One of my favorite little tea rooms. Love the antique mismatched china, the beautiful tea room, the happy atmosphere, the fresh wildflowers for sale, the splendid food (wonderful menu of fresh, homemade tea sanwiches, soup, etc). I don't think they have high tea type events but you can go for lunch and has freshly brewed looseleaf tea and amazing food in a perfect atmosphere!

This is a very nice pleasant tea room. Been there several times. My wife especially enjoys the tea sandwiches. Good food, reasonable, bright, cheerful, good service. Decor is sort of basic colonial. It is in an old bldg. The original rope-operated freight elevator is in the entry lobby left over from when the building was a factory. Maybe 100yrs ago?

When i asked for tea the server asked if we we wanted a bag or 'those little grain things'. Tea was so weak all I could taste was the milk. The tea sandwiches were only different types of cold salads (tuna, chicken, ham) cut into different shapes. This place has no business having 'tea' in it's name.

A cute little tea room with delicious, decently priced, well portioned meals. I love it!

We go to the tea room on Sundays for breakfast. Noisy but worth it! Food is very good, not gourmet, but the prices are reasonable.Little old ladies looking for an English tea room will be disappointed!

I have a chapter in the Red Hat Society and every year we visit a new tea room for our annual tea celebration. Although the food and waitstaff were great, the noise level was not that of a lovely victorian tea room. We were very disappointed and could hardly hear ourselves speak. I would not receommend going there for a quiet afternoon tea. However, if you're looking for an everyday restaurant, the food is great. We went for breakfast on a Sunday. Too bad it was noisy.

A friend and I visited the tearoom recently after not having been here for a couple of years. We LOVED it all over again. We like the way it is decorated, the staff was very friendly and gave wonderful service. The food was EXCELLENT- and we were able to relax and enjoy our visit. I believe that if a place is noisy- it shows that the patrons are relaxed and having a good time. We certainly did. Keep up the good work!

As a resident of skippack, pa right down the road- i absolutely LOVE to go to the tea room! they have the BEST lunch sandwiches and a great breakfast as well. All of the reviewers that have had negative comments just sound like stuffy old ladies to me. Take it from someone who has lived here for 25 years.. the tea room has the best lunch around!

I was very excited to take my Mom to this tea room. What a mistake! We couldn't have a conversation there - the noise level remined me of a bus station, not a relaxing tea room. My cup was leaking. The tea was in tea bags which I can buy every day in any grocery store and enjoy it in the serenity of my own house from a tea cup that is not leaking. The service was awful. The tea sandwiches (if that's what THAT was) were tasteless. What a wasted afternoon!

What a wonderful tea room! After getting my grandmother a gift certificate to come here, which she thoroughly enjoyed, I decided to throw my sister's wedding shower here for about 35 people. The chef worked on a menu with me, and was very accomodating. We had a special menu of ham and cabbage and 'drunken chicken' - an Irish themed party. He also served these delicious little assorted breads. The appetizers and entrees were beautifully displayed and delicious. The plates were all mismatched -too cute. All of our guests were raving about the food. Not to mention the fact that the service was wonderful. No guest wanted for anything. By the way men should not feel threatened to come here, as the interior of the tea room is very colonial and not too feminine. My sister's shower was 'Jack and Jill' and the men had a great time, too. I can't wait to go back for tea another time. I'm even mailing the tea room a letter to let them know that they made a very special event so wonderful for my sister, her fiancee and our families.

A friend and I recently visited this Tea Room for lunch and we were very disappointed. The noise level is loud, the service is poor and the food is so-so. The tea sandwiches were plain - ham salad, egg salad on white bread. What's that all about? How about some cucumber or asparagus tea sandwiches on brown bread or some other creative idea?? The server we had wasn't friendly and she acted as though we were bothering her by being there...note to the owner: Rethink your strategy here!

My dear ladies, Please ignore any negative reviews about this lovely establishment. To go and sit in the tearoom is worth it all. The mismatched china, the old refrigerator, the tiny tables, the fresh flowers---this is a real tea room. The tea is mixed by an artisan who is the person who mixed tea for that dirty Prince Charles when he visited Philadelphia. The food is very, very good. However, don't order the tea sandwiches---get real food. And the desserts are scrummy (get the cream puffs). And there are lots of little shops nearby for a quick spree (and don't forget Skippack, down the road). Go, go, ladies, don't be so picky---this is an American tea house.

Have been to this tea room various times over the years. Last few times was greatly disappointed. Food quality was less than satisfactory. One thing I've never liked is the noise. It is very difficult to carry on a conversation. Having visited many tea rooms, I would not classify this tea room as such. If you want to go to a tea room in the area, please go to Thyme for Tea in Lansdale. It is a much more pleasant experience and you can actually carry on a conversation. They have a good variety of teas and the food is very good. It is what you would expect a tea room to be. Their High Tea is very enjoyable.

This is one large room, no dividers and little sound dampining material which makes conversation almost impossible. That alone makes this a place to avoid.

What a dissapointment. To call this a tearoom is by far a stretch of the imagination! Our tea was terrible, the staff was surly and it was loud and boisterous. The food was the only positive thing.

We have frequented this place often in the past and were excited when we called the week prior and were able to get reservations for Father's Day this year. There were 4 of us, plus my 7-month-old son in our party. We arrived before 10:30, our scheduled reservation time, and there was a line out the door. We were so relieved that we had our reservations and would not have to wait in the line with an impatient baby. When we approached the young woman at desk and told her about our reservation she rudely said they did not take reservations. We explained that we had called the previous week and had made the reservations that the person who had answered the phone told us we had a reservation for 10:30 on Father's Day. The girl was extremely rude and told us that she could not help us and that we would have to wait 45 minutes for a table just like everyone else. We spoke to an older woman, who I believe is the owner's mother and she was also very rude. She played dumb and just repeated over and over that they did not take reservations. Neither woman apologized and seemed more put-off by having to talk to us than concerned that someone that worked there had given us false information and inconvenienced us. We left and went to the Back Porch Cafe in Skippack, which was wonderful. We will never return to the Lederach Tea Room and have told the numerous friends we have that also frequent the restaurant of our awful experience, so it is likely they will not return either. My advice is to skip this place and go somewhere in Skippack instead!

Lederach Tea room is now open seven days a week and I could not be happier! Serving breakfast Monday to Saturday from 7:30am-11am and lunch from 11:00am - 2pm, my family and I could not ask for much more! Sundays are breakfast only-- but that means a 100% chance of recieving mixed berry, old fashion, banana, or raisin pancakes for myself! The food is excellent. This is not just a tea room, but a great little restaurant to bring any member of the family. There are tables availible outside for great weather- first come, first serve!

I have been enjoying lunch at the Lederach Tea Room for 17 years. I absolutely love it. It is a quaint little restaurant that my mother, sister, aunt and cousin have been celebrating birthdays and special occasions. The food is so fresh and delicious. The menu has not changed in all these years and we never tire of it. You and your guest will enjoy lunch on china plates and teacups that most likely don't match, very chabby chic. You don't have to get dressed up, it is very laid back (you might have a red hat club siting)and comfortable. I took my three boys once and they hated me. It is definitely for the ladies. It is charming and I hope I will be going back for many more years. I will forever cherish the memories of going to the Tea Room with the women in my life. Did I mention the deserts!!!!!!!!

I never miss an opportunity to visit this tearoom whenever I am in the area! The food is excellent, although it is more restaurant than tearoom, it can be noisy but the food is excellent, the ambience is great and the womderful service makes this tearoom worth going back to again and again!

My parents, family, and friends have been dining at the tea room for years. The food and service are always excellent! Other reviewers are correct, its not a 'traditional' tea room. It can be a bit noisy, but the old, wooden floor and 'shabby chic' array of tea cups, saucers and plates just add to the charm of this place. You always feel welcome and comfortable - you are never rushed through your meal or out of your table. If you let your server know that you are pressed for time, they always accomodate. Jane and her staff are the BEST!!!!

Have been here many times. It is a lovely place to lunch but I dont consider it a tea room. Very noisy. Love the sauted spinich and mushroom sandwich!!!! Soups are wonderful. I love it as a lunch place but would be disappointed if I went for a tea.

My husband and I were thrilled to find this quaint little tea room. Although the service was a bit slow, the food was delicious. So, I was hoping to host my little sister's baby shower with about 16-18 people. Unfortunately, when I called a very rude person stated without further explanation that 'we don't do that here' and hung up on me. Thus that action sourerd the taste in my mouth for this tea room.

A lovely place for breakfast or lunch. A little loud w/ the wooden floors, but nice atmosphere. Great food.
