Each year we take turns finding a teahouse to take our mums for our annual Mums' Day Tea. We were a party of 8 and had the Queen's Tea. Although we did not have one table for all eight of us to sit at, we did have a room to ourselves. After a warm greeting, we sat at a beautiflly set table and you were transported to an era of long ago. As noted in the review above, you do get a small green and fruit salad; 4 different tea sandwiches, a heart-shaped cookie, chocolate dipped strawberry; lemon bar; brownie; wonderful quiche which was a nice portion; and a warm scone with lemon curd, jam and cream. For those of us who have gone to teahouses before: the scone is more like a muffin than some others we've had, but quite good nevertheless; and we had to take a little take-home bag which Barbara supplied (plastic bag to put the food in and white paper bag to put the plastic bag in) because we were all full. That is unusual for teahouses. The price is what we have normally paid for our teas. And, yes, the table was fully set with our food, except for the scones which Barbara brought out warm. The tea selection was wide. Although each table came to a concensus on the tea, I am sure that had we wanted two different teas at each table, we would have been accommodated. Maybe a suggestion would be to have a tea selection menu because Barbara offers so many choices. I give Barbara's Victorian Teahouse my highest recommendation.
