My friends and I enjoyed our trip to Abigail's Tea room. Elegant Victorian setting beautifully decorated for Christmas, our tea stayed wonderfully hot in a lovely teapot surronded by a charming cozy. We chose the Royal High Tea and all shared our tea selections and enjoyed them all. We were encouraged to explore the other rooms and even spent some time shopping at the on site gift shop!

This tearoom was an excellent experience! We drove an hour to come visit Abigail's Tea Room for The Royal High Tea! It was worth the lil extra splurge! The lady recommended the top favorite teas and we loved them, peach apricot black tea/monk black tea/Lady Hannah herbal tea. The most impressive part of the experience is the attention to detail of the decor. It's very tradition Victorian and takes you back to that era! We were encouraged to wonder around and explore all the rooms. We very much enjoyed that! If you love tearooms, this tearoom is a must to experience!!!

Drove a hour and a half to visit Abigail's Tea Room yesterday. The drive was absolutely worth it!!! We had four woman in our party and ALL of us were very pleased. So many different types of teas to choose from and you all get your own full size pot that is certainly big enough to share your flavor with everyone at your table. We visit tea rooms as a hobby and this was the first Tear Room where we each got our "0wn" tiered server!!! The food was amazing and so much of it that we al needed boxes to take home our desserts which was great because they have a wonderful gift shop were you can buy your favorite tea (as well as many other great priced items) so we brewed a pot at home later and enjoyed their wonderful desserts!!! We had a member of our party that had a special dietary need and th... (more)

My daughters and I have been to Abigail's Tea Room 3 times over the past 4 years. We live 1 hour away and have visited other tea rooms closer to our area, but it is clear that Abigail's is in a league of its own and definitely worth the drive! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, and the d├ęcor is absolutely lovely. The food is always perfect and every single item we order is always delicious! We have been to Abigail's for both the Royal High Tea and the Lady Carlyle Tea, and each one of us was able to order our own flavor of tea with refills when empty. We love all the different flavors of tea served in lovely tea pots with beautiful tea cozies. Everything about Abigail's is wonderful, including the gift shop. My daughters and I always have such a fantastic experience that they make this my birthday gift every year! Truly Delightful!

This was our 2nd time here. We went yesterday for the special Downton Abbey High Tea. Was wonderful from the table linens to the menu to the D.A. theme music in the background. The host was so knowledgeable about the series and the era and provided wonderful tales to go along with poster and photo album. Well done! Looking forward to other special event teas. Don't miss a trip here and check out the gift shop. We will be coming back.

We are regulars here, and just love coming to Abigail's. They have the best tomato basil soup! It is perfectly decorated to be reminiscent of the beautiful Victorian era, which we do enjoy! We have had several events held here and every time, Abigails put on a great time for us, whether we had a small gathering, or even when we had 35 for a recent graduation we had! Well done Abigails, Thank you!

Visited Abigales Tearoom today for high tea. Ambience is perfectly lovely. Food was far from a culinary experience. Ordinary fillings on white bread unimaginatively cut in fourths. Slices of fresh fruit were so thinly sliced they were transparent. The soup was good. Brownies and cheese cake contributed to 2/3 of the desserts being good. The real letdown was clear plastic glasses used for water. This did not mix with the elegant china service for all the rest of the meal. Somewhat disappointing.

Yesterday, Saturday, 2/20 was my first experience at Abigail's tea room. A group of us gals decided on this adventure and made hats for the experience. We had a great time and enjoyed the food, atmosphere and of course, many varieties of tea. The gift shop is amazing. So much to look at and buy. The only detriment I have to list is available parking, especially if you are not familiar with the area, but I would not let that stop me from going. A truly wonderful experience and I cannot wait to do it again!

I have been to Abigail's Tea Room several times (6, I believe). Each time was very pleasant. The Victorian decor makes a nice atmosphere to enjoy your tea and food. I stick with the house blend tea, but family and friends that I have taken along with me enjoyed mint, blueberry, Earl Grey, Chai and peach. They have a very large selection of tea. Something to suit everyone. The food and service is always very good. Wonderful soups and sandwiches. Lovely fresh fruit and desserts. There is also always something fun to find in the gift shop.

A lovely experience! Took a good friend as a birthday treat and we were both bowled over by the mango black tea and the royal high tea selections of finger sandwiches , sweets and fruit. Elegant Victorian decorations added to the charm and so nice that it was all adults to enjoy them. All the staff was extremely friendly and interesting to talk to. It was worth the drive from Harrisburg and as nice as I had heard it was.

I was truly looking forward to bringing my adult daughters this week. After reading your comments on children, I decided not to. I understand your position on unruly children, but you went into EXTREME depth as to why children are not invited. Very rude, exaggerated and snobby. We will not be attending tea.

Going to Abigail's Tea Room over the Christmas holiday has become a tradition for my sister, friends and myself. Dec.19th, 2015 was the third year in a row that we have had the wonderful experience at Abigail's. The decorations are exquisite, the food and tea absolutely delicious, the presentation fabulous, thoughtful service and a really nice gift shop all make for a just perfect afternoon ! We also treat ourselves to the tea room at other times of the year. We highly recommend Abigail's. Thank you to the owner and staff for always making our time there so very pleasurable !

Abigail's Tea Room is no question the BEST IN THE WORLD !! When you enter you feel like you have been transported to another world, the Victorian world of the 1880's. The decor is perfect for that era, painstakingly thought through down to every little detail. The tea is delicious with a wide assortment of choices ! And the food is fantastic with numerous choices to fit the needs of every palate. The portions are generous satisfying the appetites of men as well as the ladies. Truly a unique experience for couples or groups or special celebrations. And the price is very reasonable for all you are getting. The servers and kitchen help add to the Victorian ambiance with their unsurpassed service. But my personal favorite is the owner, who makes it all work because of her love for people and therefore her desire to give her guests a truly delightful experience which they won't soon forget.

I am a Berks County native, and was looking for a fun thing to do with a young girl I was babysitting. I made a reservation at Abigail's tea room for lunch, and it was so lovely. I have been to several tea rooms around Pennsylvania, but I have never been to one where you get your own individual tier with sandwiches and dessert. Usually, you share your tier with someone else or the whole table. Fast forward to planning for my 25th birthday party. I wanted something fun, classy, and elegant to celebrate my big day, and I immediately thought of Abigail's Tea Room! They were very easy to work with regarding scheduling, and I think the price was extremely reasonable considering everything you get. The house was stunning, and it was decorated for Christmas! The food was excellent, and I got so many complements on how much fun everyone had. I highly suggest Abigail's the next time you want to have an event or just a fun girl's day out.

I cannot remember how many times we have visited Abigail's. This time, June 20, 2015, my wife and I brought some new visitors. They thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, the food, and the selection of teas. We now live much closer to Reading, PA. So we expect to visit more frequently. I had the High Tea and decaf Earl Grey tea. The scones, sandwiches, and desserts were superb. The tea was brewed just right. I like mine with a little milk and was provided that as well. Hope to see you soon.
