sTEAp house
Just blocks away from the Crayola Factory and Nat'l Canal Museum is this wonderful little tea gem. My daughter and I were warmly welcomed by one of the owners, Judy. The setting is, as the name implies, tranquil, to say the least. The warm tones and smell of warming tea relax you the moment you step into Tranquilitea. The food was delicious, tea - perfect (nice selection), and the service, well, the friendliest, most attentive, and timely I've had in a long time at any restaurant/tea house. My young daugther, who was a bit antsy at the time, was walked over to the book area and picked out some great books, appropriate for her age (4) and it kept her occupied long enough for her food to be prepared and presented. 'Mommy, The chicken soup is DELICIOUS!' Coming from a very picky 4 year old, that'a a major compliment. You have to try the Sweet Potato pie... It's delish! Be sure to say hello to Judy and Jasmine, they were wonderful and we can't wait to go back to Tranquilitea. It is so worth the trip!
