us a tour, made the event so nice. The foods served at the tea were so delicious. Celebrating the 80th year of the Williamsburg Garden Club at Promont House was a great day of new memories while learning about the past. Thank you to all who made this possible. Shirley Ogden Williamsburg Garden Club

Friends and I recently enjoyed tea and a tour at Promont. The ginger peach tea was very good and the food was delicious. Mary Ann and the rest of the staff was very friendly and their service was excellent. The house itself is just beautiful and a wonderful place to spend an afternoon! We all look forward to visiting again.

The Sunrise Landing Garden Club enjoyed their recent elegantly served tea and tour of the Promont and we would rate EVERYTHING about our visit with highest marks. The lovely china, silver and crystal invited us to linger under a glistened chandelier while marveling at all the detailed beauty of the dining room. The serving of delicate tea sandwiches with the fine touch of a cluster of mint, rosemary and tea roses, tender and warm scones with clotted cream, fruit and sweets served with delicious hot peach tea, served in delicate vintage cups, made our luncheon a one-of-a-kind experience. Mary Ann, Tea Coordinator, was personable and helpful from the first contact to the last goodbye seeing that every detail was to our liking. Her gracious manner added so much to the atmosphere and you could sense that she takes pride and pleasure in every detail. Sue's interesting tour of the home was mixed with just the right dose of humor. She was knowledgeable in regard to the various time periods and the families that had once called The Promont 'home'. The experience brought alive a glimpse from the past, and we left with a renewed appreciation for the history that is being preserved in the home and also for the volunteer efforts of the Milford Historical Society and the dedication in preserving it's valuable history and memory.

If there was an 'excellent plus' rating, I would give it to Mary Ann and the wonderful team at the Promont House Museum. Their hospitality and generosity made my niece's Bridal Shower a lovely and memorable event for our family and guests! We thoroughly enjoyed the venue, the staff, and - of course - the wonderful menu they created for us. Our teacups were kept filled with aromatic ginger peach tea. They were even able to accommodate last-minute food allergy issues! (When you come, be sure to order the asparagus hors d'oeuvre. Yum!) The location is simply beautiful. The home is situated on top of a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding region. On the interior, stately rooms resonate with historical beauty - and we were given a tour of all three floors! From the set-up of the rooms right through to the final clean-up and exit, the Promont House Museum team made the event a joy for all who attended. Thanks again! We will be back!

I hosted my daughters Bridal High Tea on Sat. 4/23/16. Itwas absolutely beautiful. We had 20 in attendance. We started in the formal dining room to toast the bride. Fresh flowers were placed on the table with a sterling silver punch bowl for us to use. We then went into the parlor where the tables were beautifully decorated with vintage linens, and china. Again the centerpieces were of fresh flowers. The bride and her bridesmaids were placed at a table in the front of the room. The other tables were placed so to have plenty of room to walk around and visit. The chairs had bows or chair covers on them. The food was fabulous! Mary Ann gave me lots of things to pick from when we were in the planning stages. First there was fruit , then finger sandwiches, scones with cream (they were wonderful) and the last was the dessert. You could put 3 of each on your plate and if you wanted more they would serve extras. The tea was ginger peach which tasted wonderful.. We were never rushed and had plenty of time for gifts and visiting. Sue gave us a very informative tour of the house. My 7 year old granddaughter learned so much from the tour. All the ladies are so knowledgeable and fantastic at making everyone feel welcome. I definitely recommend the Promont House for anyone planning a special gathering. It is absolutely beautiful!

Variety, Artistry, Service, Food: All Excellent The women in my Washington Township/Centerville neighborhood recently chose to celebrate spring by driving to Milford's Promont House for our every-other-month luncheon get-together. The experience was certainly worth the trip! This lovely house is a Victorian restored and maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers. The docent-led and included tour was conducted by a lady who was knowledgeable, humorous, and obviously dedicated to the longevity of this local treasure. The tea itself was a total delight. Freshly brewed tea is served, of course, and the courses are numerous with generous portions served. I especially enjoyed the broccoli quiche, cucumber sandwiches, fresh-baked fruit scones (clotted cream and tasty marmalade!), and every morsel of three divine desserts-superb and all homemade. All this and a wonderful gift shop, too! These volunteers are incredible. I certainly recommend this experience to all in the Cincinnati area and to those within driving distance of this Southwest Ohio gem. Sandra Surface

My neighbors and I just visited Promont House Museum of Milford, OH for a tea and house tour. We enjoyed every aspect of the event and it was well worth the cost! First the house: the bones of the house and the furnishings have been well preserved and the tour leader was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the house, it's past and current furnishings, and the prior residents and the lifestyles of those inhabitants. Such enlightment! Secondly, the tea service was impeccable and each food item was fresh and very tasty with ample amounts provided. If asked to name my favorite selections, I would say the quiche, scone, and white chocolate truffle! Finally, the staff, all volunteers, was most accommodating, polite, and helpful. Visit, you'll be pleased.

I recently hosted my sister's bridal shower at The Promont House Museum. Everyone had such a wonderful time. We started out with mimosas in the formal dining room of the house. We provided the mimosas but they provided the table, set up beautifully with ice bucket, champagne glasses, flowers, and cloth napkins. Then we moved on to tea. The Ashby's of London Ginger Peach tea was delicious and everyone had several cups. The food was also delicious, we especially enjoyed the Chicken Salad on cinnamon swirl bread, scones, and desserts. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was full after our meal. The atmosphere was that of a formal tea- the house is beautiful, the table settings perfect. We felt like we had stepped back in time! Mary Ann, Sue, and the other staff were so very nice and sweet. They made us feel so welcome and helped us with anything we needed. We had plenty of time to do gifts and a couple games, and Sue told us not to rush and to take our time and relax. Sue gave us a tour of the house after the shower, which was very interesting. This was my first time at Promont but definitely not my last! I have plenty of bridal showers and baby showers to host in the future!

This is a wonderful place for tea! The house is beautifully decorated and after a scrumptious and filling tea, you receive a guided tour and narrative tour of the mansion. The food is prepared specially by Mary Ann and everything was delicious! Mary Ann and the other ladies go out of their way to ensure that each guest feels welcome and has an enjoyable afternoon of tea! The Promont House is truly a jewel in this area offering so much to the history of the area as well as our State. I've already made reservations for the Christmas Tea! We had a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon having tea and a tour of Promont House Museum. The Ginger Peach tea was delicious and the various sandwiches (chicken salad on cinnamon swirl bread, grilled pineapple with cheddar filling and bacon topping, cucumber tomato basil on white bread), scones (cranberry orange white chocolate, strawberry bread with Devon cream), sweets (mini brownie, lemon curd tarts, Mexican cookie), and fruit kabob were equally delicious. The hosts were friendly and we enjoyed learning about the history of Promont House. I highly recommend this tea event. We may come back for the Christmas holiday season to enjoy another tea and the decorated house.

Tables covered with lovely embroidered linens, beautiful crystal, silver and china place settings awaited our arrival for an afternoon tea luncheon in late January. Ashby's of London Christmas Spice Tea was a served throughout our visit. Our meal featured a creamy tomato basil bisque, a salad of the freshest greens topped with grilled pineapple fans, blueberries and sliced avocado and quiche. A variety of delectable mini desserts completed the meal. Our hosts truly made us feel welcome during our tea luncheon and the fascinating tour of the Promont House.

Our club came in early January to enjoy a luncheon and tour. The House was still decorated beautifully for Christmas. Mary Ann was responsible for a delicious luncheon highlighted by a wonderful tomato bisque soup. We had Ashby's Christmas Spice tea in always full tea cups. After we ate, we took an informative tour of the House with Sue who able to not only tell us the history of the House and the people who had lived there, but made us see in our mind's eyes the Victorian era in which the House was built.

We enjoyed a formal, yet relaxed, atmosphere in the dining room, for our tea/luncheon. Mary Ann and Sue were very knowledgeable and shared a lot about the furniture and dinnerware we were using. I was having a small wedding of 30 guests, and wanted something special and very elegant, and chose the Promont House, and couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. They have several packages available for weddings, and the planner I worked with was amazing and greatly reduced my anxiety and helped me plan a superb sit down dinner for my guests after we were married outside at the gazebo. She even helped us decorate, and coordinated with the caterer and bakery! If you are looking for a venue that is very special, unique and absolutely beautiful, you can't go wrong! You can even have a dance outside, if you so choose! Our fall wedding was absolutely stunning! Thank you to everyone who made this such a special day for us!

From the Tea Coordinator, Mary Ann, who helped us choose the menu to fit our tastes, to all of the volunteers that waited on us that day, it just couldnt have gone any smoother. The Victorian setting at the museum is just gorgeous and they supply all of linen, china, glasses and even fresh flower centerpieces. It made my job so easy in that I just showed up with our guests and could really relax and enjoy the day. Mary Ann, Sue and All, Thank you, thank you for a beautiful day! The tea/bridal shower was the first official event to kickoff the parties for my niece's wedding and it could not have been nicer. Your attention to details, from the personalized menu (working patiently with me virtually), the lemon tart with delectable crust and hint of mint, ginger and peach teas, to the fabulous finger sandwiches, and fresh flower arrangements on each table in the BEAUTIFUL setting was breathtaking. Using the formal dining room to greet our guests with fine crystal Champaign flutes for our mimosa's was a great idea! Some had traveled a bit to get there and it felt good to move freely about looking at the exquisite décor before having our luncheon. Thank you also for dressing a lovely gift table and thinking to decorate a special table for the bride-to-be and her girls in the wedding party. Our party of 20 enjoyed the tour, the food. Because of everything far surpassing my expectations from beautifully set tables, and the hospitality of the volunteers as servers and docents... right down to those lovely started linen aprons(!) has me already thinking about a Christmas tea for my family and friends! If you are looking for an exquisite, intimate, ladylike venue for your bridal or baby shower, I urge you to book the Promont House. Mary Ann is a masterful party planner and caterer. The tea I held for my sister's bridal shower was beyond all expectations. Thanks to a wonderful cast of volunteers the atmosphere at Prompt is bright, gorgeous and welcoming. Rather than feeling like a guest in a museum you get to be a lady of the house for the afternoon. Our event was flawlessly executed, the food was delish, and the docent-led tour at the end was rich with fresh, interesting perspective on our local heritage and founding families. Its not to be missed. Promont House is a hidden gem if there ever was one. While the tea was tasty, the food was delicious and very elegantly presented. The servers were gracious, the decorations were very pretty, and the tour of the museum was enjoyed by all. We're ready to plan our next event. Thanks to Mary Ann, the Tea Coordinator, who was friendly and so easy to do business with!

Our tea at Promont House yesterday was absolutely wonderful. Mary Ann and the other volunteers were very gracious and went out of their way to make us welcome. The food was beautifully presented and so delicious. The house tour was an added bonus. It is easy to see why this tea room is ranked #1 in Ohio. They really know how to do things right! We want to make Christmas Tea at Promont House an annual event.

I had the great fortune of enjoying my bridal shower at the Promont House. Not only is the home gorgeous, but every last detail was attended to, down to the antique napkin monogrammed with my initial! The staff, ambience, beautiful decor..everything was just perfect. I presented a challenge to Mary Ann with my restrictive vegan diet and was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to my own platter of deliciously vegan scones, breads and other tasty hors d'oeuvres. Mary Ann even took the time to sit with me following the event and share her recipes! I was completely blown away by the service, especially given the staff consists mainly, perhaps even 100%, of volunteers. I would HIGHLY recommend holding an event at Promont or joining them for afternoon tea. You won't be disappointed.

If you live in the Cincinnati area or are an out-of-towner wishing to entertain locally, , I highly recommend you consider tea or brunch at beautul Promont. I recently attended a brunch there in an elegant historic house setting at linen covered tables centered with live flower arrangements, and covered with crystal, china and silver settings. Each tea/brunch is uniquely planned and freshly prepared to compliment the occasion. Our brunch began with a colorful cold peach soup accompanied with a pecan shortbread cookie made from fresh peaches and pecans personally selected in Georgia. Our main course served by friendly, crisp white aproned volunteers was a salad of mixed greens, grilled pineapple, avacados, blueberries and a specially made dressing. A delicious turkey-broccoli quiche was attractively garnished on the plate. Dessert was a sweet ending to a memorable occasion. A bottomless cup of peach-giger tea was pooured throughout the meal. Many other delcious teas were availabe for sale in the unique gift shop. Surely this must be one of the most pleasant dining experiences in the area for clubs, brides'luncheons, or other social entertainings in an elegant setting and followed by a docent led tour of the historic home, if desired.

If you enjoy history and love the tea experience, Promont House should be your next tearoom visit! I was blessed to enjoy tea time with my friends last week and was enraptured as soon as I drove up the tree lined lane was welcomed into the front door! Mary Ann and her helpers graciously served us from silver teapots and tiered trays, always attentive to our needs, making us feel pampered. The table was elegant, set with fine china and embroidered vintage tablecloths. The presentation of the food was lovely, as well as delicious, and the portions were generous-well worth the price which included a guided tour of this grand Civil War era Mansion!(The cost of the tea is a fundraiser to help keep this exquisite museum in operation). I have visited several tearooms and this is definately the best in the surrounding area and southern Ohio! Make plans to visit soon, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!

Beyond wonderful setting, service, presentation, food and hospitality - what a jewel! Afternoon Tea at Promont House is everything I love about a tearoom - from the drive up the hill to the stately home, the welcome at the door, a beautifully set table, delicious tea, savories, scones and sweets, attentive service, tasteful gift shop - and then they add the docent tour of the home and its history! I'm making a list of all the other friends I want to take there who will love it too so that I have lots of excuses to go back as soon and as often as possible. P.S. My group of six friends were looking for a place to have tea and discovered Promont House takes smaller groups on days when the 'group size of 10 or more' criteria has already been met - so call them, be flexible and you won't be disappointed!

BRAVO! I have been planning events for fortune 500 companies for over 10 years and am having trouble putting into words what a phenomenal job the Promont House Museum did executing my mom's 65th surprise party. From the time I placed my first call, I was impressed with the professional and pleasant manner in which Mary Ann handled setting up the tea party. She always was prompt with her replies and had excellent recommendations. The day of the party Mary Ann and her tea helpers were a pleasure and the table settings and the decor were beautiful. Not a detail was missed by the Promont House Museum. In addition, the food was fabulous. The scones were delicious and their tuna fish sandwiches were first rate. The timing and service was impeccable. After the tea service was over, the docents did an excellent job giving us a tour of the Promont House. As a history major, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the tour guide that took me around was charming and knowledgeable. I know that I was not the only one that was impressed by the Promont House Tea Party, our guests from the party have been calling all week to tell us what a wonderful time they had at the party and that the Promont House was the perfect place for to celebrate my mom's 65th b-day. Thank you to Mary Ann and all the volunteers at the Promont House to make my mother's 65th b-day a wonderful celebration that we will cherish forever.
