We have been spoiled having such a fabulous tea room so close to home. So deeply saddened that the Lexington Tea House will be closing its doors. There is no replacement for the style, service, and delicious tea fare. Best of luck in your future endeavors and catering plans.

Wonderful selection of high quality teas (Harney & Sons; Metropolitan) on both their menu and in their shop. The food is always stellar and in addition to the house favorites (such as the chicken salads), they also offer special menus & dinners for holidays and other events. Their seasonal soups (such as the pumpkin soup) are out of this world. My mother, sister, and I (and a number of our friends) go there for the monthly Tea Lover's Meetup and always have a wonderful time. The owners are so gracious and welcoming! We've learned so much there, and shared great times over their tea and meals. I wish I lived closer so I could spend more time there, but it's worth the drive!

So happy to see that The Lexington Tea House has achieved the TeaMap number 1 in NC status! Those of us that have had the opportunity to dine there know this status was inevitable. Ken & Ruth (owners) along with Meagan (manager) do an exceptional job of making each visit a rich and memorable experience. Excellent tea selections, world class menu offerings and value pricing make it a 'must' for those looking for unique dining destinations!

My first visit was in August 2011 with a few friends from work and we have come back every month since; sometimes two times a month. The atmosphere is relaxing, service exceptional, and the food! Well, my favorites are the Organic Spring Salad with raspberry dressing and the varieties of quiche. The tea selection is wonderful; Yorkshire Gold stimulating, Darjeeling soothing. All our visits have been enjoyable. See you soon.

We had our first experience at the Lexington Tea House yesterday celebrating our granddaughter's 5th birthday. Of course we had the Princess Tea Party. The girls loved the dressing room with the princess gowns, gloves, and everything else a princess would wear. They loved looking at all of the water features and decorations in the house. Then came tea time. The girls were so excited with their own tea pot and the yummy tea fare. The tea pot birthday cake was wonderful. Our granddaughter and her guests did not want to leave. We all had a wonderful experience. Plans are already in place for a return visit to our granddaughter's now 'favorite place in the world'.

The Lexington Tea House is my very favorite place to dine. Whether for a menu tea fare selection for lunch, or one of their specialty dinners, I always leave looking forward to the next time. The carefully selected cuisine is artfully prepared and presented with an elegance that lifts the spirit. The experience is further enhanced by their large selection of specialty teas, sure to refresh. When I want to be pampered and enjoy an elegant, tasteful, nourishing meal I go to the Lexington Tea House.

I visited the Lexington Tea House this past Saturday for the first time. I am already planning another trip back. I drove about an hour and half to get there but I will do it again in a minute! The tea I had was excellent. The presentation we received with our British Tea was beautiful. Everything I put my hands on was delightfully tasty ! My favorite was the Mayfaire Tea Sandwich. They are orgasmic! I took my daughter who had a wonderful time. She enjoyed her 'Princess Tea' in which devoured in her pearl tiara she got to wear while dining ! The service was excellent. If you have NOT visited The Lexington Tea House yet I have some very sage advice. Stop reading the revues and go! You WILL NOT be dissapointed. My wife and I were forunate enough to discover this Lexington treasure just after Ken and Ruth reopened it a couple of years ago. As a British tea house its focus in on experiencing the best in tea and tea fare offerings. However it is the food and relaxing atmosphere and warmth of the total experience delivered by Ken, Ruth and the entire staff that keeps us going back. 'Mommy, this place is like Mary Poppins, 'Practically perfect in every way!'' I think my 7 year old daughter, Julia, summed it up quite nicely during our recent trip. My husband took us for afternoon tea for my birthday and it was the most perfect way to spend the day. The British tea was as wonderful to taste as it was to see. The light rain falling as we arrived contributed to the feeling that we could actually be heading into a tea room in England and the cottage chic decor made for lovely surroundings. The iced green tea with pineapple was excellent, and I was impressed to find a wonderful selection of Harney & Sons Fine Teas in stock for purchase and on the menu. We had a hot pot of Paris, my favorite tea, as we discovered a new favorite place to be. Thanks for making my birthday such a treat!

Ken and Ruth provided a very memorable day for us and our two 6 year old nieces. I can not say enough good things about the Lexington Tea House. The food and tea were both delightful and well presented. Our neices could not stop thanking us for taking them and look forward to coming back. Thanks again to Ruth and Ken for such a wonderful visit

My wife and I love Savannah, GA. The Lexington Tea House takes us their while staying at home. During the work week I can take a lunch here and feel as if I am being transported further down south. Ken and Ruth (the owners) are great. A must see while visiting Lexington and if you have not been and you are local - put it on your calendar and visit weekly.

I wanted to do something special for my granddaughter's 13th birthday and decided to bring her here with a friend, cousin and aunt. I have never been to a tea room before and didn't really know what to expect. We all got the British Tea and everything was lovely. We were all very full and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was very pleasant and made us feel welcome. My grand-daughter had a wonderful time.

I had an excellent time at The Lexington Tea House. The food was outstanding. I had the British Tea Fare with Peach Ginger tea. The atmosphere was so relaxing and the patio room where I dined was beautiful. The service was attentive and friendly. It was the perfect place for a day out with the gals. ~ Tracy 7/17/10

Great food, great service! Not to be missed are the soups (great broccoli and cheese recipe!), the chicken salad croissants, and the scones. YUM!! The special occasion meals I've had there have been A+. I wish the lamb shepherd's pie and the beef and biscuit from the St. Patrick's Day dinner were available year round, and the Mother's Day brunch french toast was some of the best I've ever had. Thanks, LTH!

I held a bridal shower at this delightful tea house and it was so special! The owners went above and beyond with the delicious food, wonderful tea, and excellent service! The atmosphere and dainty details were perfect additions. All the ladies in attendance are looking forward to returning for lunch and tea soon. I highly recommend the Lexington Tea House for your special event or simply a lunch for two!!

A friend and I made our first of many visits to this delightful tea house. We took tea in the sunny yellow porch after Ken took us on a tour of the house, telling us a little history of the house and letting us choose our tea room from several decors. The food was excellent, abundant and varied. It was more than we could eat. Everything was delicious. The table setting was lovely, with lace, fine china, and even teapot- shaped napkin rings. The owners and staff were so welcoming and gracious. I can't wait to bring other firends!

I love this tea house. My husband and I eat there and there was such an array of food and big portions for my hubby. The tea is Harney and Sons and the selection is out of this world. Top pick for me. Mrs. Natalie Madison and Mr. Andre Rascoe

My sister and I drove an hour to get to the Lexington Tea Room to celebrate my birthday and we were so happy we did! Loved everything from the decor to the owners and waitstaff. I have never experienced so much food for a British Tea, we had to take some home (and purchased extra scones too). The blueberry tea was a real treat. Thank you for making my day extra special!

Our Lexington Red Hat Teddies enjoyed a wonderful tea while participating in 'Mystery of the Roving Romeo.' Ruth and Ken Mace were most accomodating, and they are a wonderful host and hostess. We enjoyed wonderful savories and Iced Blueberry Tea and Hot Paris Tea. This is a wonderful place to schedule your event. They have other plays so we can return to enjoy another tea and play!

      Tearoom response:

Thank you for your positive comments. It was pleasure to host the Red Hat Teddies and provide you with a mystery tea party. It was fun! Please come again soon.

The Lexinton Tea House is a place that you love to visit and enjoy the great food and wide variety of fine teas. Its simply the best kept secret in Lexington, but not for long. It is the perfect place to have Business Lunches, Private Bridal/Baby Showers, Little Girl Princess Parties, Sweet 16 Parties or any Special Event you could think of. I always enjoy spending a few moments talking with the owners Ken and Ruth Mace who always greets you with a friendly Smile and a warm Hello.

I have visited the Lexington Tea House twice since it's opening and have enjoyed myself thoroughly on both occasions. The old house and decor are so elegant and lovely, just the type of ambiance you expect from a tea house. The tea and food are excellent! The menu is quite diverse and reasonably priced (they even offer coupons). The first time I went I had just a sandwich and tea and came away quite full. The second time I was prepared and skipped breakfast so I could have a large lunch and got the Royal tea and my friend got the Queen's tea. Everything was delicious and served warm. The owners, Ken and Ruth, made it a point to come and speak with us both times we visited and the waitress Megan was very attentive. I live in Greensboro, but it is totally worth the drive and the time it takes to get there to visit the Lexington Tea House. I can't say enough good things about this place and would recommend it to anyone.
