Went for breakfast which was delicious. Atmosphere was very calming and friendly. This is in a strip mall but don't let that disappoint you from an old Victorian Inn atmosphere. I have been in one of the Victorian Inn's which was lovely decorated but the food was not as good and it was more expensive at the other place. The large selection of scones is wonderful along with the ginger peach tea I had. I love the idea of smaller scones so I can get a few different ones to sample instead of only large scones. I love the different theme activities throughout the year. I look forward to going back with friends to enjoy more meals at the Scone Shoppe. Keep up the great work and extreme friendliness to your customers.

Second visit and it was as wonderful as the first. Delicious food, desserts, tea and of course scones. Beautifully appointed decorum, bright and elegant lighting, handicap friendly and plenty of parking is available. Recommend for a special occasion and everyday lunch with friends and family (took my 94 year old mother and she was delighted). Staff is very friendly and helpful.

We stopped at the Scone Shoppe for lunch and were thrilled to find a gorgeous shop with great atmosphere, friendly people and most importantly, fantastic food! The chicken salad croissant and spinach quiche were excellent, as was the Italian wedding soup! Highly recommended!!!

This is my new favorite place! I've been to The Scone Shop three times and each time has been a delight. The scones are so fresh and a wonderful assortment of flavors are offered. The atmosphere is everything you would expect of a Victorian Tea Room...lovely decor, beautiful bone china cups and tea pots. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Don't miss this experience when you are in Point Pleasant, NJ!

First let me say that I never miss an opportunity to have a new 'Tea' experience. I try to include a 'Tea' when traveling and that includes NYC to San Francisco to Great Britain. Imagine my surprise and delight when invited to 'Tea' right in my own backyard in Pt. Pleasant, NJ. It is a family run business and everyone is so warm and welcoming! The food is fantastic and the portions are gigantic -- no one will ever leave there hungry! I've decided that The Scone Shoppe will be my 'go to' place when entertaining my northern NJ friends at the Jersey Shore. Linda Pacotti

Just Amazing!! You will be so glad you took the trip. A better place to have a lunch for the ladies you will not find. From the outstanding decor to the fabulous food it is a must visit at the Jersey Shore. I never thought they could top the taste of the scones but the new breads are to die for. I just had a Pumpkin Cranberry Bread and it is better then any I have ever had. Please do yourself a favor and make this a stop on your travel you will not be dissapointed.

Treat yourself to a wonderful afternoon of the best scones, sandwiches and sweets that can be made. Theresa, the chef, stands alone in the scone department and everyone makes you feel as if you have entered their home. The welcome is just as warm as their food is delicious.

I just love the pomegranate green tea that is served hot or cold. My favorite is the iced tea and drink it all year round. I think they only use tea bags but find the tea is wonderful (not sure what the big deal is about loose tea anyway). We love the soups and sandwiches. The daily specials are always delicious and Theresa uses seasonal ingredients. If the crepes are on the menu they are a must have. The scone ladies tea is great with tea sandwiches and sweets. The scones are great and freeze well. Sometime she has lemon cupcakes that are served with the tea that I have tried several times to recreate and can't perfect. If you are looking for a wonderful relaxing lunch spot at the Jersey Shore this is the place.

The Scone Shoppe has the BEST scones I have ever had. They have a huge selection which are rotated daily. It is a cozy tea room, where the staff makes you feel like you're family. I have been there at least 5 times and have enjoyed each experience. I have even gone out of my way to go there to purchase scones to bring home, that's how good they are! You won't be disappointed if you visit the Scone Shoppe. My husband even likes it!!

What a wonderful experience! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The scones are absolutely delicious and the tea served in the gorgeous teapots was excellent. Tasted the vanilla almond and ginger peach and thoroughly enjoyed both of them. The Scone Lady's Tea was such a special treat that it made my day! (maybe even my week!)

Have gone to The Four Seasons in Philly, Sally Lund's, and tearooms all over PA and NJ. and The Scone Shoppe is only 10 minutes away from home. Easily became a favorite for me and friends. We had a surprise going-away party there 2 weeks ago. Variety of teas excellent, fresh coffee also available, and their expanded Saturday breakfast menu is wonderful. Scones are delish!

Went here because I had read this review and am always looking for a good scone. Well I was disappointed. Coming from Scotland what is served here is definitely not a scone as we know it in Scotland. It is supposed to be served with cream and preserves, which was not done. Even if it had been served with these two items, it would not have worked, as these 'scones' are more like a fat cookie. I had ordered the afternoon tea and by the time I got to my scone it was cold. Also no loose tea is offered. Only teabags. Not that I am saying the food at other tables did not look good, but the tea menu that I ordered with my family, was not what I expected.

My husband and I enjoy visiting tearooms and we happened to overhear two ladies talking about The Scone Shoppe while we were in another tearoom in August, 2009. Well since then we have visited about once every 2 weeks or so. It's about 40 miles from home but if it were closer we would be there on a weekly basis. The Shoppe is family owned and run by a Mother (Pat) & Daughter (Theresa) with other family members (Son, Joey & Aunt, Jerry)working there. Not only is the food wonderful but the scones are exceptional. You get to choose your scone from a variety of about 10 to 12 different flavors to go along with your Afternoon Tea. It's not just a tearoom, you can also get breakfast and lunch and take scones to go (which we always do). When we come here they make us feel like family not just another customer. Once you visit, you will be like us and tell others about it so they can enjoy it as much as we do (one visit and your hooked).
