The Porch offers a full, made-from-scratch lunch menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, pot pie, quiche, desserts, and fine teas served in a tearoom atmosphere. For those with dietary needs, we have gluten-free, organic, and vegetarian options available. We welcome call-ahead and to-go orders for those times when you want a healthy lunch in a hurry.
We offer over 50 varieties of tea: black teas, green teas, herbal infusions, decaffeinated teas (natural, chemical free CO-2 process), Oolong teas, and white tea. We also offer a line of organic teas. All of our teas can be served either hot or cold and by the cup/glass, pitcher, or pot.
In addition to serving fine teas and food, we are a book and gift store. We have a huge selection of books, gift items, collectibles, jewelry, home decor, and of course, teapots and teacups.
We are located in Danville off old highway 36 across from Beasley's Orchard. Our Tea Room is located in an old school house that has a wrap around porch. Outdoor seating is available where you can enjoy the country setting.
The Porch is phenomenal! Delicious, made-from-scratch, affordable food ... friendly and caring staff ... a one-of-a-kind dining experience ... with a wide variety of fine teas and creative gifts to buy and browse through. You don't wanna miss this place!
My absolute favorite place to have lunch with a friend or my entire bible study group. My favorite is their chicken salad on their homemade rye bread with a cup of white chicken chili. I love the peach ginger tea, but enjoy trying new ones from the list of many. The best thing by far is the wonderfully cheerful ladies who run The Porch.
Great countryside setting. Porch wraps around the building. Outdoor seating makes you feel like you're at Grandma's house. Great offering of organic food. Over 40 varieties of tea to choose from. Highly recommend the wild strawberry tea. Love it!
