Mrs. B's Special Teas
My wife and I discovered Mrs. B's quite by accident. We had gone to tea in the past at other loations in Oregon but hadn't found a shop in the Albany vacinity. The advertisement for this tea house came in the mail with a handful of ads from other local business. We decided to give it a try and were very pleased with the time we spent. For the first trip I called first to get more information on what was offerd. Mrs. B's offers three levels of tea. Queen's Tea, High Tea, and what was called Afternon Tea. Respectively having 6, 5, and 4 courses. We always choose the Queens Tea, and spend a very pleasant two hours of the afternoon. On the first trip (and nearly all since) we were greeted, seated, and served by Mrs. B herself. The tearoom is in the back area of the shop with a softly lit room that has a quiet, comfortable atmosphere. When I call for an appointment Mrs. B always remembers me and knows that I will have my usual tea with a bit of honey. There a frequent changes to the decorations and menu to reflect the seasons. The desert plate is not to be missed and when you go make sure to ask about the symbology of the pineapple
