The residents of Tillamook County treasure this intimate little tea shop. The ambiance and food transport one in time and place to an elegant, more refined, era and place. I've enjoyed wonderful experiences here with my daughter-in-law and with large groups like the Tillamook branch of the American Association of University Women. I'm always eager to return. The gift shop area is nice, but it seems overloaded with purses, wall art, and jewelry. When what I would much rather see more of are the tea-related items-- packaged loose leaf teas, pots, cups, and tea service accessories. Those items are sparely represented for some odd reason.

Simply the BEST! If you are looking for the whole package this is it! The food presentation is beautiful using fresh local ingredients (can you say Tillamook cheese scones...mmm!) that melt in your mouth. Additionally, the servers are knowledgeable about their tea!

SO RUDE....l was appauled a the reception my husband an l received from this tea room. We were driving through Tilamook and decided to stop in for lunch. We had been here once before several years ago and it was lovely. Well, never go here without a reservation. You get treated like dirt if you do. We ask to be seated for lunch. NO. Could we maybe come back a little later when a table would be free. NO. Hey they are so wonderful apparently that they dont want tourists to just pop in and inconvenience them. Humm. Lots of room and few tables. Come on people you are in a holiday town. Be friendly to the tourists and make room for them in the tea room and get rid of some of the over priced and over stocked gifts. l will never darken their door again

The food and presentation make it extra wonderful. We all had more than enough to eat and enjoyed taking some goodies home. They have a nice variety of choices of soups, salads, and sandwiches for those who are not into the complete tea experience. We all think the prices are very reasonable. It is a beautiful drive and worth the trip if you do not live in Tillamook.

La tea Da is an English-style tearoom, though some French elements can be found in the shop and on the menu. My friend and I opted for High Tea, which was the most expensive option under the ‘Prix Fixe’ heading. It was well worth the price, and did not cost any more than a nice dinner would. Our La Tea Da High Tea included a pot of loose-leaf tea and a three-tiered tray of delectable treats. As is only proper for a high tea, there were several types of tea sandwiches, scones with Devonshire cream, and of course, a variety of tiny desserts. Both I and my companion actually had to take some of the food home in a box, because there was so much of it. The tea room itself is decorated in what I would describe as a classic style with a few contemporary touches. Floral motifs abound. There is also a gift shop, for your tea-related retail needs. I was especially impressed with the large selection of teas on the menu and for sale in the shop, and the friendly and attentive service we received. I will definitely be a returning customer.

We had visited this tearoom 5 years ago travelling thru Oregon and enjoyed it so much that we stopped there again when visiting this past week. The decor is Victorian-lovely and flowery. The food is served so beautifully and is yummy too! A large selection of teas is great also. Would highly recommend it.

My sister and I have been to many teas on our travels and LaTeaDa is one of the best ones we have been to. It is the first time that we actually had to ask for a box to take some of the treats home. The food was presented in an artistic way and tasted as great as it looked. We will certainly return when we are in the area.

I love this tea room. Whenever travelling my husband and I always stop at a tea room if we can, so we've been to many and this one is the best in Oregon. It is right up there with the Empress high tea in Victoria B.C. They present everything so lovely. The portions are huge and all the sandwich combos are unique and full of flavor. I've never been disappointed. I've been back three times. It is always busy no matter the day, so do make a reservation.

This is simply the best tea house in Oregon. It is definitely worth a special trip from the valley for teatime lovers. Foodwise, I have never seen the attention to detail and consistency that this tearoom offers. The food is creative, delicious, and beautiful. It's the standard by which I measure all tearooms!

I've been to several tea rooms and La Tea Da is by far my favorite. The tea, sandwiches, desserts and scones (my favorite) are delicious and well-presented. The atmosphere is relaxing with soothing music in the background. They have a large selection of teas. The gift shop is attractive and well-stocked. When I want to be pampered with an awesome tea, I go to La Tea Da. I’m never disappointed.

My fiancee and I had a wonderful high tea at la tea da during the summertime. The food was good just a little overly 'cheesy' for my fiancee. I loved it but he said it was just too much cheese for him. The tea sandwiches were great, and the scones were absolutely wonderful! I can't wait to go back again (soon, I hope).

Tea and the beach are two of my favorite things in life. Throw in a drive down the beautiful Oregon coast to Tillamook and you have cause for joy. A drive along Oregon’s rocky coastline that ends in Tillamook at La Tea Da can make for a pleasant, relaxing experience. To celebrate the pending arrival of a new grandchild as well as three half-birthdays, our family and friends made the journey from Ilwaco, WA to Tillamook, OR for tea at La Tea Da. I have had tea at numerous tearooms in the Northwest and La Tea Da remains my favorite because of the food and service. It cannot be denied that the getting there is part of the experience. As always everything was wonderful and those members of our party who had not been to La Tea Da before declared it the very best.

My best friend lives in Georgia and I live in Oregon. Every year one of us visits the other. This year, Terry came to see me and we did our coastal outing. She is a tea house expert. La Tea Da did not let us down. GREAT FOOD, great service, adorable shopping area for anyone who likes cozy, inviting, yummy decor. I will be taking everyone I know there. The high-tea is exquisite! LOVE LOVE LOVE. Everyone should make an effort to come to this tea house. WE WILL BE BACK - NO DOUBT

We love coming to La Tea Da! This is our 10th year to the Oregon Coast and our second visit to La Tea Da. The little sorbe cups to start the tea out delights my two daughters. The food is the freshest/homemade of all the tea houses we have gone to. My two daughters are becoming tea experts. We have gone to dozens of tea shops. My youngest daughter likes La Tea Da the most. My husband even likes going there. Thanks for a delightful experience.

We make the drive from the coast to La Tea Da, and it is always worth it. We celebrate birthdays at La Tea Da and enjoy an extra special dessert with a sparkler on top. I took my mom-in-law for Mother's day tea and she said it was the best Mom's day ever! I can't say enough about this great place.

The first time I ever went to La Tea Da's was for my sister-in-law's birthday, I wasn't sure why I was going because I didn't really care for tea. Little did I know what 'going to tea' meant. I had never seen so many choices of different teas. The food was outstanding and the gift shop was absolutely darling. It's no wonder why we will continue to come from Portland, and Independance Orgon to have tea at La Tea Da.

I am a regular LaTeaDa customer and I have never been disappointed. The food is all made from 'scratch' which is obvious from the quality. I have visited several other tea shops across the state and none compare with LaTea Da.

I have had tea here several times and each time the quality, care and service is tops. All other Tea places I compare to this place. To the other handful of places I've experienced tea, nothing compares to La Tea Da. Can't wait for my 'grand ladies' to grow up so they too can experiece a real tea with Grangma.

As a present tea room owner myself I was very impressed with the waitress we had as well as her knowledge of the tea's on the menu. However there was a downside.....I had reservations with my mum for 2pm. I arrived 15mins early to shop in the gift shop. I have never been so ignored in my entire life. I waited for 10 mins before I was even acknowledged by the person behind the register who was doing nothing. When I gave her my name she told me it would be a moment, I was not seated until 2:25pm. This was poor and totally put me off of the whole ambiance. It was plain rude and was not appreciated at all. I had drove over 100miles just to come to this tea room as I had heard such marvelous comments I had to see for myself. I loved the waitress and the food, however I might suggest a little more manners when someone walks in. I gave a good rating on service quality and cheer due to our waitress, but that is it. I would never survive if I ignored my customers this way!

I LOVE this tea room. It is always wonderful. When I have out of town guests, as we drive down the coast, The Lah Tea Dah is just as much a part of the trip as is Tillamook Cheese Factory! We always stop in. Looking forward to seeing you in July!

This was my second visit to La Tea Da's. In comparison to the first experience, the food remained outstanding, plenty of variety of teas, decor and gift store still top notch, but mildly disappointed in the service. Being as it was a Friday afternoon, the servers were rather young and appeared detached from the guests. That is a shame because more and more excellent tea rooms are opening along the coast. What will separate the excellent from the fair is not the quality of food or decor but the service. Maybe it was an 'off' day but to remain an excellent rated tea room it's truly important that you make your guests feel welcomed! Perhaps there will be another visit in the future. I DO wish you the best.

We had a wonderful afternoon, the food was delicious and plenty of it. Waitress wore aprons, cute lace holders for the cloth napkins -there were special touches everywhere we looked. We were not rushed, they offer different menus and you can even stop by for just a cup of tea and a little something. Gift shop was very nice also, and reasonable.
