Yes, the food is not top notch. However I have visited many tea places in the San Francisco area and rarely find food that is close to better. I would rather go to this place over the King George Hotel in SF anytime! The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. The service is great. The server talks about 'The Captain' as if he is real and makes up great and wacky stories that have to make you smile. She even wears appropriate dress. You can tell that she loves what she does and it is inspiring. It is like visiting your crazy aunt. Many, many great tea items to dazzle the eye and purchase at decent prices. The victorian atmosphere is alive here. Go to this place and know that the food will be good but not great. There will be plently of it though. 4 courses compaired to the 3 every one else serves and they are brought out one at a time. No rushing you here! The price is only $15 per person and there is no tipping allowed. This is one of the Bay Area's better tea experiences.
