This wonderful little tea room is the best thing about Georgetown - and that's saying a lot! Serving delicious, homemade recipes in an exquisite, peaceful atmosphere with delightful, professional staff and a personable, knowledgeable owner, the Dusty Rose is a little bit of heaven. They offer an extensive selection of fresh tea brewed to perfection (you must try the Rocky Mountain Brew...) and amazing, all-homemade recipes - their potato soup with handmade crackers (I literally crave it...) and specialty scones with Devonshire cream and lemon curd are just a couple of my favorites! Also, their high teas are an amazing presentation and experience - you won't be disappointed! Whether just stopping by after hiking in the mountains or all dolled up for a special occasion, you will feel right at home here!

Don't miss this delightful walk back in time high tea experience! Hands down, the best high tea in Colorado and I've been to many. The Victorian atmosphere, the selection of hats to wear added to the fun, and the food was absolutely excellent. Sharing a story about the reason certain foods were served was an added bonus, as was the waitress dressed in the period with her delightful personality. Just a wonderful time spent that I'll return to again.

My niece and I visited the Dusty Rose Tea Room in Georgetown, Colorado, to celebrate her 14th birthday and experience what her great-grandparents had experienced in England for high tea at the palace. We were truly delighted! The choreographed tea was a wonderful journey through history, authentic delicacies both savory and sweet, a cozied pot of tea each-not just a cup, a well-told informative and entertaining story by the hostess, a sweet and charming little waitress dressed in Victorian clothing, all in two hours in a beautiful Victorian setting in this lovely little town and for about 1/4th the price of other high tea offerings in the U.S. and British Canada with a more complete experience! I will bring more of my out-of-town guests to our home in Golden, as the whole event at the Dusty Rose only 35 miles up the road just cant be beat!

This tea room creates a lovely, peaceful and fun atmosphere to enjoy an afternoon with friends. It is decorated with teacups, bits of local history, hats for guest to wear during Tea and more and more. It was especially charming to be invited to switch out teacups if we found one we liked better than the one at our placesetting. The food was delicious and plentiful. two items had a historical story behind them. Even the waitress was dressed in costume and told us a story inbetween courses.

The dusty rose tea room is by far the cutest tea shop I have encountered, the service was great the lady who took care of us was super sweet. As for the tea, we got the Pear Lavander and the famous Georgetown tea, they both delicious. She prepared them to perfection. The place itself was so cute it's also vintage themed . The potatoe soup and the fruit tarts are absolutely AMAZING.

I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our experience. Ive been looking for a great tea house with High Tea and found one. It was and hour drive for us but well worth it. The tea was fabulous (we bought a couple of them.. Purple Earl my fav), atmosphere very time period perfect, the food incredible (the quiche especially), and the owners wonderful. My 8 girlfriends all loved it. Highlight of weekend. We will be back!

My writing group and I had the pleasure of enjoying a High Tea at the Dusty Rose Tea room February 6th. Every aspect of our experience was superb. The food was plentiful, varied and delicious. The tea choices were divine. The hostess, Jeanette, wove a wonderful retelling of some of the history of the building and town while we enjoyed ourselves. Could not have asked for a more relaxing experience. Thank you for a memorable day!

The best high tea I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying (and I've enjoyed them at quite a few different places). There's a reason why this place is highlighted in the Tea Time Magazine for Jan./Feb. 2016. MANY kinds of tea - all very flavorful (without being overpowering). The food and presentation were wonderful. Very tasty potato soup, sandwiches, scones, pastries, desserts - yummy lemon curd. Very welcoming and attentive service. It was like having tea lunch at an old friend's home! I highly recommend this place for a real tea time treat! We are already planning our next high tea lunch at this place!

Whenever I visit my family in Golden, we take the glorious ride through the scenic mountains to have Tea at the Dusty Rose. The venue is simply charming! The variety of teas is expansive. The food is delicious~ The china and linens used are beautiful. There is a wonderful story that Jeannette tells about Anne, who had lived in this historic building. Guests at Tea can wear the charming hats and fit into days-gone-by...and have pictures taken as memories.

Very good food and beautiful atmosphere. Walking into the building we weren't impressed. Dirty rug in the entry way and some large (as large as a chest freezer) stored there. Not a good first impression.

This was my fourth visit to The Dusty Rose Tea Room, and the second time I've had High Tea there. I took my mom and 93 year grandmother there. Both enjoyed themselves immensely. We all love the atmosphere, the careful attention to detail, the beautiful decorations, the prolific tea selection, and delicious food. The owner is very passionate about her tea room, and was very welcoming and entertaining. Will definitely be going back again.

We recently visited this tea room in celebration of a friend's 50th birthday. We were very impressed with the very special treatment that we were all given from the moment of making our reservation. So professional and well done. The atmosphere is magical and truly Colorado History at it's finest. The tea was some of the best teas we have ever tasted and we are tea experts. The food was excellent, delicious and filling. We came away very impressed and satisfied. Lastly, the price is very affordable - we will go back anytime we are in the Georgetown area. So good!!!!

Recently my husband and I stopped by The Dusty Rose Tea Room on a whim. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and saw this adorably decorated tea room and Victorian clad lady welcoming us with a warm smile. We were given a choice of tables and selected the High Tea which included a delicious soup or salad, a three tiered plated assortment of savory to sweet items, and a choice of tea from a list of 31. I thoroughly enjoyed the Pear Lavender tea while my husband's selection of Earl Grey was a perfect accompaniment too. Before our food arrived we were given the opportunity to select our own tea cup, wear period hats and checkout postcards from the turn of the century. Throughout the tea we were entertained and catered to our every need by friendly staff. We highly recommend this amazing experience and look forward to going again. It would be a perfect place to celebrate a special event with family and friends.

My sister and I visited my niece and had the High Tea. It was so much fun and the food was amazing. There wasn't anything that we didn't like. Loved the experience. It was fun putting on big hats and playing tea party. Jeanette and our waitress were very nice and made sure everything was just right. We chose to have Jeanette tell us about etiquette. Very interesting. LOVED the whole experience. Would love to go back sometime. Thanks

We took our mother for an early Mother's Day tea, and had an exceptional experience! Jeanette is an exemplar of graciousness. We felt pampered. And we were very entertained with our tea-time story. The food is excellent, and beautifully displayed, a perfect accompaniment to the charming tea setting. Even though it was a week early, my mother and I both received a sweet handmade Mother's Day gift, as well. This is one of the finest tea experiences I've had.

This was our second visit to the Dusty Rose Tea Room, both times for my daughter's birthday. This year was her 21st birthday and the Dusty Rose Tea Room was where she chose to celebrate! Jeannette is so kind and accommodating, even when we accidentally showed up 2 hours early for our reservation! The food served is so delicious and we loved the history included in the preparation of it. Take a look at the menu, everything we ate was above standard!! The tea was exceptional, and we loved that we could have any variety of beverages that we wanted. We tried at least 4 different types of hot tea. Every one better than the previous one. It was so relaxing and fun to sit and visit and look at all of the wonderful things Jeannette has on display in the tea room and also after tea, in her miniature shop. The drive to Georgetown is nice and we would frequent the tea room more often if we could. I will definitely be back, hopefully next time in the summer or fall when the weather is nicer! Thank you Jeannette for the picture of us you took and gave to my daughter for her birthday, to add to the one from last year! You are amazing!

We were lucky enough to have our Christmas party here on December 13.2014 and will definitely be back. The food was wonderful, interesting, and filling. The service was over the top!. Even to the last, when the waitress treated us to individual packages of her homemade toffee to take home. (didn't make it all the way home!) Every detail was remembered, down to whose coat and phone was whose. AND topped with taking our picture afterward. They made time for us as if we were the only guests. And we were not! Everyone needs to experience this beautiful room and memorable meal.

Amazing day spent with amazing friends. We had the most wonderful Christmas tea. It was intimate, quiet, and cozy allowing for wonderful conversations. We picked our special Victorian hats, tea cups, and choice of teas. The 7 of us shared our tea choices and each was more wonderful than the last, we couldn't choose a favorite. Each edible was lovingly crafted, so delicious and unique, and very satisfying. The people of the Dusty Rose were very friendly and attentive. Well worth the drive from Denver. Georgetown was decorated and busy with the Christmas Market. It was a wonderful day. Thank you Jeanette and Chris.

Great potential and it looked like high tea customers were treated well and received items ordered. We were moved around, the items we'd ordered were given to other customers, mid-day entree items were depleted, service was terrible. Tea itself was good.

Girl's Day Out on a beautiful Sunday in August was a wonderful treat at the Dusty Rose Tea Room in Georgetown. Jeannette's home baked items were excellent, especially the meat pie. What an amazing experience! My wife and I went to the Dusty Rose Tea Room in search of a fun and unique experience and that's exactly what we found! What a wonderful little tea room nestled in what was once called (1860's) the International Hotel in historic Georgetown, CO. Seated at an intimate table for 2 with all the place settings, vintage hats and fine bone china we felt we were stepping back in time to the Victorian Era. The ambiance truly set the mood for an enchanting experiencing of High Tea. The friendly, gracious and knowledgeable staff helped us choose our teas from over 30 available -- I personally recommend the Russian Chai. From the delicious potato soup, through the cucumber sandwiches to the sweets and savories the quality was incredible! We very highly recommend this as a 'must do' when in Georgetown, CO!

We had a lovely tea at the Dusty Rose with our four children, ages 17 months to 9 years. The décor was lovely and charming, as was the service. The food was excellent -- they served the best cucumber sandwich I've ever had. The owner was very welcoming to our children. She did not flinch at allowing them to drink from the china, and she included lots of special touches just for them. My children love elegant tea parties, and we had a wonderful afternoon together as a family.

Enjoying the experience of High Tea was a first for me. With dear friends, we were hampered Victorian style, with delicious teas, dainty foods, both sweet and savory! I visited the Dusty Rose Tea Room yesterday with 24 lady friends for a Victorian High Tea. The experience was superb and I can't stop telling everyone about it. The moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by Jeannette who showed us inside the tea room. Our group was gathered for a complimentary old time photograph which we received during our tea. What a pleasant surprise that was. A fabulous selection of teas was served in charming teapots set in lovely tea cozies. The description of the teas were printed on a tea offering menu which included our organizations name and the date. Another surprise! One of the selections was their signature tea, the Georgetown berry medley that included berries native to the Georgetown area. Then came the decadent food, all made from scratch I might add & the fascinating stories. We were all drawn into the Victorian era gone by with not only the decor but also by the presentation of the teas, a scrumptious potato soup served with garlic parmesan crackers, spinach tarts, deviled eggs, meat pies, cucumber tea sandwiches, scones, sweets, etc. Learning the history behind some of the menu items made them all the more special. The atmosphere and staff was phenomenal and having visited other tea rooms, this one puts the rest to shame with their authenticity. It takes much more than a few old photos and antiques to provide a true Victorian High Tea experience and in my opionion the Dusty Rose Tea Room has gotten it right. I am a fan forever and will be bringing my out of town guests there in the future to enjoy the same lovely experience that I and 24 other ladies had yesterday.

Jeanette makes the experience simply amazing! From her Victorian attire and decorations to the historic tales she told to the decadent and historically significant menu served, she made our visit to this former mining-era boarding house a truly memorable event. She spent so much time telling stories and making my 4-year-old daughter feel like a princess, it was like having a tour guide for our tea! The perfect ending to a day of stepping back in time to the mining days of Georgetown. Jeanette and her staff even went to painstaking effort to provide gluten free selections for the celiacs in our group. I recommend making a day of it by riding the train, touring the mine, visiting the Hamill House, and ending with a relaxing and elegant High Tea at Saint James Tea Room. We found that tea room by chance and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our experience there. The room was most beautifully decorated, the clerk took great care of us and the owner made sure that everything was to our liking. The St James Berry Medley was a delight and so were the black walnut cookies and chocolate rum cups. A must if you are in town!

The service was absolutely amazing, the staff very friendly and the delivery and timing of items served was perfect. The food was absolutely delightful; all but one thing is home (shop) made, which makes for a unique experience. My two favorite food items were the deviled eggs and the Black Walnut Cookies. On to the tea, I sampled two different flavors. A common Lady Grey loose leaf, brewed quite well and the St. James signature tea, a loose leafed berry concoction that left me wanting to go on a tea binge! I highly recommend the signature. This tea room certainly delivers a wonderful atmosphere, Victorian inspired that both makes the tea room feel homey and elegant at the same time. One slight thing that I was disappointed on; we ran out of tea, or more properly, were not asked if we would like another pot. Other than the lack of tea at the end, the food was amazing, and the service even better. I highly recommend the high tea at the St. James Tea Room.

We had a most excellent meal at this establishment. All the food was homemade and the recipes were great. We tried 2 types of tea and hot chocolate, all were outstanding. Well worth the visit. Atmosphere is Victorian lovely.

We had a three generations tea visit recently, mom, niece and myself. The service and hospitality was excellent. We loved the food, especially the spinach bacon tartlets.

We just visited the tea room today. This is the second time I have been to the tea room. It was simply divine! I throughly enjoyed each dessert and treat. I particularly enjoyed the heart shape cookie. The owner was very nice to us. She went out of her way to please. I recommend that you visit the tea room the next time you go skiing in Colorado. It is a wonderful stop after a great ski day!
