Grammie's Pantry Tea Room & Gift Shop
An adorable tea room! I have been to several Victorian style tea rooms, and Grammie's is my new favorite! The porch seating area is lovely, with a nice view of the garden, pond, and plenty of birds. It's quite nice to take in the fresh country air while enjoying afternoon tea! When we were seated, the table was set with fresh pineapple and passion fruit in a cream sauce, homemade feta cheese spread and crackers, as well as scones and lemon curd and Devonshire cream. I selected the white pomegranate tea and found it to be excellent in flavor. I seem to recall the tea is all loose leaf certified organic tea made by Divinitea (glad to see a local NY company being supported). The sandwiches were abundant and good (berry flavored cucumber cheese sandwiches were a favorite). Desert was a delicious homemade orange ice cream with caramel, mandarin orange, whipped cream, and a tasty berry sugar cookie on the side. There is also an a la carte menu, but we did not try it this visit (next time). One of the most delightful features of the tea were the homegrown edible flowers on our dishes! A lovely touch! We will definitely return!
