The Empress Tea Room & Event Dinning
I've attended both brunch and high tea at the Empress and am really blown away by both the food quality and service. As a 'tea tourist,' I find the Empress above the rest, with the one exception being the CIA restaurants in Hyde Park, NY. Aside from the unbelievably delicious scones and homemade Devonshire cream, the great quiche and salads and cute front shop, the service is unparalleled. I felt almost like I was a special customer. The hostess gave me a tour of the premises before seating me and describing all the food options precisely. So cheerful and helpful! I can't wait to take my mom next time she visits me. Thank you, Empress!
