the waitress was knowedgeable & helpful the seafood newburg in puff pastry was to die for - the bread for the tea sandwiches could use some variety but the toppings r so good the bread can be overlooked

Nice! Food was excellent and reasonably priced. It was busy but the staff kept things moving. Overall a very good experience.

I have been here several times- and it's always been out standing! I gave one of my friends a going away tea party here and the service and quality was fantastic! Wonderful staff!

I was excited to find this tearoom in my area, the food was horrible. I've been to more than 50 tea houses and this was the worse. The tea sandwiches are all on a round cut out of wonder bread and they all are Ina paste/purée like baby food. I was very disappointed.

My experience at Jessica's Tearoom is always delightful. The beautiful historic Weaversville Inn takes visitors back in time; the dining rooms are quaint; the cuisine is delicious, and the offerings are numerous! Mark and his staff are like old friends each time I return, and there is always something special to look forward to on the menu.

I've been to Jessica's at least a half a dozen times. It is always a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is serene and the servers are friendly and informative. The selection of tea sandwiches and desserts is great, as well as the tea selection. Often, we get the high tea and add the puff pastry dish. It's great!! I go to tea at least twice a year, and this is by far the best overall place to go in the Allentown/Reading region.

We have been to Jessica's several time and have loved it every time. The food is wonderful with many choices. Their puffed pastries are delightful. The selection of teas is outstanding. In my opinion this is the best tea room in the area.

This is the first time I have been to Jessica's Teahouse, and already I want to go back! They had some wonderful teas, but for those people who like Japanese green teas, there were none. The atmosphere was excellent, and their scones were the highlight (they were served with lemon curd, Devonshire cream, and strawberry jam).

My daughter and I visited the tea room this past Saturday. It was everything we were hoping for in a tea room. We loved the china and the scones and pumpkin bread were very good with the jam and devonshire cream. A tea room is supposed to be a place where you don't have to rush and just enjoy yourself and that is exactly what we found. Thank you.

      Tearoom response:

Pat, thank you for your kind words. I am glad you had the chance to sit and relax. We share the same tea room philosophy. I'm happy to read that you enjoyed the china and the food as well. We look forward to serving in the future. Mark Prostko

Went to the tea room this past saturday with my mother and a friend. The finger sandwiches were absolutely horrible and gave me a bellyache the rest of the day. The place settings did not match whatsoever and the service was very slow considering the outrageous prices. I will never step foot in Jessica's Tearoom again and I would most definitely suggest that nobody else try it either. The entire experience was a nightmare.

      Tearoom response:

Melinda,I am very sorry to read about your poor experience at the Tea Room. I am the Chef and the Owner, I was there all day, I wish you would have brought your dissatisfaction to my attention this day, instead of this website forum. Maybe I could have done something to correct the problems. The place settings are designed not to match. I'm not sure what your price expectations would be for a five course high tea. I believe we charge a fair price for our meals. Again I apologize for your un pleasant visit. Mark Prostko

We went this past Sunday for breakfast. It was horrible! We were seated at a table with a dirty clothe, the chair cover was dirty and I got syrup all over my pants, and the place is in a general state of ill repair. (The ceiling holes covered with cardboard and duct tape) The was bigalow in bags and the coffee was of very poor quality, we could not drink it. The food was nothing to brag about. The service was very slow. I will not be back and I can not suggest that people go there it was that bad.

      Tearoom response:

EVK, I can't begin to apologize for your poor experience at my restaurant. It's certainly not the way I would like to start the year and definitely not a true showing of what we do. We try to take care of the customer and we are proud of the product we provide. Yes, for breakfast due to price points we use tea bags. I'm sorry you were disappointed with he coffee but I know the server brewed even a second pot for you, freshness and quality were not compromised. The cardboard and duct tape were there, sloppy I admit, but in a rush to eliminate a huge draft on the guests I covered the duct work. It wasn't a random hole in the ceiling. We will continue to work towards meeting and exceeding our customers expectations, I'm sorry you were disappointed. Mark Prostko

Honestly it's a nice and relaxing place. Food was ok nothing to rave about the servers could be a little nicer but maybe they were having a bad day. But overall I would go again!!

      Tearoom response:

Dear shak, I'm sorry that your didn't meet your expectations. We try to exceed them, no excuses. I promise we will continue to try harder. Still I'm happy to hear that you will consider coming back. Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. I do appreciate your business.<BR> Mark Prostko Chef/Owner

Jessica's has the PERFECT tea menu setup! Tea, scones, a selection of tea sandwiches, soup/salad, an ENTREE, desserts..LOVE IT!!! Unfortunately it doesn't quite have the feeling of a 'tea' room though they are trying...Like the other reviewer said, it's more of a restaraunt style place, but all in all it is quite nice. On Mother's Day it DEFINITELY has more of a 'tea room' feeling, but on other days...it feels like you're part of the crowd and the servers are friendly, but you do feel like another regular diner.

This tea room is a bit different from others we have visited. We still like it, but something is missing from the quaint tea experience. The room itself is more of a restaurant-style, and on the varied occasions we've been there, seems to become quite loud. The tea selection is adequate, and the finger sandwiches are divine. I was happy to get an entree with my full tea, however the tuna melt seemed as if the 'melt' component was a slice of Kraft 'cheesefood' singles...and not so tasty. However they do have quite a variety and I will try something else next time. All and all it is a fun and delicious tea experience, although not my favorite.

My neighbors and I made the trip to your tea room today and it was worth the trip. The chef greeted us and made us feel at home. We all had high tea and very course was wonderful. The watress told us alittle about the tea room it was very interesting. We have been to other tea rooms but this was worth the experience. We all had different teas and they were all very good. They had hats on the wall they let us try them on we took alot of pictures they didn't mind. I would sure make another trip to the tea room. Thanks again Mark for having a wonderful tea room we sure had so much fun.
