I attended on Sunday, August 21, 2011 for a luncheon tea sitting that I received via the groupon coupon I bought for $10 (a $20 value). Because I have been to this parlor several times before, I was half expecting to receive a less-than-normal tea sitting because of the extreme discount of the groupon. But I was in for a delightful surprise when the tea meal and service we received was completely up to par and I was treated like I always have been in the past, which was like a queen. I also must say that there was a couple sitting next to us that was rather grumpy from the moment they walked in until the moment they left. I was very impressed with the staff and the parlor manager/owner as they sensed their grumpiness and went above and beyond to give them every chance possible to cheer up. It didn't appear they turned around their attitudes but I can only imagine they had a horrible situation outside of the sitting today. Great job to Dash staff for staying so positive around grumpy people.
Thanks for the great review, Jean! Yes, we occasionally get very grumpy guests who can't be pleased no matter what we do. Those are the times that serving people isn't a lot of fun but we figure that as long as we try our best to meet their needs, we're giving them the best opportunity to leave our facility with a smile on their face. However, it is rare to get grumpy guests. Most of our guests are wonderful.
