Tried to make a reservation and was told Chris retired and they are currently not doing a tea service any more... they are thinking about continuing it in the future though.

Everything is homemade and delicious. Dena and Chris are excellent cooks. The ambiance of the mansion is charming and just what you would expect when going to tea. I love the fireplace. The added touches to the tea trays and table make this the perfect place for tea! I highly recommend it!

I love having tea is a place of historical significance! (Tea just doesn't feel the same in a warehouse/strip mall) This fits the bill with tall ceilings and period decor. The full tea was delish and the hostess super accomidating and pleasant. We'll be back!

This review is for Tea Time at Power's Mansion. I live in Southern California and planned a bridal shower for my sister at Tea Time to be honest I don't have enough time or text to explain how pleased the guests and I were. The Owners: Dena and Chris Both went above and beyond to help me plan this event for my sister; since I was unable to go in person to see the venue or meet with them they graciously answered multiple rounds of emails, sent pictures and stayed in contact with me to ensure all of my questions were answered. Our theme was 'vintage baseball' and Chris brought in her sons MLB attire to help decorate which was so unexpected and appreciated and added touch that my sister will continue to rave about for years to come. It was these added touches that were seen throughout the parlor and luncheon that will have me returning to Tea Time every time I am in town and recommending to whomever will listen!! The Food/Tea Were equally fresh and flavorful. Without a doubt exceed my expectations (are you noticing a reoccurring theme here :-) A few comments from our Guest and The Bride-to-be 'I generally don't like peas but I loved them in this salad', '...the tomatoes tasted like they were picked this morning' and ' this tea has changed the way they think about tea', the list really could go on and on. The Scones Were so good they deserved a review all their own. We had the White Chocolate Raspberry Scones which were served warm out of the oven, it was obvious the ingredients were fresh and for those in search of a traditional scone, your search is over. Should they ever decide to start a mail order business I would be among one of their first customers. The Venue Tea Time is situated inside of Power's Mansion, beautifully decorated with what I would describe as 'understated elegance'. When I was searching for other Tea Parlors in the area I didn't get the sense that any could offer personal touches offered by Chirs and Dena, the sense of class and refinement and a high quality of food and tea like Tea Time would. It's was very obvious from the first time I spoke with Dena that both Chris and Dena love what they do and it showed in every inch of the parlor, every sip of the tea and bite of food. The next time you are looking to treat your self to an afternoon tea planning a large or small event give Tea Time a try you or your guest will not be disappointed!!

I was with Judy Sacto and we finally felt so at home for tea after mourning the loss of Afternoon to Remember!! the atmosphere is that of a fine East Coast mansion and we were blessed to have the table next to the window with the lovely lace curtains - the parlor is as it is in photos -Chris and Dena were the perfect hosts and servers and the blueberry lemon scone I took home was still soft and just as wonderful at 8pm as when I had tea at 2pm! and that usually is not true elsewhere! they even have nice tables to go sit by yourself so get there soon!

My friends and I had to try Power Mansion, especially knowing some of the crew from 'An Afternoon to Remember' were there. We were graciously met upon our arrival and were not rushed at all. The ambiance is breathtaking. The fireplaces were lit with white lights and candles and the place looked magical and they were ready for The Fourth with red, white & blue decorations. The blueberry/lemon scones were still warm and soft - not crumbly like some other tea houses. The ham quiche was good and if I was at home, I would have asked for more. The service was excellent and cheery. We were at the last seating and were told to stay as long as we liked. We have already made our Christmas reservations and I can't wait.

It was such a delight to know that we have a tea house again in Auburn! I was excited to see that some of the staff was from 'An Afternoon to Remember.' Great job and I wish you much success!

I had tea here several years ago and was not happy with the atmosphere or the food quality. When I heard that the staff from 'Afternoon to Remember' came to Power Mansion after the closing, I definitely wanted to revisit. I really had a great time. The service was excellent, tea steeped perfectly, portion size very good (large scones - yes!) and great taste and variety. A new local favorite! Will be back for Easter time and Mother's Day.

My frends and I have been going to tea rooms for years. In fact, we have become pretty good at what to look for. Powers mansion Teahouse fits our critiera to a 'tea' Started with wonderful sweet potato soup with a tasty quiche. Served nice and hot. Scones were great! Two large each. Sandwiches fresh and tasty. The open face red pepper sandwich was a little lacking. Deserts..Yum. lemon pound cake, Really we could't finish it all. Service was great. In the past, we loved the food at 'an afternoon to remember' in New Castle but unfortunately it closed But...we found out that the cooks that were there opened in this lovely B&B. Charming room, unrushed and great service. At this trip I drove 11/2 hours and worth it. We will be back.

Three of use just had tea at this establishment today. We were looking forward to it, for we knew the two owners cooked at a now closed tea room in Newcastle. We were not disapointed. It was wonderful. The food was delicious, the place tastefully decorated, and the owners made us feel right a home. We have been to several tea rooms and this one is at the top of our list!
