The Pink Bicycle Tea Room
My friends and I decided to try the Pink Bicycle - and we're so glad we did! Despite the variety of hats available for visitors to don, The Pink Bicycle is simply charming without being fussy. In fact, everything about the place is just right. The decor is nice, with tables large enough to accommodate a good amount of food and tea. The tea selection is extensive (highly recommend the Oolong!). We each had The Queen's Tea, which started off with salad or soup (cheesy broccoli today), each of which were tasty and just the right portion. The scone (white chocolate) was just slightly sweet -- and the cream and jam were perfect with it. The tea sandwiches were delightful. Each had a touch of something to make it unique: the egg salad had a bit of pickle, the cucumber had a touch of dill, and the pecan and pineapple chutney spread was tangy. The desserts were all homemade (mini creme puffs, mini apple tarts, and brownie bites) and just the right amount of sweetness. We plan to enjoy tea there again soon!
