The Roswell Teahouse
Simply wonderful! First, the tea- I had some of the 'precious eyebrows' tea (delicious), and I HIGHLY recommend it. Next, the food- my 3 companions and I had the 'Light Afternoon Tea.' DELICIOUS. Words cannot describe the fantasticness of the food- the scones were scrumptious and fresh, the finger sandwiches were adorable and tasty (they surprised this steadfast picky eater!), and the desserts were HEAVENLY. We went on a weekend afternoon at 3pm (so the place was fairly quiet and not busy), and my mother made the reservations. The service was perfect- the waitress was polite and didn't hover, and the chef/owner(?) brought out the tray and explained what the foods were. It was SUCH a relaxing time that I can't WAIT to go back and bring my friends. Seriously. I've been bugging them every weekend since. The only critique I could possibly have is a small one- the menu describes the teas well, but our waitress didn't seem to know much about the teas, and just repeated what the menu said. Perhaps educate the server a bit more? Doesn't matter to me, but I was thinking for tea aficionados, maybe. Look, if the tea was served by gorillas on rollerskates, I would still dine here. IT'S THAT GOOD.
